PEYTON ROI LIST VS NAOMI SCOTT

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Peyton: 25 YO, 5’6 (1.68 m), 18-12-0, 18 KO since 2016, Hawkeye International Sport Consortium

Naomi: 30 YO, 5’6 (1.62 m), 27-11-0, 27 KO since 2017. Foxfire Boxing

Before: Interesting match-up as HISC newcomer Peyton Roi List with a 3 fight winning streak faces former HISC and now Foxfire fighter Naomi Scott. Naomi has won 3 fights in a row under Foxfire management,

“Of course I want to make the cracker crunchers at HISC regret trading me away,” Naomi says frankly, “but I am also determined to get into position for a shot at the bantamweight title. Beating a hot newcomer like Peyton will help me in that objective. She’ good, obviously, but I am better,”

Says Peyton: “All Naomi to me is an empty locker. If management traded her away, I am sure they had a good reason and get along just fine with her replacement Natalie Lind. So this about me rising in the Bantam Division. Some think I should stay in the Flyweights, but I think I could eventually get a shot at the Bantam Title. I really like the idea of being a ‘double threat’. But first I got to prove I can beat the good bantams like Naomi. So I will be the one proving she’s the better boxer.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting to find out which fight comes away with the win. On Fight Night Peyton Roi List in pink bikini with black boots and gloves (pink laces) her hair is in a ponytail. Naomi Scott is in a white one piece swimsuit with tiny silver stars. She wears silver boots and gloves with white lacings. Naomi’s hair is loose but wetted down.. The ring instructions go quickly and there is a fast glove tap. Then they go to their corners and the bell rings…

R1: Naomi moving quickly to start driving her gloved fists into Peyton. Naomi is moving well, trying to strike at PRL from unexpected angles. Peyton getting worked hard as she tries to deal with tricky Naomi. Peyton getting in some good hooks to the body but then gets sacked around by solid right/left chins shots from Naomi. Naomi seems to be trying to add to Peyton’s discomfort with sudden jabs to her face, lumping it up and forcing PRL to keep her mitts high. Naomi thumps away at Peyton’s cage and stomach until round ends. Naomi Scott wins the round wide.

R2: Peyton showing much more footwork this round as if in answer to Naomi’s in the first round. It works well for her, allowing her drive hard shots into Naomi’s jaw and the side of her head. Naomi falls back with Peyton in close pursuit driving her hooks into Naomi’s vulnerable midsection. Naomi hunched up, gloves defensively held to cover her head and being steadiuy pushed backl by PRL. Naomi able to get in some jabs to Peyton;s face but she seems to brush these off, though lumps are growing. Still, Peyton looks in control this round and comes away with a wide and easy win.

R3: Naomi and Peyton trade a variety of punches head and body in the early going. Then Naomi stuns Peyton with a burst of right and left punches to the face. She then clips Peyton on the chin and a right/left/right/left to the jaw. Peyton covers up and tries to circle away, but Naomi keeping with her with swabbing punches to the side ribs. Peyton trying to respond, but for every counter she seems to get two back from Naomi. Peyton is able thwart Naomi’s efforts get her on the ropes, but it is not enough to keep Naomi from winning the round wide.

R4: Peyton is now out very fast from her corner at the bell and brings a cracking right hand into Naomi’s chin. Naomi shudders to a halt as now Peyton fires a leather storm into Naomi’s face leaving swollen and bleeding damage including a bloody nose that drips crimson down Naomi’s chin and drips onto her white swimsuit. Nomi hastily trying to jab PRL back, but Peyton now going after Naomi’s abs with whacking blows that quickly have Naomi doubled forward. Peyton now is firing uppercuts into Naomi’s overhanging upper body until Naomi is finally able extract herself. Peyton in pursuit, striking at Naomi’s side in another vengeful burst of punching. Bounce back round for PRL as she wins it wide.

