News of another impending VIX signing has Nell looking on edge, the latest Flyweight acquisition not smiling earlier at the press table, especially when reporters keep asking her for her thoughts on Madison Beer.

“She got lucky the last time we fought, and I was definitely going easy on her during the Scouting Mission,” Nell says with a touch of jealousy. “She was a rookie, after all, and I’ve had more fights than her at that point. If we were to fight again, I’m sure the result would be very different. As for Campbell, she hasn’t exactly fought since last year, and her last two fights were bad losses. I’m eager to put her away early as well.”

Danielle Campbell may be stumbling recently in her career, but don’t let the PLP starlet tell you otherwise. She’s entirely dismissive of Nell’s earlier comments, and scoffs when the youngster pledges to KO her in record time.

“You know, you should take some of your own advice, Nell,” Danielle says later, with a smirk. “I’m the one with more experience in this fight, and regardless of your internal drama with the rest of the VIX locker room, I’m planning to win the first fight of 2023.”

Ladies square off at the podium moments later, and that two inches Nell has on Danielle might come in handy. Of course, Campbell has relied on her own physicality in the past to get the job done, and doesn’t look one bit intimidated, merely cocking her fists and matching Nell’s pose to her chin and chest.

Hours later, we’re all set for ten rounds of Flyweight action in the ring, with Nell and Danielle geared up and ready to go in opposite corners of the ring. Tiger Free is sporting a plain white crop top and blue boxing trunks, bouncing light on her toes as her name is announced and she spins to acknowledge the cheers of the crowds, a single arm raised high in the air. Across from her, Campbell has gone for an olive green sports singlet that’s cut off early, showing off her toned midsection. She’s dressed in a black pair of boxing trunks, together with red gloves.

HERE WE GO with the referee’s signal for the bell!

ROUND 1:
Nell and Danielle lock horns, and it's like they've got fire in their fists! Danielle unleashes her raw power, immediately lunging under the arms and pounding Nell's stomach with thunderous hooks. You can hear the smack of leather against flesh as Nell grimaces, trying to stand her ground. But she's got some tricks up her sleeve too. Her nimble footwork allows her to dance around Danielle, striking back with lightning-fast jabs that find their way to Danielle's cheek and nose. As the round progresses, Nell starts to find her rhythm, timing her counters with precision. She ducks under another one of Danielle's hooks and answers with a crisp right cross to her jaw, momentarily stunning the more experienced fighter. The momentum swings back and forth as they exchange heavy hits, neither willing to back down. Nell's quick footwork proves to be an advantage as she evades more of Danielle's powerful shots, while delivering stinging blows to her opponent's face. With the round coming to a close, both fighters are breathing heavily, sweat already beading on their foreheads. The judges give it close to Tiger Free, who landed just a smidgen more offense than her counterpart…

ROUND 2:
Danielle storms into the second with newfound determination in her eyes. She puts relentless pressure on Nell early, cornering her against the ropes and unloading a barrage of punches to her arms and body. Nell tries her best to defend, but she's on the backfoot from the bell, grunting with each hit that lands on her sides and torso. Danielle's punches are heavy and relentless, the PLP brunette seemingly intent on breaking through Nell's defenses and exerting her power. The crowd can feel the intensity in the air as Danielle forces Nell into the ropes, shoving stiff leather into her midsection and arms for the first minute alone… Nell does her best to escape, using her footwork to evade some of the shots to the left and right, but almost always finding herself backed up against the corner or side of the ring again. Of course, the Vixen is fighting back with her jab, aiming for Danielle's cheek and chin, but the Pretty Little Punchers boxer shakes off those hits and keeps coming forward. Finally, at the bell, there's no doubt which fighter has made her point decisively, Danielle’s aggression and tenacity having paid off, leaving Nell to regroup and rethink her strategy.

ROUND 3:
Danielle tries to replicate her earlier strategy of pressuring Nell and targeting her body, but this time. Tiger Free is ready. She takes the initiative, coming out swinging first with a flurry of jabs, finding success in landing bigger cross-combos that stun Danielle to the mouth and nostrils. Danielle is STILL determined to push forward, but the damage to her face is becoming more and more evident, her head snapping backwards and her vision blurred by leather, and it's affecting her ability to execute her game plan. As the round progresses, both fighters fall back into a more cautious approach, circling each other from a distance and throwing occasional power shots. In the third minute, Nell decides to take charge and step up her own aggression, continuing to target Danielle's head with precise blows that find their mark around and about Danielle's loose guard. Towards the end of the round, Nell even manages to sneak in several stiff thumps to Danielle's toned midsection, further wearing her down and leaving her lurching at the bell.

