BEFORE: Polish model Sandra Kubicka wants to stay in shape against an above average opponent and Anna Tatangelo very much fits the demand even if the Italian singer has lost three of her last four fights. The IBB turbulence appears to be over though and Anna is ready to mount another winning streak regardless of what the experts say of her chances to upset the highly-rated model tonight.
Sandra Kubicka wears a black bikini set & red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. Anna Tatangelo wears a black crop top, jeans shorts & navy blue gloves. Long black hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Anna makes a quick start and lays the early heat straight into the model's face even though she's unable to make the most of the initial charge. Sandra takes multiple hits around her face but refuses to back off and hangs in a high-octane exchange that drags onto the second minute much to the crowd's delight. Both women give each other no quarter and suffer early battle damage as Anna slices a small gash across the blonde's nasal ridge which fuels more slugging action down the stretch. Sandra's high-guard looks more than suspicious here and the lanky model is pounded back to the ropes where she has to clinch the brunette outright in order to limit her losses.
Round 2:
Sandra fires back to connect with several promising head shots while Anna keeps coming forward looking to add to the opening round success. This results in both women going down the slugging path and dropping heavy strikes on target to please the audience. Anna looks comfortable with this high-octane blast despite limited action this season and she makes Kubicka work hard for the spoils before a looping hook catches the singer on the ear and slumps her on the heels. Tatangelo gets stuck for a moment and Kubicka duly drills her with several vicious hooks capped off by a belter shot to the body that wobbles the Italian woman into genuine spasms. Another hooking rally flushes her out into a hectic retreat along the ropes and gives Sandra the round on points.
Round 3:
Anna storms back to land some body shots as she tries to catch the younger woman off guard and the early push grinds Sandra into a halt while the brunette picks her off in the phone booth until a booming cross on the nose finally allows the blonde to find her range. Both women trade more quick punches in the center of the ring to raise more noise around the arena before Tatangelo loops a one-two series on each temple that makes Kubicka gurgle in sudden discomfort. Another head-hunting blast opens a second gash on the nasal ridge and the Polish model has to buckle up for an-all out slugging blast with Anna raining punches like skittles hoping to inflict more cuts on the blonde's face. Ugh! She fails to accomplish that goal but still drives Sandra butt-in-ropes and leaves her gasping for air at the bell.
Round 4:
Another slugging push from the Italian woman who thinks she can truly slam dunk the younger foe into complete oblivion but Sandra channels her contender status and avoids disaster while working the counter-punching drill until she nails the brunette on the nose often enough to spill some blood and pause the Tatangelo charge. Ugh! Anna seems surprised she got tagged like that and stays in the slugging zone but then opens up to take a wild hook on the jaw and stumbles forward to meet a crushing double on the chin. Uh-oh!!! She weaves to the side unable to control the range anymore and raises her gloves a split second too late... Sandra SMOKES her with a right hook on the nose and that was a brutal punch that SENDS THE ITALIAN WOMAN crashing onto the canvas with a loud thump! Woof. That's one of these lights out bombs and poor Anna cannot recover from it whatsoever! KO4 Sandra Kubicka!!!
AFTER: The IBB entourage might feel this one really got away since Anna build a solid lead and cut Sandra up in the process so she didn't have to chase the scorecards in risky fashion. However she stayed true to her Mediterranean spirit and wanted to blow the model right up only to get whacked by a supreme combo. Sometimes street fighting in the ring isn't the best available option after all.
