BEFORE:
We’ve got a banger of a contest in this next fight, as Dollhouse leggy blonde Ginny Gardner goes up against the curvy and new-to-the-FCBA-world Madelyn Cline! Cline’s climb to fame, of course, were her recent appearances in those Glass Onion movies, striking a strong resemblance to other fitness models like Alexis Ren and Sommer Ray.

Tonight, she looks to establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in the ring itself, and what better way to make her mark by going up against an established fighter like Gardner? Ladies are both testy and short-tempered during the pre-fight press conference, giving each other the stink-eye after making their entrances, but then not saying a word to each other until they’re each seated at opposite corners of the press hall.

“Madelyn’s got a lot to learn still…” Ginny says first, her long blonde curls framing her face and forehead like a halo. “I’ve had my ups and downs in there, my bumps and bruises. But that’s just it - Madelyn has none of those to speak of. She’s been in 3 fights….lost only once. You have to experience what it’s like to lose and find yourself down and make it back up before you can really be taken seriously…she’s gonna find out the hard way how difficult it is to survive in this league tonight.”

Madelyn, of course, appears unfazed, slouching slightly in her chair and sporting a wide smirk of her own. The blonde leans forward when it’s finally her turn to speak, and replies straight into the mic. “I heard you’re the easy Doll to beat. I don’t like to do anything easy, mind you, but my team insisted I get another easy win under my belt first,” Cline says, her smile growing. “Maybe after I knock out little blondie here, I’ll come for the rest of her stable…”

It’s even more tense later in the room when these two face off on stage, both Ginny and Madelyn having stripped down to their undies and posing first for the cameras. Ginny a good two inches on her blonde opponent, though Cline’s toned and thicker frame will give her the firepower needed to score those knockouts if she manages to get in close. Just ask Bailee Madison and Olivia Dunne, who recently suffered the same defeats at the blonde’s hand. And just the same, as Miss Gardner hasn’t had the opportunity for much competition this year alone, having faced an uphill battle against Megan Fox at the beginning, and then scoring an impressive victory against Lottie Moss just weeks ago in October. Will her schedule be enough to put away the newcomer, though?

Fight night rolls around and Ginny looks as sweet as pie in her corner of the ring, that baby blue sports bra and long gray tights extending her already slender and lean figure. In the other corner, we have Miss Cline, sporting a golden bikini top despite the chilly weather and a pair of flashy black sports shorts with a golden trim around her waistband. Both ladies listen to the referee’s instructions but have their eyes on each other. Finally, they give him a nod of understanding to start the match!

There’s the opening bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Ginny fighting smart, always a smart cookie compared to some of her more reckless teammates. She swerves in at the bell with grace and poise, those hands up and ready to exact punishment. It’s clear she’s spent the past few months training hard and fast in the gym, and fighting a less punishing schedule might mean more time to prepare herself for these bigger, more high-stakes fights. Then again, the pressure might be higher, especially if she doesn’t make the most of these moments. Early shots landing off the head have Cline in defensive mode, Ginny’s punches shooting out with purpose and on a periodic timetable, each strike landing precise to the blonde’s head and face, once or twice cracking into the cheek to push the bigger, stockier Cline backwards on the backfoot. Madelyn is doing her best to swerve inwards herself, get up close and personal in order to blast away at Gardner’s flanks. But it doesn’t work for now, with Gardner simply sidestepping or backing away at the earliest hint of trouble. At the end, it’s a wide round for the Dollhouse blonde, and this race is off to a most promising start!

ROUND 2:
Cline is still bullheaded and rushing in with her head down, though, her arms up, to start flinging ammunition Gardner’s way even before she’s in range. Intimidation is the name of the game for the Bombshell fighter, and Gardner can’t keep running forever. One or two swings to the Doll’s head and body make their mark in the first minute, and Ginny barely intercepts them in time with her forearms. And even when she does, she’s thrown off to the side most awkwardly like a twig caught in a gust of wind, with Cline’s corner letting out shouts of encouragement to break the lanky blonde in half if their girl keeps up the pace and aggression. Ginny for the most part relies on her jab-to-the-head strategy to keep her own pace, but those strikes off Cline’s temple and cheek don’t seem to be affecting the her much, and the stockier blonde is perfectly fine to take a couple of punches to the face if it means lunging inwards to pack leather into the Doll’s torso. Bell rings and Ginny is the one letting out a tortured grunt seconds before, after Cline traded a hook to her own chin for a powerful swing to the Doll’s body, leaving Gardner lurching and gasping for air before stumbling back to her corner, nodding to her team that she’s alright. Cline with the comeback wide round, throwing the rest of this fight wide open!