R5: Foxfire corner team kept busy between rounds clean up Naomi Scott. Naomi looks a bit slow coming off her stool and defensive as Peyton bears down on her. Peyton sets to work attacking Naomi to the body, especially her ribs and Naomi obliged to start jabbing to try to force PRL back. Peyton keeps up her tormenting rib roastings until Naomi lashes out with big rights and left to the head. Peyton ducking and weaving, manages to dodge a good many of these blows, but then she sees an opening and darts in. As she comes in, Peyton BLASTS Naomi to the point of the chin with her right and then lifts the chin with a left uppercut. DOWN GOES NAOMI! Naomi’s knees suddenly give out and she pitches forward onto her face. Naomi looks up blank-eyed as Peyton makes her way to the neutral corner and the referee moves in. Naomi shaking her head and trying regain control of her body. She then forces herself upwards and manages to beat the count at “EIGHT!” The referee soon allows the fight to go on. Naomi’s head seems to have cleared and she doesn’t wait for Peyton to come to her. Peyton happy to have a chance to finish off Naomi, but gets an unpleasant surprise when Naomi smacks her hard in the mouth splitting her lower lip. Stung, PRL is knocked back on her heels, but quickly swings for Naomi’s head, but Naomi blocks the blow. Peyton then goes to the body and Naomi starts to answer, but the bell sounds. Knockdown assures Peyton that she ha won the round wide, but Naomi Scott looks far from finished.

R6: Peyton and Naomi are both quick out of their corners. They head for the center of the ring and plunge towards each other swinging. Crowd cheering on as Peyton starts to use head and body shots to push Nomi back, but then Naomi rallies and uses hooks to the belly to stagger Peyton. Then Naomi smashes home three right/left combos to the jaw and Peyton starts to sag backwards, Naomi then lets Peyton have it with a rising right uppercut from down around her ankles. The blow HURLS Peyton backwards and she SKIDS TO A HALT SPRAWLED ON HER BACK! Naomi hastens to the neutral corner. Peyton is trying to sit up and succeeds. As her fans cheer her on, Peyton then gets into crouch and from there rises to break the count at “NINE!” Peyton not looking good and referee hesistates.

“DON’T YOU DARE STOP THIS FIGHT! A suddenly energized PRL is heard to cry out.

Referee lets Peyton have her way and waves Naomi. Peyton apparently out to show Naomi that it will be no “Turtle Defense” for her. Like Naomi in the previous round, Peyton tries to counterattack, but very quickly this goes bad for her. Naomi brushes side Peyton’s attempts to strike at her head and goes for PRL’s abs. Peyton is sent all doubled up against the ropes. She struggles to brace herself and sit defensively on the ropes, but Naomi is able to bash Peyton’s head from the right and left. Peyton’s head is swiveling alarmingly as Peyton slides futilely along the ropes. THE REFEREE STEPS IN! Official has seen enough and cradles Peyton to safety. Naomi watches wearily with hands on her hips and then raises both arms in victory!

THE WINNER: NAOMI SCOTT EFEATS PEYTON ROI LIST TKO6!

After: “I trust this proves who the better boxer is,” Naomi says with a strong note of satisfaction in her voice as she watches the bruised and bloody Peyton treated on her stool. “Now I am ready to going to the next step. No, I don’t have an opponent in mind just yet, WE’ll have to see how things after the PPV.”

As for Peyton, understandably, she is not too eager to discuss the fight , but the next day she does say: “I don’t like to lose and I especially don’t like to lose someone as arrogant as Naomi Scott. This has only begun for us. I’ll regroup and one of these days I get management to let have another go at Naomi. I came close to beating her this time. Next time I will do it!”

Peyton Roi List had a point about this being the start of a potential rivalry with Naomi Scott. It could well happen and she did come to victory. However, once again, Naomi proves “almost winning: is not the same as actually winning. It was Naomi who came off the canvas and, one round later, beat PRL into a stoppage. This was solid win for Naomi and it should definitely gve her a boost in the division standings. As for Peyton Roi List, while this was a setback, there is no reason she should not be able to rebound very shortly. In the meantime, bantamweight fans can savor the memory of this very good fight.
