Intro:
Tonight is the FCBA debut bout for Jesinta Campbell. The current ACB welterweight champion has fought in the BBU too, so now she joins the likes of her stablemate Miranda Kerr as the rare breed of fighter to fight in all the celebrity female boxing organisations. Her opponent tonight is a former FCBA welterweight champion in Hilary Rhoda. Who now is looking to take another step towards a possible Hall of Fame place in future and back into title contention.

Funnily enough the two career losses Jesinta has had were to the same fighter. The BBU welterweight champion Josephine Skriver is the stablemate of Hilary. A victory over Hilary might make Josephine take notice and we might get a trilogy of fights between those two or Hilary might get enough info from Josephine to blast out the ACB champion, adding more intrigue to a big contest.

Before the bout both said a few words to the FCBA Networks Alicia Atout backstage. Jesinta stood holding her green strapped gold plated ACB title over her right shoulder, wearing a floral white dress with white heels as she smiled to Alicia.

"I am here to add another string to my bow. When people talk about the best welters in the world, I don't get mentioned. Of course you get Kate Upton and the like but I see Josephine gets a mention once in a while, me? I get no respect even as I hold the title that Elle MacPherson made famous, I deserve to be respected as an elite fighter" says Jesinta as her right hand grips her title tightly.

Asked about her thoughts on Hilary. Jesinta answers "she is a former champion and is a top contender most months right? So beating her should be a good start. I get she is tough, she knows how to box at a high level but I also know she is there to be knocked out." Looking confident as she leaves to go to her locker room.

Hilary meanwhile is wearing a navy blue blouse, black jeans and black heels as she goes to talk to Alicia. Asking the interviewer "things haven't exactly been going great have they?" With a chuckle, losing her last two bouts.

"Jesinta is a solid opponent to have as I try to steer the ship back in the right direction. She has lots of pride of course as a champion and I'd love to take the title off her but it isn't up for grabs. What will be though is proving that I am championship material still. So bring your best Jestina because I will beat you back down under" says Hilary. Pointing at the camera as she makes her threat at the end. Patting Alicia on her left shoulder with a nod before she heads off.

Fighting time! Jesinta is out first with coach Nikki Visser beside her. In the VIP section sits her stable manager Elle MacPherson watching her fighter keenly. Jesinta looks serious as she steps into the ring, wearing her green sports bra, green trunks with gold stripes down the sides to match her boots, gold gloves with green thumbs as her hair is in a ponytail. Jesinta takes a quick breath before nodding to Nikki that she is ready for this contest.

Hilary now begins her walk to the ring with coach Rebecca Romijn behind her. Hilary is wearing a black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with black thumbs as her hair is tied into a ponytail too. She climbs into the ring with eyes only for her opponent, bouncing on her toes shaking her arms loose.

The referee waves the fighters to them at the center of the ring. Both stare each other down as the tension is clear. Both wanting to prove superior over the other in this first time clash. Once the instructions are read out they both crack their gloves into their opponents set. Jogging back to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Coming out their corners, both exchanging single punches to start as they move around the middle of the ring. Getting a feel for each other as they both try some right hooks and uppercuts that find simply air. Instead getting caught in return with counter punches to their jaws and cheeks. it's a closely fought opening minute as they start opening up more.

Jesinta deflects a straight to hammer in one of her own to the face of her opponent. A left/right hook combo soon lands on the cheeks of Hilary as Jesinta shows off her quick fists. The American forced to move back to the outside as Campbell starts to throw more power shots behind her jab. Jesinta holding the middle of the ring as she begins to show her confidence flowing.

While Hilary lands a few solid combos as she moves around the perimeter, the better shots are coming from the ACB champion. Jesinta landing a few sneaky shots into the chest of Hilary. Soon the bell dings to end the opener, Jesinta looks confident as she sits on her stool, Hilary nodding to Rebecca that she will not let her foe run away with this fight.

Round 2:
Both get back to it with more punches starting to fly back to back. Hilary catches Jesinta with a left cross before ploughing a straight into her face. Using the opening to back up the Aussie to the ropes, Hilary whacks away at the body of her opponent when she can't land flush over the top. Forcing Campbell into a tight clinch.

They are pushed apart before resuming with Hilary now holding the center of the ring. Jesinta moving side to side more, both stinging the others cheeks with straight punches, the heavier punches start to come at the half way stage of the round as hisses can be heard when hooks crash against cheeks to turn heads.

An uppercut catches Jesinta on her chin, she finds herself backed into a neutral corner as Hilary shows her the power she can carry. Jesinta does show her toughness to swing back, problem is she can't load up as much as the American can, leading to her covering up in the dying moments of the round till the bell rings. Solid return round for Rhoda as she walks back to her corner with Rebecca nodding her approval.

Round 3:
Another closely fought exchange to start the round, both throwing more flurries, landing some on gloves but most are landing on target to cause a little pink hue to form on fighters cheeks. Jesinta lands a few body shots to switch things up, getting caught over the top with short hooks in reply as both really wanna grab control of the action.

The crowd love the back and forth but it's Campbell who grabs their attention by leaning out the way of a right cross, she spikes a jab into the face of Hilary before landing a right hook to her jaw. Hilary finds herself crowded back against the ropes, her abs being tested by short piston like punches as Jesinta looks to pin her down.

