Before:
Lively looking to bounce back after losing her welterweight title to Kate Upton by fighting another Sports Illustrated model. Herrington looking to build momentum after defeating Hilary Rhoda and for revenge after losing to Lively last year.
“I know Blake is favored,” Danielle says. “But I am going to prove that I am a different fighter now than I was a year ago.”
“Herrington is lucky she is a welterweight” Blake claims. “She wouldn’t be relevant in the lightweight division.”
Herrington stares down Lively as the blonde exits the press conference and her thoughts turn to the fight.
Danielle the first girl out for the event and the raven haired model is wearing a tight fitting blue bikini set with matching gloves. Herrington paces around the ring while she waits for Lively. The blonde steps out in a white bikini set and matching gloves and the blonde struts to the ring with her focus on the younger girl. Blake goes chest to chest with the model and the ref steps in to pull the two girls apart. He tells the touch to touch gloves and they thunk their mitts together before the bell rings.
Round 1:
Herrington with a reach advantage and she knows it and shoots jabs at the smaller Lively. Blake surprised by the younger girl’s aggression and she takes a left into her jaw early. Danielle with a follow up left into her body and Blake is on her heels early. Lively retreats before planting her feet and landing a right back into her foe’s chest. Herrington stepping back and she finds her jab range again and forces Lively to cover up and try to close distance. Herrington keeping Lively where she wants to and the model pounds punches into the actress’s body. Lively forced to drop back and Herrington shoots out a headhunting right that catches the blonde. Lively forced to shoot out jabs to ward the bigger girl off to the bell and Herrington takes the first round on points.
Round 2:
Herrintgon looking to pick up where she left off and asserts her jab early but Lively is ready for her and the blonde blocks the jabs from the raven haired beauty and drives a short left into her foe’s ribs before connecting with a short right into her mouth. Blake working Danielle back from close range as the actress shows that she still has it at 36 years old. Blake teeing off on Danielle’s body as the model protects her head and she gives up space to the Fates girl before clinching. The round continues and Herrington is lighter on her feet and finds a right into Lively’s chest but the younger girl can’t take advantage and Lively presses her back into the ropes and connects with a right into her torso. The bell rings and both girls go back to their corners.
Round 3:
Lively picks up where she left off and the blonde is working the younger girl back to start the round. Blake connects with a left cross and the model is left reeling. Danielle clinching to force a break but not before Blake finds a pair of punches into her torso that draw a gasp out of the bigger girl before the referee steps in. The two girls are pulled apart and the fight continues. Lively with a left feint before she connects with a right into Herrington’s jaw. The model is reeling again and the actress charges forward and the younger girl connects with a right! Blake stunned in her tracks and she barely blocks the follow up from the model at her head. Danielle shifts to Blake’s body at the bell and the two girls go back to their corners.
Round 4:
Herrington working her reach to start the fourth and the model works the actress back. Lively works for the counterpunch but Herrington is always a step ahead of her and the younger girl scores a right into the older girl’s chin. Blake clinches before the bigger girl can follow up and the referee gives the break. Herrington chases after Lively out of the break and Blake gets her jab working and tags the bigger girl in her chest. Lively with a short right into Herrington’s chin and now the model gives up ground. Blake takes a step forward and gets rocked by a right from Danielle! Lively’s legs wobbly and the model pounds a left into Lively’s mouth and draws blood. Herrington not stopping as she muscles Lively back and drills a left into Lively’s midriff that doubles up the actress at the bell and Danielle is firmly in control of the fight.
Round 5:
Herrington stalks her prey and punishes Lively with punches to her torso and body and Lively’s face has a scowl plastered onto it with each strike from the model. Danielle with a right into Blake’s chest and knocks the blonde back into the ropes. Lively bounces back into the middle of the ring and connects with a right into Herrington’s ribs but the model slips by the actress and Blake’s lunged from her blow! Lively’s eyes light up too late as Danielle snaps Blake’s head back with a haymaker and she connects with a left follow up to knock Blake down! Danielle retreats to her corner as the ref starts to count. Blake shaking her head as she gets to all fours and pushes herself up. The ref waves Danielle back in and the model is ready for the win of her FCBA career. Herrington goes body but Lively still standing and the blonde digs a sharp right into the younger girl’s body. Danielle now winces and Blake plasters a right across her jaw and the model is spinning at the bell! Danielle gets the knockdown but Blake surges back to end the round.
Round 6:
Lively picking up where she left off and the blonde is shelling her opponent! Herrington covering up but Lively’s blows are thumping off of her body. The model plants her feet and trades back into Blake’s body. Lively not backing down and it turns into a slugfest! Sweat flies off of both girls’ bodies as they trade punches and they move to the center of the ring. Herrington’s punches starting to slow and the model starts grunting more as Lively finds punches through her gloves. Herrington with a half step back and she punches out with a right into Lively’s body. Lively takes the blow and connects with another hook to her foe’s jaw and Herrington is wobbly! Danielle’s arms drift out to keep herself upright and the blonde pounces with three straights into the model’s head and down goes Danielle! The ref starts to count and Danielle looks towards the ropes. The model gets her arms underneath her but no more. Your winner by KO6 Blake Lively!
After:
Lively rebounds from losing her title with a win and she continues her dominance as a welterweight. The blonde pays little attention to her defeated foe as she briefly poses for the crowd before heading to the press.
“It always is good to get back to winning” Lively tells the press. “It feels even better to beat a model and there is one model I want to step foot in the ring with more than anyone.” Blake pauses. “Emily Didonato - I want my revenge. You said you wanted to make this a best of seven so I will come at you and put you on the canvas.”
Danielle speaks to the press later. “Blake is a tough challenger but she runs her mouth and thinks about her internal stable issues too much. I’ll get her back. That is a promise.”
