Kennedy McMann vs Hannah Davis
(Results: Lookout. Words: Wiz)

BEFORE:

McMann trying to establish herself as a contender both at lightweight and welter taking on another girl who fights both weights, brunette beauty Davis. But, while McMann's been on a roll lately, Davis has lost her last six. But, none of that has affected the brunette's confidence. "I've lost to some good fighters...and I've beaten some, too. It's just a matter of me putting it together consistently, and I can fight with anyone at light or welter."

"She's better than her record, no doubt," Kennedy admits. "But. She's NOT better than ME."

ROUND ONE:

Davis gets right after McMann, showing a ton of early aggression. And, Kennedy is ready for it. The redhead gets the jab going, gets it in the brunette's face and keeps it there. She's working right hands off it, putting together combinations, preempting her rival, throwing her to the defensive again and again. Eventually, Hannah's forced to play Kennedy's game and box her at range. That does not go well. McMann's got the geometry she wants, and she uses it to take the fight to the brunette. backing her up consistently, piling up points and punishment. At the bell, there's no doubt about it. McMann's taken the points wide to lead 10-9.

ROUND TWO:

Hannah pressing the issue again, coming forward, determined to get physical with Kennedy. McMann wants the ranged boxing, but Davis is moving better now, angling, closing, backing up the redhead with solid flurries. All of a sudden, Hannah's getting the better of things, and in a big way. McMann forced to the back foot, and Davis is keeping her there with lots of effective fire. McMann has moments, mostly in the counter, but it's now the brunette who's fighting lead and getting much the better of things. Hannah getting stronger as the round goes on, until, in the final seconds, she has McMann pinned to the ropes. At the bell, it's Davis wide and we're even at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Hannah still pressing. Kennedy showing more lateral movement now. Redhead trying to enforce distance and geometry with the left. When she's able to, she's scoring well with both hands, putting punches together nicely. At other times, though, Davis is able to step to, get off lusty, force Kennedy back like she did in the previous round. Both fighters are getting the terms they want at times, but no one is able to enforce them consistently. Result is the first two-way round of the bout, with the issue in doubt until the final thirty seconds, when Davis backs up McMann twice with heavy flurries, doing enough to grab the points and the 29-28 lead.

ROUND FOUR:

Davis working forward behind the jab. McMann giving ground, moving laterally, wants space to box. Hannah not going to give her any. Davis determined to get physical here, take the fight to the younger woman. Kennedy countering in spots, but mostly being forced to the back foot by tons of effective aggression from Dav...BOOM! Right hand, KENNEDY and DOWN GOES DAVIS! Hannah sent crashing to her back by a NASTY straight right hand! McMann quickly to a neutral corner to watch and wait. Davis staring glassy-eyed up at the referee as the numbers grow larger. Rolls to her belly at six. Tries to push to hands and knees but the arms won't hold her! Hannah can't beat the count and it's OVER! And your winner by KO4 is Kennedy McMann!

AFTER:

McMann clearly pleased with her work in the post. "She's no joke in there," Kennedy says. "She can move and she can box and she can hit. But, it's like I said. I'm the better fighter. And, I proved it."
