Location: Miami, Florida
BEFORE: Vintage Poland vs Germany clash on the beach which is always serious business regardless of the circumstances. Sandra Kubicka is an established name in the celebrity boxing universe but Ann-Kathrin Brommel plans to use her as a platform to elevate herself into moderate contention. Sometimes a single victory can outweight ten others IF you beat the right opponent at the right time. That's even more probable among these models that have overcrowded the lightweight division in the last few seasons.
Sandra Kubicka wears a blue bikini set & white gloves. Long blonde hair loose & straight. Ann-Kathrin Brommel wears a white bikini set & red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair loose & straight. Both women are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Sandra prefers to wait out the early German charge and soaks up a couple of big hits in the process as Brommel takes over the jabbing command and tries to smack the fellow blonde's head off right away. Easier said than done but A-K lands more promising hooks up the middle and keeps lashing out in close range before driving the lethargic Pole back to the ropes. Sandra finally wakes up to deliver an overhand response but keeps missing the fellow model's head and gets stuck in the hole while Brommel pounds away in fury and leaves a couple of shiners on Kubicka's face before the round is over. Ugh! That's not what the Lioness entourage expected but Sandra is guilty of a really sluggish start that Ann-Kathrin exploited with room to spare in the opening round.
Round 2:
No more idle pace from Sandra who blows up the German guard early & often in the second triggering a back & forth head-hunting exchange that Ann-Kathrin duly accepts at first but then gets busted with a brutal left hook on the eye which staggers her on the spot and allows the younger model to lean on with the slugging plan. Sandra rattles Ann-Kathrin's head from both sides and makes her cry out in pain before another left hook cuts the older blonde below the eye. She tries to work the overhand response but Kubicka remains in high gear and lands more punches on target gradually working the German back to the ropes while Brommel simply comes off second best in the high-octane exchange. She fails to avoid getting trapped on the ropes but manages to plug a couple of guts shots late in the run to slow the Polish foe down even though she still takes another left hook on the eye that begins to swell in worrying manner already.
Round 3:
Ann-Kathrin goes on a head-hunting rampage and she drills Sandra on the mouth a few times but then bounces off the top of her forehead and wobbles into a chin-checker response that neutralizes her early charge. Kubicka lets it fly and slams a left/right combo on the mouth before another drilling hook on the swollen eye shuts Brommel down on the spot. She tries to spin across the sand to bide some time in mid-distance alas Sandra is too quick for that idea and SMOKES the reeling German with another vicious cross on the nose. Ann-Kathrin slumps forward and tries to clinch the fellow blonde but only finds another uppercut blast that shatters her jaw AND LAYS HER FLAT OUT ON THE SAND moments later. Ugh! That about getting smoked!!! It was a brave effort but Ann-K simply cannot beat the count and falls into a resounding KO3 defeat!
AFTER: Sandra needed a bounce back result after losing the unofficial Polish derby to Emily Ratajkowski last month and vows to establish another winning run to close out the season. You don't want to bet against her right now but some pundits still question if she's ready to take over as a genuine A-list star going forward. Either way, she's open to more challenges so the female celebrity boxing fans should see her in action sooner rather than later. BLONDE! Magazine approves!
