MILLIE BOBBY BROWN VS LUCY HALE

Millie: 19 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 20-4-0, 20 KO since 2022, Lookout! Boxing

Lucy: 34 YO, 5’2 (1/57 m), 39-43-0. 37 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: Although 2023, has brought the red hot rookie Millie Bobby Brown down with 4 losses after an amazing 16-0 winning streak, she still has a 7-4 winning record in 2023. Tonight she faces veteran Lucy Hale who is 1-3 this year but remains a dangerous opponent to any Flyweight Division opponent.

“I am always looking for fresh opponents, ones I have not fought before. My management and I think it is important I see as many different opponents as I can. It helps me develop my skills. Lucy is just that sort of opponent. She’s on the small side, but I need to be able to handle them too.” Millie explained in the prefight.

S for Lucy Hale she said: “Millie has had a remarkable first two years. I had to to go 0-10 before I got my first win in the FCBA. It put me in a hole that I have been fighting to escape ever since. It has made me tough and determined. I do not like losing fights and I will fight as hard as I can clip the wings of this high flyer.”

In the ring, Millie Bobby Brown is in a white one piece swimsuit with bright blue boots and gloves (white laces). Her hair is in a ponytail. Lucy Hale is in a red one piece swimsuit with black books and gloves (red laces). Lucy’s hair in ponytail. The referee has no problem getting through the instructions. Lucy and MBB all business. Crisp tap of the gloves and they are in their corners. The bell rings…

R1: Lucy moves swiftly against Millie with a steady series of jabs to the head that have Millie ducking down behind her mitts. Then Lucy strike to the body with a series of hooks. Millie backing up under the bombardment, but then strikes back, smacking Lucy hard to the chin and then going after her to the body. Now it is Lucy giving ground as Mile advanced with her punches moving head to body and back again. Then the side turns as Lucy digs in and bangs hard to Millie’s jaw and chin. Millie now falling back again as Lucy is now working the younger brunette to the rib cage. Millie grimacing as the pain in her ribs grows with every fresh wave of Lucy’s punching. Millie trying put more space between herself and those tormenting Lucy Hale punches. Bell rings. Lucy emerges the winner in a close round.

R2: Millie fighting back in the new round. She bangs Lucy to the head with a barrage of right/left punches. Lucy trying to attack Millie to the ribs to force her back, but Millie now circling and keeping Lucy off balance. Lucy continues her attack on Millie to the body, but then Millie lands a head swiveling right to Lucy’s jaw. Lucy staggered, but has gloves up around her head now. Millie banging to the body, but then Lucy rallies and battles back. To are toe to toe pounding in the leather to the body as the bell sounds. Another close rund bt this time MBB wins it.

R3: Lucy and Millie moving together once more at center ring. Lucy seems about to attack to those ribs, but, instead startles Millie with a blasting right to the jaw and left to the chin. Millie now reeling back as Lucy hammers home the leather against Millie’s head until Millie can get her high guard in place. Lucy then goes back to her rib cage roasting attack on Millie’s midsection. Millie trying to circle away and throw up defensive jabs, but Lucy staying with her. Millie hounded around the ring to the bell. Lucy Hale wins this one wide.

R4: MMB comes at Lucy hard to the body with blows that keep Lucy from setting her feet for effective counters. Lucy goes to the jaw and again able to shake Millie up. Millie falling back as now Lucy pushes forward with her body punching. Special attention be paid to Millie’s ribs by Lucy. Then Millie goes after Lucy to the body. They battle it out in the trenches. Millie seems able to endure the pain in her ribs and make Lucy gasp from hooks into her belly. The body punching goes to the bell and the judges now swing to a narrow win in MBB’s favor.

R5: Out they come once again, Millie looks like she is going back to Lucy’s head as the action gets started. Lucy bobbing and weaving to try to evade a direct punch landing, Then Millie dros back and crouches as Millie swarms towards her. Lucy pops up and BOOM! Smites Millie mightily to the chin. Millie suddenly goes wobbly and Lucy goes after those ribs with fresh fury. Millie doubled up gets slowly pushed back into the ropes. Lucy firing away as Millie buries her face in her gloves Millie is shuddering and writhing, but her legs keep her upright to the bell. Lucy Hale wins this one wide,

R6: Lucy bounds out of her corner, She eagerly goes after Millie to the ribs once again. Millie clearly feeling the agony in her ribs, but she keeps punching back at the body of her smaller tormentor. Lucy seems focused on those ribs and Millie suddenly sidesteps on her. Lucy lurches forward and BOOM! Lucy CLOUTED hard to the jaw by Millie’s right hand. Lucy jerked sideways, stumbles AND FALLS ON HER FACE! LUCY HALE IS DOWN! Millie heads for the neutral corner. Referee stands over the fallen Lucy and counts—but Lucy is stirring. Then she pushes herself slowly upwards until she beaten the count at NINE!” Referee allows the fight to resume. Millie rushes in and quickly drives Lucy into the ropes. Lucy sliding along the strands trying to fight off the barrage of leather now slamming into her head, but it’s not working. Lucy’s arms suddenly droop to her sides AND THE REFEREE JUMPS IN! Lucy Hale cradled to safety as a weary looking Millie Bobby Brown leans against the ropes and raises both arms.

THE WINNER: MILLIE BOBBY BROWN TKO6!

After: “She did a number on my ribs all right,” Millie acknowledges in the post fight, “They are all taped up now and I’ll be feeling them for a while. But it wasn’t enough to beat me. Once I realized she was making herself open to some fancy footwork I gave it a try and it worked just great. Maybe this fight was a bit closer than I expected, but I won an that’s the important thing.”

Lucy Hale admits: “I did fall for Millie’s sneaky trick and I should have known better, I had tunnel vision on her ribs and I think if I had been a little more cautious, I could have broken her to the body. That didn’t happen and I lost. Now I just move on to the next fight and try to do that one better. “

Fight was a back and forth battle with plenty of action. Lucy seemed intent on braking down Millie to the body. She hurt Millie, but not enough to win and the tough MBB was able to hang in and get the TKO win. Future continues to look bright for Millie. Lucy’s fans can only share her attitude—look to her next fight and hope that one goes better for her.