Nudging Jesinta off her; Hilary gets back into space, problem for her is that Jesinta is starting to outwork her this round. A cut soon forms on the bridge of Rhoda's nose from a short left cross. Jesinta hammers her back with a follow up jab/straight/jab combo that knocks her back to the ropes as the bell dings to end the round. Both fighters sit and get their brows wiped down, Jesinta taps her gloves together as she is keen to prove herself to the FCBA fans.

Round 4:
Jesinta kicks off the round pretty well with her jab smacking into the cut on her foes nose. Hilary forced to move around the perimeter of the round as Campbell looks fully focused. A right hook though from Jesinta just falls short as Hilary leans back before planting a counter left cross on the chin of the ACB champion to twist her head around.

Back across the ring they go as Hilary now piles the pressure on a defending Jesinta, whacking away at her torso when she has Campbell on the ropes. Hilary gets clinched up by Jesinta, both grappling with foreheads touching as they try to prove their dominance by pinning the other on the ropes, referee taking their time to break them apart.

Once they resume it is Hilary landing her punches more flush of the fighters. Jesinta gritting her gumshield as there's a mouse forming under her left eye from a right cross. The round soon ends with both women staring the other down, annoyed that they can't control the other for long periods. Sweat starting to coat their bodies as they sit on their stools getting advice from their coach.

Round 5:
Again Jesinta starts off pretty well behind her jab, though she is getting caught with a few cross punches out the guard of Hilary. A double jab/straight combo crashes into the face of Hilary to knock her back two steps. Jesinta works Hilary back into a neutral corner with a mixture of body shots and hooks over the top till she is held onto. The referee breaks them apart as a few insults are exchanged as tempers are flaring up.

Fighting again with Jesinta looking to keep the heat on Hilary. Working her around the outside part of the ring as Hilary is more focused on defence at the moment, allowing Jesinta to land some nice two and three punch combos. A few marks are showing around Rhoda's toned body.

In the last forty seconds a left hook catches out Jesinta as it lands on her chin. Her right dropped too low and before she knows it she is being pressed backwards by Hilary. Jesinta manages to move into space before being pinned down, both going toe to toe to the delight of the crowd. Heads getting snapped back as sweat and a little bit of blood goes flying. At the bell they hold back with a venomous stare aimed at their opponent. Sitting back on their stools moments later, Jesinta looks on top of the scorecards to most but she isn't pulling away from Hilary as we head into the second half of the scheduled rounds.

Round 6:
Trading stiff jabs to start off; Hilary slips a jab to land an overhand right that opens a gash under the left eye of Jesinta. A straight soon lands on the same spot to make Campbell back off with a wince and a hiss. Hilary not one to let someone off the hook so easily as she pounds in a follow up left/right hook combo as she hunts after Jesinta.

Fists are flying but it's Jesinta getting the worst of it as she is being knocked onto her heels. A right hook on the chin twists Jesinta's head to the side as she stumbles slightly into the ropes. A FOLLOW UP RIGHT HOOK POUNDS INTO THE EAR OF CAMPBELL TO SEND HER CRASHING DOWN ONTO HER RIGHT SIDE!

Hilary walks over to the neutral corner with blood dripping off the end of her nose from her cut. 1....2....3....4... Jesinta groans as she rolls to her back. 5....6....7... Blood running from her cut down her cheek to the canvas as she isn't moving much. 8....9....10 that's it for this fight!

Winner Hilary Rhoda KO Round 6

After:
An impressive knockout there for Hilary in a fight that could have went either way. Jesinta certainly pushed Hilary throughout that fight and arguably was the better fighter till she was left laying knocked out of her senses as she is staring at the lights.

The winner going back to her corner to a warm embrace from Rebecca. Who tells her "you made hard work of that" with a wink. Hilary nods with a smile as it certainly was never going to be easy going against a top level opponent. Hilary getting wiped down and patched up as she hisses when her cut is worked on.

All the while Jesinta is helped to sit up. She is checked over but soon the room stops spinning for her and gingerly she stands up. The crowd applaud her as for her FCBA debut, Jesinta certainly didn't embarrass herself in any way. She gives them a thumbs up to show she will be okay.

There's a nod of respect between the fighters when they look at each other. Once Jesinta is patched up and feels good enough to leave the ring on her own, she steps out the ring and heads to the back, she didn't fly to America to lose and congratulate an opponent. Shaking her head as she is near the door to the backstage area. Jesinta looks annoyed at herself for not taking the chances to win this fight. This might not be her only FCBA appearance so she can always get that win she craves clearly here.

Hilary on the other hand is beaming as her right hand is raised in victory. She bows to each side of the ring to show the crowd her thanks for their support. Rebecca tapping Hilary's abs as she tells her "you better keep in this shape as you ain't getting younger, these young fighters are coming for you" with a laugh. Hilary playfully nudges her away with a chuckle as both joke around, showing the tight bond they have formed.

But as they leave the ring there is some truth to that. While welterweight has traditionally been a division where older fighters can thrive, it has become a division where the likes of Hailey Clauson, Amy Willerton and other young stars are starting to battle the older heads for the top spots, could that elusive second FCBA welterweight title never come for Hilary and can she keep moving closer to a Hall of Fame spot?