ROUND 3:
Gardner picks up the pace, but so does Cline, one girl reacting to the other’s movements and each still trying to score off the head or body. Gardner’s twitching and reactive, staying nimble on her toes as she jabs from afar at the bulldozer that is Mady Cline. Cline looks invigorated, by extension, especially at the sight of her opponent turning tail and keeping away from her power shots. She knows Ginny can’t stay and brawl for too long, and so it becomes her mission to trap her foe against a corner to cut off any and all escape. Gardner stays alert, however, targeted strikes landing on the cheek and chin, and even down south to Madelyn’s chest and body, but the one thing Miss Gardner has always lacked is power behind each punch. Cline wincing as the punches land, but still roaring forwards, swinging wild and high and hoping for ONE of those punches to score lucky and end the fight right there and then. But Gardner’s easily slipping to her sides and back, her head and torso moving in a dangerous dance in the center of the ring, in between sending shocks to Cline’s system as she ends the round with another punishing jab-jab-combo to snap the blonde’s head back. It’s a close round overall, and Gardner can be proud of her defensive training she’s invested so much of her efforts in over the last few months. Meanwhile, Cline needs a different winning strategy if she wants to come out on top.

ROUND 4:
Mady’s nostrils flaring in the wind as she marches out of the corner when the bell rings. It looks like she’s had enough of this other blonde running away from her in perpetuity! It’s Ginny’s turn to look smug from the other end of the ring, her arms up and firm over her chest and chin, knowing she’s got the goods to evade her opponent’s punches. At least for now. Cline starts to become methodical, though, slowly cutting off the ring so Gardner’s herded into the corner and her back against the ropes. Ginny’s fighting it, of course, using her punches to hound and harass the head, but Cline’s got a better feel on her foe’s attacks and is more easily blocking them with a raised guard. Then, suddenly, Madelyn decides to strike, throwing a feint to the Doll’s body left whilst keeping her right hand cocked and ready to serve a bigger number - KAPOW!! Ginny fell for it, having lowered her arm to block the punch that never came, only to take a big haymaker to the jawline that sends her reeling! OUCH!! The Dollhouse blonde has those lanky legs for speed but now they’re the ones tripping her up, her ankles twisting over each other as she tries to get away and maintain her balance. Madelyn chases her into the ropes, sinking more blows into her face and body on the way down, but they’re not at all needed! AND DOWN THE DOLL GOES, collapsing by her side by the ropes in a beautiful KNOCKDOWN from Madelyn Cline! Could it be an early KO4 for the newcomer?!

Gardner’s down but not out, however, her eyelids blinking rapidly as she pushes herself up, gripping onto the nearby ropes to assist her ascent. She looks a little dazed but is otherwise alright, later nodding to the referee to continue the fight, whilst her lips are parted and sucking in huge swaths of air. Across the ring, in the neutral corner, Miss Cline looks like a ray of sunshine, smiling radiantly with both arms draped over opposite sides of the corner turnbuckle. She’s made her statement tonight, that one single swing capable of knocking down lesser girls. What happens then if she manages to score a second!?

The round resumes with a minute left on the clock, and HERE CLINE COMES! She wants that spectacular finish for her resume, and rushes straight towards Miss Gardner, determined to finish the job! Gardner, however, gets out of the f*cking way just in time, her legs working on instinct and overdrive. The Dollhouse blonde swerves and ducks and weaves, and doesn’t have to keep it up for too long, as Madelyn soon shows signs of fatigue of her own, her punches growing more lumberous and inaccurate. Round ends with a whimper despite that louder bang in the second minute: both girls heaving and circling, exchanging light jabs that are more to keep the other on notice rather than to hurt. It’s still a BIG round for Madelyn Cline, but we’re worried she’s bitten off more than she can chew going into the rest of this fight!

