Before: ‘Livy in a tight spot. Losing 4 out of 5 in the last year, dropping out of title contention, but still too highly rated for managers to take a chance on. Means she has to take what she can get, and right now that means a tough up&comer scalp-hunting after being rejected for the title. “Jenna’s the real deal, no doubt about that, but she’s about to find out there’s a lot of the FCBA she still has to see.”

Jenna flying high right now, in 10 months her only losses have been title fights, and things look pretty good from up here. “I handled Maddie Ziegler, she couldn’t. There’s no reason this fight doesn’t end the same way that one does.

R1: Classy clockwise jab-and-hop - girls bouncing out, then in, trying to find range. Olivia the first to commit: stiff jab; pounding right; stabbing straight left chasing Jenna to ropes. Ortega shows earmuff, stoops forward: Holt straps waist a thick right/left - resetting on front leg to dig home the extra left hook to Latina ribs. Jenna coiled, rips the right uppercut: ‘Livy brushed back, lopes to midring, giving up top position at ropes. More jabbing-recon, followed by determined assault: this time Ortega in off the jab, pounding crosses and hooks on the come. Holt driven ropeside, ducks, fits Jenna for left uppercut to tummy, trades short right hands inside as girls crowd close. HAMMER AND TONGS! Furious exchange as athletic little girls unleash - bending and twisting into hooks/uppercuts. Delayed reaction in Ortega's knees - she's buzzed, backs off. Holt strong down the stretch, steppin' in that jab, threatening Jenna's flanks: brunette hounded to ropes, forming sturdy earmuff as ‘Livy squares away. Holt strong to the bell, strapping Ortega's ribs/flanks big, thick rights and lefts. Crowd exulting at the healthy leather - in particular several named flyweights anxious to see Ortega set back.

R2: Confidence-building lefts bounce off Olivia’s body as Jenna getting the jump this round, steady work done. Both girls slightly more flat-footed now, clearly feeling the heat. Holt grunts when Ortega’s short, hammering rights touch up her ribs. Jenna liking that sound – pummeling ‘Livy’s midsection with spearing rights. More body work: wide shots from the side, busting up both fighters effectively. Ortega more aggressive, her jab has Holt scowling, frustrated. Gradual strength reduction both fighter’s plan – keep her opponent busy, make her walk a lot, start going to the body, to take away each other’s lungs.

R3: Olivia ups the ante, more jabbing! Jenna does land at times, but she’s unable to deal with holt’s mobility, can’t sustain any punching. Hard lefts busting Ortega up, she’s pulverized by the power and pace of her opponent’s jab. Strapping shots to the ribs show their effects on Jenna she’s gasping, mouthbreathing. ‘Livy not too risky, operates behind her jab, shows her technical superiority on all grounds. When she wants, Holt goes to the body, landing hard on Ortega. When Jenna starts landing, Olivia reacts, opening the range and jabbing Latina’s rising hopes away. Ortega’s not badly shaken, but she’s beginning to be battle-signed and can’t seem to get any more leverage on her shots.

R4: Jenna tunes up aggression mode a bit: Olivia still jabbing in rush-busting fashion, but when she feels brunette’s power, she tries to move out, but finds herself cut off. Slugging at one point, savage toe-to-toe, pleases the crowd, sees Ortega finally starting to land some more. Jenna at last on comfortable terms, trades rotating rights with ‘Livy, blonde no longer able to operate behind her jab. Holt catches Ortega a nice punch on the chin but no visible effect. Olivia out-punched in body-to-body contest as Jenna takes over in the last minute. Both fighters busted up, hurt, good variety from both flyweight, going at various parts of each other’s body.

R5: Early in the round: Holt’s jab stopping Jenna on the outside. More minutes of ‘Livy dictating terms but Ortega is fighting durably – less mobile than at the beginning but proving sturdy as she finally breaks through in the middle minute. Pumping hooks toe-to-toe seems to go Holt’s way, until – Ortega’s suddenly EXPLODING in a strong, sledgehammer windmilling haymaker-series that shocks both blonde and the audience. Rampaging Jenna combinations bruise Olivia’s face, one punch LOOSENS her head wildly, but even though her knees buckle, her strong legs keep her standing. Holt flat-footed, lumbers around hurt at the ropes. Ortega furiously unleashing crosses and hooks as ‘Livy’s battered into the ropes.

R6: Olivia doubling up the jab, forcing it through Jenna's guard, spanking face. Ortega knocked off-stance - forced to regroup, Holt walking brunette down, jabbing her, then featuring the wide right roundhouse to body: like she's hitting Jenna with an oar. Ortega hounded to apron, hurting, but cagey, left/right tic-toc body assault from Holt blocked on Latina's elbows: Jenna issuing an immediate short left uppercut receipt, finding chin. Girls dip in close, trade short right hands: ‘Livy's back leg trembles in exchange. Girls twist into left hooks, each rolling to her right side on follow-through; Jenna able to brawl off the ropes, forcing Holt back a step. Tightly configured guards...heads/gloves leaning in close together, elbows close to bodies: little vixens dipping and twisting with hips&backs behind power shots. Banging two way, but Olivia getting harmed: thumping left in her rightside ribs; short overhand right to her hairline; dip-n-rip left uppercuts bracing her tits. Holt gets it: she disengages, sliding back in stance while issuing good smoke-screen jabs: Ortega unable to roar in. ‘Livy circles to her right - Jenna walking her down: blonde jabs jug, slides back half a step, hooks chin as Ortega's flowing forward. Jenna startled, but aggressive, she loads up righty and EATS A CROSS! Olivia leaning in, turning Ortega's chin even as brunette's right flops out. Jenna's back leg gives way...she corkscrews to her right, pitching onto her back in stupor. Ortega’s hands up around her head, she's helpless, can't fight off the count. In the background, Ricci slamming her palm on the apron, screaming "GET UP!" KO6 in diamond-cutter fashion, Olivia Holt

After: Olivia roughed up in spots - slender hard-body occasionally tested by the sturdy ruggedness of Jenna. "The kid's scrappy," Holt shrugs. "And strong: when she gets position inside, she's tough to budge. But I'm just way too much for this kind of fighter. I touched her whenever I wanted, I put my hands wherever I wanted - she was target practice for me. I'm the best at 110, period, end of story. Avril needs to suit up and take her whupping on the beach.
