HAYDEN PANETTIERE VS NATALIE PORTMAN

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Hayden: 34 YO, 5’1 ½ (1.55 m), 78-50-1, 61 KO since 2006, Foxfire Boxing

Natalie:42 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 99-59-2, 63 KO since 1999, Hawkeye International Sports Consortium

Before: The coming battle between two Hall of Famers has a couple of interesting angles. It offers Natalie Portman the chance to win her 100th victory. It offers Hayden Panettiere he chance to even up her life record against Portman (currently 2-1 in favor of Natty P.) It is also interesting to note that this the first bout between the two since Hayden scored her first win over Natalie on 6/12/13 (KO7).

“I have no idea why it took 10 years for Natalie to get interested in fighting me,” says Hayden. “I mean it’s not like Foxfire’s number is a a secret. Still, I appreciate being the one to make it 60 losses on her record. As for that 100th, She’ll just have to get it from someone else.”

Natalie Portman gives an elegant shrug: “It’s my potential 100th Win? I had not noticed. It’s been 10 years since I last fought Hayden? My, my, time does fly, and that win you got was just luck, Hayden. I will set things right with this fight.”

Hayden rolls her eyes: “One thing certainly hasn’t changed: your superior attitude. Well, I took it down back in’13 and I am ready to do again.”

“Love you too, Hayden, see you in the ring,” Natalie says with a final sniff,

“Oh, I’ll be there, don’t you worry about that,” Hayden says sourly and his cught by a hot mike muttering: “Same stuck up bytch!”

Natalie and Hayden meet again in the ring on Fight Night. Natalie is in a shiny black one piece swimsuit with matching gloves and boots (white laces). Her hair is pulled back in a battle braid. Hayden is in a purple bikini with matching gloves and boots. The ring instructions are chilly, but without incident as the fighters seem to be focus on the coming action. Curt tap of the gloves and they go their corners. A tense pause and then DING! It’s begun…!

R1: Hayden striking first with fast jabs into Natalie’s face and then whacking hard right to the jaw. Natalie falls back and tries to regroup, but Hayden on her with body shots. Hayden moving around Natalie driving her shots into Natalie’s side ribs, then swinging back to strike at Natalie’s rib cage. Natalie counterattacks about halfway through round. She finds Hayden’s chin with quick clipping uppercuts. Hayden back on her heels and Natalie now gets work Hayden to the head. Hayden swings back at Natalie to the head and the two exchange head shots coming down the stretch. Hayden lands a solid right uppercut that makes Natalie’s knees quake just as the bell rings. Natalie still on her feet, but looks a bit rubbery legged returning to her corner. Hayden has managed to ull out a close round.

R2: Hayden showing a lot of mobility s the new round begins. Natalie seems to be trying to ignore Hayden efforts to distract her, but then she gets drawn off balance by a quick Hayden move to one side. This allows Hayden to bring a head spinning right to Natalie’s jaw and she reels away in confusion. Now Hayden is upon Natalie trying to body punch into the ropes. Natalie fighting back with her jab and this manages to disrupt Hayden’s attack enough for Natalie to steer clear of the stands until the round ends. However Hayden has won the round wide.

R3: Natalie now much more aggressive. She crowds in on Hayden and attacks the blonde to the body. Hayden being pounded from breasts to belly and back again. Hayden hangng in, giving it right back to Natalie’s body. Two of them fight it out in the trenches, toe to toe and smiting bruised torsos over and over again. Natalie braces her feet and hacks Hayden to the belly with a good half dozen hooks in rapid succession. Hayden doubles up and falls back. She’s still fighting back as Natalie tries to close in. More intense action to the bell. Fiercely fought round and judges give it to Natalie Portman in a close margin.

R4: Natalie right back at it up close and hard punching. Hayden not backing off. Two are circling to some extent, but mostly this is a battle fought at point-blank range. As the steady beat of leather against sweaty flesh or soaked swimsuit is heard so do the sounds of gurgling gasps as the impacts take their toll on both battlers. Very even until Natalie now concentrates a multiple hook barrage against Hayden’s ribs. Hayden’s face twists in pain from these impacts and then Natalie adds more hooks to the belly. Hayden knocked back and she is gasping for air. Then the bell ends the round. It’s close again, but again it’s Natalie Portman getting the nod from the judges.