ROUND 4:
Round four starts slow as both fighters size each other up, looking for an opening to strike. Nell continues to target Danielle's face, but her firm blocking makes it difficult for Nell to find an opening. However, Danielle’s patience pays off. Suddenly, she sees an opportunity and powers in a side-hook to Nell's head. The blow connects, jolting Nell’s features to the side, and forces Nell to backpedal, leaving her vulnerable to further attack! Danielle rushes in to pummel the tummy, Nell covering her head on instinct but leaving herself open to attacks from the bottom up. Campbell wading in and making her power known first-hand, shoving a nasty uppercut to the stomach that doubles the Vixen over, leaving her defenseless and her mouth hanging open, before another devastating hook connects with the side of her chin! OUCH!! And Nell goes DOWN hard, sprawling onto her side by the ropes, her head hung and eyes wide shut! It’s a KNOCKDOWN from Danielle Campbell, who lets out a roar of triumph, pumping her arms in celebration as she moves to the neutral corner!

Nell’s wobbling even on all fours, visibly shaken and trying to shake off the pain. The question lingers in the air—will she be able to beat the referee's count and continue the fight? As the referee starts the count, Nell begins to push herself up, determination etched on her face, finally managing to beat the count by the referee's call of 8.

However, the bell rings soon after, signaling the continuation of the round, and Nell knows she has to tough it out for another two minutes. Of course, Danielle isn't letting up. She goes on the offensive, relentlessly lunging for Nell's vulnerable tummy and landing more heavy shots on her sides and ribs. She's trying to bully Nell into the ropes and finish her off for good! Nell does her best to cover up and keep moving, but the blows take a toll, and she groans from the pain, feeling the stuffing getting knocked out of her. Despite the punishing onslaught, Nell survives, breathing hard and looking battered at the bell. But the important thing is that she's still in the fight, earning an equally defiant scowl and curse from Campbell on her way back to the corner.

ROUND 5:
Round kicks off and Danielle Campbell is all in for blood, quickly dominating the center of the ring and shooting for Tiger Free's midriff. She's driving forward with ruthless purpose, her fists morphing into pummeling pistons aimed at Free's ribs and belly. The objective is crystal clear – drain Nell's reserves, and dismantle her fighting spirit. Yet, Free ain't making it easy for her. She's adjusting her stance, fortifying her defense around her torso to weather the relentless storm. Her arms are sealed around her midsection, prepared to intercept and deflect the incoming assaults. Though each blow lands with thunderous intent, Nell skillfully parries, absorbing less and less of the punishing force. And just when Danielle least expects it, Nell finds an opening. Like a panther pouncing, she retaliates with a vicious jab snapping straight into Campbell's unsuspecting nose. She follows up with an immaculately executed uppercut that lands right on her lips. Danielle's head reels back, her focus shattered by the unexpected flurry of blows. Seizing the moment, Free goes for the kill. She hones in on Campbell's vulnerable midriff, raining a barrage of brutal straight punches into her exposed abs. Every thudding impact resonates through Danielle's body, bending her forward in grunting discomfort. The tension in the ring spikes when suddenly, Nell unleashes a fearsome right hook. It swivels Danielle's head to the side sharply, her eyes blinking in shock as her body follows the motion, sending her sprawling onto the canvas with a thud that echoes in the suddenly silent arena! And just like that! KNOCKDOWN for Nell Tiger Free! The crowd roars, the sound deafening as the referee moves swiftly, starting the count.

Danielle, still sprawled on the floor, blinks up at him, her expression a mixture of disbelief and frustration. She tries to push herself up, her arms trembling, but it's clear she's been rattled too hard. Nell retreats to the neutral corner, her breaths deep and measured, her eyes locked on the stricken Danielle. She watches, a potent mix of anticipation and trepidation swirling within her as the referee's count continues, his voice steady amidst the chaos.

"...8...9...10!" The referee waves his arms, signifying the end of the match. Danielle is still rolled over on all fours, her tongue stuck out, eyes squeezed shut! It was clear from the start she wouldn't be able to beat the count!

AFTER:
The deafening roar of the crowd slowly recedes, replaced by the contrasting quiet of the aftermath as Nell Tiger Free celebrates her well-earned victory, a bright, almost surprised smile lighting up her face. She takes a moment to wave to her fans before leaving the ring, her victorious figure silhouetted against the flood of stadium lights.

Campbell, on the other hand, struggles to her feet, aided by a pair of swift medical personnel. Her face is a palette of frustration, defeat and something else – raw determination. She stumbles slightly as she makes her way to her corner, but her eyes remain locked onto the departing figure of Nell, a cold glint of unspoken promises in their depths.

Surrounded by the concerned faces of her team, Danielle takes a moment to collect herself before the reporters descend on her like a pack of hungry wolves, their questions flying fast and hard.

"I'll be back," Danielle says, her voice biting through the noise, a bitter edge to her words. "This isn't over. Not by a long shot." She glares at the cameras, her eyes gleaming with fierce resolve. "Nell better not get too comfortable with that win. I'll be seeing her again, soon. And next time, things are going to end differently."