ROUND 5:
Ginny’s corner still can’t help but worry for their girl’s prospects, offering support, advice, and encouragement in between rounds. Gardner’s one of those girls who deserves more wins under her belt, for sure, and unfortunately, has found herself struggling to rise to the same echelons as some of her contemporaries. She skirts in at the bell and initiates the first exchange, a left-right combo slamming into Cline’s arms to put her on notice, as though that previous knockdown didn’t even happen. Cline looks slightly taken aback at having to suddenly defend herself, swinging back at her head on instinct but still having trouble taking the lanky blonde down with those bigger but slower punches, with Gardner on form and swerving out of the way to avoid. Slowly, the Doll is beating the other blonde back, targeted shots sent across the jawline or snapped into the base of her chin, which continuously sap Cline’s remaining strength and resolve. With a grunt, Madelyn gets her head pushed back when a step-in right cross catches her hard on her nostrils, then another follow-up blast to the jawline SEALS THE DEAL, the big girl sent stumbling into the ropes with a loud groan, tethering on the edge of her balance! Then, she LOSES IT! AND DOWN CLINE GOES, felled by the culmination of shots across her bow, as she collapses to all fours! It looks like a return KNOCKDOWN for Ginny Gardner, who can’t believe her own turn of luck!

The referee starts the count and Mady Cline is still wringing her head on the ground, a red mouthguard half-poked between her lips as she tries to recover the strength in her limbs. In the other corner, Ginny remains humble, breathing hard to recapture her breath and generally making the most of the little time she has left. She knows that her opponent has every right to bounce right back up and resume the round, and she needs to be fully prepared for that eventuality.

Speak of the devil, as Cline slowly ascends to her feet, looking shaky both in her legs but also the rest of her head and body, and she has to convince the referee multiple times that she’s ready to resume the fight. The ref finally accedes when Cline raises her gloves and nods vigorously. But there’s still two minutes left on the clock! And plenty of time for Gardner to seal her lead here… Bell re-rings to resume and Gardner strides forward with measure and poise, unlike her blonde foe who tried to finish her off prior!

Cline still heaving but filled with plenty of fight still, actually lunging at Gardner as she comes in with a flurry. Shots fired both ways and both girls brawl near the ropes, with Gardner shooting her shot and sinking multiple punches into the other blonde’s body and face, trying her best to score points with her opponent sagging against the ropes, quite literally. Cline fires off hooks but they’re wild and unpredictable, and more importantly, slow and sluggish, meaning all Gardner needs to do is hang back at a safe distance to let those fists slip past without much danger, before shoving another combo of leather straight into her opponent’s face. Cline isn’t looking too hot right now, grunting after taking another brutal left-right combo to her nose and lips, parts of her face now turned a bright shade of pink. The referee’s hovering close by, looking for signs of quit, and a screaming hook from the side that JOLTS her head to the side seems to be the final nail in the coffin, with the rest of Cline spinning down the ropes, both her hands and head left draped over the top, her mouth hanging open in shock! THAT SEEMS TO BE IT! Before Ginny can rush in to pummel her more, the referee steps in and covers her up! It’s OVER via TKO!

AFTER:
And there’s the much vaulted celebration! Gardner finally allows herself to hang loose, throwing both hands in the air and running to her corner with a big smile on her face! She looks ecstatic indeed as she hugs her team and stablemates, having scored another big win of her career.

Meanwhile, Cline is left to pick up her broken pieces, her impressive winning streak being shattered with this loss. She may have made her debut all those months ago with a debuting defeat to a former champion, but any loss in a newcomer’s resume is surely going to sting all the same.

Both girls totally ignore each other in the post-match, even after Ginny’s hand is raised by the ring official. Cline simply turns and retreats back to her corner, shaking her head, eager to get back to the locker room and put this defeat behind her.

“The ref stopped the fight too soon,” Madelyn later complains to reporters backstage, with a shake of the head and scowl. “Give me a couple more rounds with her and I would have knocked her head off.”

“She’s just bitter she lost,” Ginny responds from her own backstage area, still beaming and celebrating with her team. “She gave it her all, but my experience proved to be the deciding factor. A word of advice from someone who’s been in the trenches before: don’t give up, babe. I’m sure we’ll meet again in the future.”