R5: Hayden worked on hard by the Foxfire corner crew and they are able to get her out in reasonably good order. Natalie comes charging in, clearly eager to resume her battering of Hayden’s body. However now Hayden is striking at Natalie from a distance, mainly to the head and keeping Natalie from closing in. Natalie has to pause and reconsider. Hayden swift to take advantage, She scoots forward and aims a shot at Natalie;;’ belly. Natalie’s mitts instinctively drop. Then KA-BOOM! Hayden sores with a leaping right to Natalie’s jaw and a equally big KA-BOOM left to the jaw. Natalie’s legs suddenly turn to rubber as she flounders back and then Hayden leaps in again with a SMASHING right/left uppercut combo to Natalie’s chin. AND NATALIE TOPPPLES BACKWARDS! Natalie on her side, leaning on her arms as she looks around glassy-eyed. Hayden smiles big as she hustles to the neutral corner. She looks back eagerly to see if she snatched the win from Natalie—BUT NO! Natalie has somehow pulled herself together and made it to her feet to break the count at “NINE!” Hayden looks frustrated and it doesn’t help that when the fight does resume, Natalie turns full-blown “turtle defense”—head buried in her gloves and body hunched up giving Hayden nothing to finish her off with. Bell ends the round. Hayden has to settle for a knockdown and winning the round wide. Natalie looks relieved she’s still in this as she sits down on her stool.

R6: Action resumes as Hayden now looks to finish Natalie off, but Natalie proves elusive in the early action. Hayden finds herself chasing Natalie around the ring, About midway through, Natalie suddenly stops being elusive and surprises Hayden by rushing forward with a fresh body attack. Hayden driven backwards by the force of Natalie’s relentless pounding, but then Hayden manages to get her own close game going again, Two are whacking away solidly. Then Natalie pulls a surprise sneaky right uppercut into Hayden’s chin. Hayden lurching back, struggling to pull herself defenses back together as Natalie works those ribs. Hayden stabilizes by the bell, but Natalie manages to steal the round by a narrow margin.

R7: Hayden looking look upset between rounds. She seems to think she let that last round slip away and she is not going to let it happen again. Hayden comes out and goes after Natalie at a distance. Natalie bobbing and weaving a lot now, not rushing in, but just trying to deflect or evade Hayden’s distance punching. Natalie defense is holding up and Hayden is obliged to close in. She is going for Natalie’s chin and jaw, but Natalie has timed Hayden’s lunge forward, Natalie lets the right whistle past her ear and then drive as straight right that crashes HARD between Hayden’s eyes. Hayden reels backwards, arms windmilling, and now Natalie goes for Hayden’s chin with one whacking uppie after another. HAYDEN”S PURPLE BOOTS SUDDENLY FLY OUT FROM UNDER HER AND SHE GOES THUDDING TO THE CANVAS! HAYDEN IS DOWN—HARD!

Natalie primly looks down at the blonde wreckage before her and then heads for the neutral corner. Issue is in doubt as the referee counts and Hayden pushes herself up into a sitting position. Then Hayden gets to all fours and the moves into a crouch. As the count rises, Hayden tries to stand BUT SHE TOPPLES BACKWARDS! Hayden is on her back, hands at her face as she tries to shut the vision of the referee standing over her:

“NINE!...TEN!....YOU….ARE...OUT!!!!”

THE WINNER OF HER 100TH FCBA CAREER VICTORY NATALIE ORTMAN OVER HAYDEN PANETTIERE KO7!

After: Natalie is swarmed by the HISC teammates who congratulate her on her historic win. Natalie smiling happily as her gloves ae unlaced and then she takes a bag from Natalie Alyn Lind and then crosses the ring to where Hayden has been revived on her stool.

“Put this on,”Natalie commands thrusting the bag at Hayden. Hayden removes what turns out to be a HISC tee shirt with the added logo: NATALIE PORTMAN BEAT ME! 100 WINS!

“Looks tacky to me,” Hayden grumbles but she pulls the shirt over her bikini.

“It’s of very high quality. I made sure of that, Now ets let my fans enjoy it,” Natalie said pulling Hayden to her feet.

Natalie guides Hayden around the ring, Pausing often to allow fans to snap photos of Natalie posing next to a glum Hayden. When they return to the Foxfire corner, Claire reclaims the tee shirt: “Before you decide to sell it on E-Bay,”

“I was thinking more of using it to clean the locker room,” Hayden growls.

“I thought as much. Now it will go into the Natalie Portman Trophy Collection. You can come and see it any time. There is a discount on tickets for fighters who have lost to me.”

“You are all heart Natalie,” Hayden says.

“That is a true,” Natalie said and then strolled back to the HISC corner, but she is heard to mutter “Now you have something you can REALLY call me a ‘bytch’ about!”

Great fight between two legendary veterans. It’s true Hayden seems to have been tailing off in recent years, but she fought Natali Portman hard. She ALOST got the knockout in the 5th, but as is all too often the close, it wasn’t enough. 2 rounds later Natalie Portman was able to get the KO and her 100th FCBA victory. A great achievement for this long-time FCBA veteran, but Natali should have to admit that Hayden made it an exciting fight and one that belongs in the Portman/HISC Historic Highlight reel.
