TROIAN BELLISARIO VS NAOMI SCOTT

Troian: 37 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m), 41-37-0, 37 KO since 2011 Pretty Little Punchers

Naomi: 30 YO, 5’6 (1.67 m), 25-11-0,. 25 KO since 2017, Foxfire Boxing

Before: “We’re working to get me fully adjusted to working under Foxfire management after leaving HISC,” explains Naomi in the prefight press meeting. “I would not call it a drastic change, but has been different. I did win my first fight at Foxfire over Margot Robbie, but we are building on that with this fight. If you have checked the Bantam Rankings you’ll see Troian is ranked higher than myself. That is another good reason for me to take her on, because she is a good opportunity to advance up the division ladder.”

Troian Bellisario says: “I am looking forward to this fight. She beat me in 2020 and, not that I hold grudges, I have some bad feelings towards her.”

“Oh, come on, Bellisario, surely I am not the only FCBA fighter to Walk you,” Naomi replies.

“You were one of the more memorable ones,” Troian says, “I welcome the chance to even the score.”

“That’s nice of you to say, I like to think I remain a burning memory in all the fighters I’ve defeated,” Naomi replies.”

“Don’t flatter yourself. It is more an annoying memory than a burning one,” Troian snaps.

“I will settle for that, though I am hoping to make it worse after this fight,” Naomi said with a smirk.

Troian gives Naomi an icy stare and says: “We;’ll just have to settle this in the ring.”

Naomi nods: “Fine with me.”

Come the fight of their fight, Troian is scowling at a smiling Naomi as they meet with the referee ahead of the fight. Troian is in a light purple one piece swimsuit with black boots and gloves (purple laces). Her hair in a messy ponytail. Naomi in white one piece with silver patter. She has silver boots and gloves with white lacings. Her hair is pulled back in a tight battle braid. The ring instructions are completed. There is a sharp “Tap” of the gloves (as Troian rams hers into Naomi’s). Then they head for their corners. Tense pause and then DING! IT’S ON!

R1: Troian driving on Naomi in the early going. Troian keeping Nomi occupied with a fast moving attack that moves between head and body in an unpredictable pattern. Naomi caught off guard more than once as unexpected blows smite her to the jaw or bury themselves in her belly. Naomi trying to get some counters going, but Troian is showing a lot of upper body movement and quick moves that are making her a difficult target. Troian looking smooth as she winds up the round and Naomi is left bruised and sweaty. Round to Troian Bellisario wide.

R2: Naomi makes sure she is the fastest put of her corner this round and plows into Troian with big right and left shots to the jaw. Troian has barely cleared her own corner and now is falling back, trying to protect her head as Naomi pounds her body like a jackhammer. Troian getting shoved into her own corner hastily clinches to aid this. They set up again, but Naomi is again working hard to hammer Troian’s body. Troian trying to jab Naomi back but Naomi not budging and keeps the pressure on by whacking away at Troian’s side ribs as well. Naomi looks in charge this round and she leaves Troian the bruised and sweaty one. Round wide to Naomi Scott.

R3: Naomi and Troian both out fast this round, but it is Naomi Scott who strikes first going hard for Troian’s right side ribs. Troian feeling the burning pain in her flank, tries to turn and jab Naomi back. Naomi circles and now goes in against Troian midsection with slashing hooks. Then overhand punches to strike at Troian’s forehead just above her protective gloves. Cut opens up along Troi’s hairline and crimson starts trickling down. Troian punching back with the jab, but Naomi on the move again, returns to Troi’s right flank for another pounding of those side ribs. Troian feeling it to the body, trying to punch Naomi back, but Naomi hammering away to the bell. Another round goes wide to Naomi Scott.

R4: Troian worked on by the PLP corner crew during break. She comes out, watching as Naomi tries to bob and weave her way in. Troian suddenly lunges forward and punches Naomi right between the eyes with bellringing right hand. Blood drips from Naomi’s nose as she recoils and Troian gives her rights and lefts to the jaw and chin. Naomi buries her face in her gloves as Troian now goes to the body with a vengeful body beat down. Naomi is quickly all hunched up and barely able to get out a few counters to keep from being shut out. Troian goes after Naomi’s right flank in another vengeful beating. Naomi stays on her feet, but she’s worked over hard by the time the bell ring, Troian Bellisario wins round wide.

R5: Naomi Scott now gets the anxious attention of her Foxfire corner crew. Bell rings and Naomi is slow coming out. Troian seems to sense weakness and moves right in. Naomi struggling to keep up as now Troian is hitting her head and body a bewildering pattern. Naomi getting banged to the side of the head can't be helping her thought processes. Then Troian settle on a series of deep hooks to the midsection that sends Naomi falling backwards all bent over until she is sitting on the ropes. Naomi goes face in gloves as Troian works her right flank over and over until she’s got Naomi shuddering with each blow. Then she moves to strike at Naomi’s rib cage with repeated punches. Naomi writhing under the bombardment, but her legs keep her up to the bell. A greyfaced Naomi finally feels herself off the ropes. Troian wins this round wide.

R6: More hard work by the Foxfire corner and trainer Virginia Madsen telling her fighter she’s got to get back into this fight. Naomi nodding. Makes a determined effort move out faster this round at the bell. Troian comes in hard again, this time aiming for Naomi’s chin, but Naomi able to turn and block the incoming with her shoulder and then turn back with a SMASHING right against Troian’s chin. Troian suddenly going wobbly as she staggers from the chin shot. Naoi moving to make Troian’s head bob with quick uppercuts under the chin. Troian looking glassy-eyed, can’t seem to get her gloves up high enough to protect her face and then Naomi unloads a bellringer right that smites Troian between the eyes. TROIAN CRUMBLES! Troian’s knees give way and she nose dives into the canvas. Naomi struts away to the neutral corner. Referee moves in over the fallen Troian who is in a heap on her face. She tries to push hersef up, but her arms fail her.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!,,, YOU ARE OUT!:”

THE WINNER NAOMI SCOTT DEFEATS TROIAN BELLIARIO KO6!

After: “I guess I showed her!: Naomi Scoyy declars while impatiently waiting for Troian to e checked over. As soon as she is, Naomi is right there to get an arm around the woozy Troian and half-drag her around the ring. PLP fans not happy to see one of their favorites get such rude treatment. Naomi defiant once she’s done and gives Troian back to her corner.

“She had it coming, She thought she could beat me , but she couldn’t pull it off. I was just proving that point to her!”

Troian not commenting until next day when she says: “Naomi Scott is a punk. I could hardly stand and she tried to humiliate me. I thought Foxfire taught their fighters better manners.”

“Loser talk,” is all Naomi says in response before she is hushed by Foxfire Communications Director Beth Harnois and led away. Foxfire is silent on whether or not Naomi was reprimanded on the matter, but it has certainly produced a chill between Foxfire and PLP.

The fight itself was a good one. Naomi looked dominating in mist of the early rounds, but Troian came back with two big rounds in the 4thand 5th. Unfortunately, Naomi nailed Troian early in the 6th and got heavily shelled before she went down and stayed there. Tough loss for Bellisario, but a needed strong effort by Scott who needs to show the dominance she had while a champion. Observers will be watching closely to see if her Foxfire comeback continues.
