MEGHAN MARKLE VS SASHA PIETERSE

Result: Lookout Writing: Archer

Meghan: 42 YO, 5’7 (1.71 m), 19-14-0. 18KO since 2013, The Punching Queens

Sasha: 27 YO, 5’6 (1.67 m), 20-20-0, 20 KO since 2014, Pretty Little Punchers Inc.

Before: “I admit it will be interesting to fight an actual duchess,” says a chatty Sasha Pieterse in the prefight gathering with the press. “but she was, maybe still is, an actress and I know all about fighting them. I just am happy to get the action. I could use a win this year and this may be my last chance.”

Meghan gives Sasha a cool look: “I will admit I have not been as active as I would have preferred. Fortunately, this fight came along with the chance to make up for my unfortunate encounter with Kim Kardashian back in January.”

“Not if I can get help it,” Sasha says with overly sweet smile.

“I wouldn’t count it,” Meghan says dismissively and departs the stage leaving an annoyed looking Sasha Pieterse alone. Sasha leaves muttering darkly under her breath

Come Fight Night, Meghan Markle enters ring and removes her blue robe to reveal a bright red one piece swimsuit with blue gloves and boots (white laces). Her hair is in a ponytail. Sasha is wearing black one piece swimsuit with white gloves and boots (black laces). Sasha’s hair in a battle braid. The two eye each other coldly, but the ring instructions go quickly and then comes a quick gloves tap. They go to their corners. DING! It’s on!

R1: Meghan and Sasha move towards the middle of the ring. Meghan boldly attacks with head snapping strikes to Sasha’s chin. Sasha stutter stepping backwards trying to fight back with her jab. MM moves smoothly to her left, fires in straight blows to the side of Sasha’s head and then she goes to her right for shots at the opposite side of Sasha’s head. Sasha is now protecting her head and trying to dodge away from the aggressive royal. Meghan then shifts to a burst of deep body shots the jackknife Sasha forward Meghan then begins herding Sasha towards the ropes, but Sasha scrambles away. Meghan goes after Sasha who makes it back to the center of the ring just as time run out. Meghan Markle wins opening round wide.

R2: Sasha Pieterse trying to get into the fight by moving in quickly at the start of the new round. Smacks Meghan start to the jaw and chin. Meghan fights back with a big right cross/left hook combo that makes Sasha’s knees buckle and she lurches back. Meghan unleashes a fresh barrage of body hooks, but this time Sasha answers with a solid right uppercut to the chin. Meghan is now the one lurching back and Sasha is now firing in the body shots. Meghan is hunched up, but then counterattacks. There is fierce battle to the body as they head down the stretch. Meghan forcing a stubborn Sasha back as the bell rings. This round is much closer on the cards, but the judges give it to Meghan Markle by a narrow margin.

R3: Sasha again the aggressive one as the new round begins. She moves on Meghan Markle and bodies up close with pounding shot right and left hooks into Meghan’s midsection. Meghan fighting back with short right and lefts of her own to Sasha’s bodies. Breasts, ribs and abs are taking a lot of punishment as the two are going at it toe to toe. The sweat is pouring down their straining bodies. It is very even as the minutes tick by, but then Sasha seems to find the right spot against Meghan’s rib cage. Over and over Sasha slams home the leather and Meghan is shuddering with each new impact. Meghan falling back and now Sasha goes deep to the belly and she’s got Meghan gasping for air. The bell rings and Meghan is slow making her way back to her corner. Sasha finally wins a round having edged Megha out on the cards.

R4: Meghan Markle on the attack as this round begins. She is going or Sasha Pieterse’s head and scores early with bouncing blows to Sasha’s head. Then, Sasha is able to duck under these blows and comes up with jolting blows to Meghan’s jaw and chin. Meghan’s attack begins to falter and now Sasha returns to Meghan’s ribs with fresh leather. Meghan trying to get away as she is shivering from the white-hot pain in her ribs. Sasha now punches Meghan in the ribs and pins her there while working those ribs over and over. MEGHAN’S LEGS BUCKLE AND SHE SAGS FORWARD OFF THE ROPES. Sasha coolly steps back as Meghan noses into the canvas. MEGHN MARKLE IS DOWN! Sasha hurries to the neutral corner and then watches. Meghan struggling to push herself up as the referee counts, but she can’t seem to get her body to cooperate.

“EIGHT!...NINE!....TEN!...YOU”RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: SASHA PIETERSE KO4!

After: “It took me a couple of rounds to figure her out,” says Sasha Pieterse later to the press. “I realized I was hurting her to the ribs. I basically just broke her down mostly with those rib roasters. It was pretty intense, especially in R3, but I finally got down and out in the 4th.”

Meghan, her ribs all taped up, says: “”I give her credit for finding a weak point and exploiting it, but I will learn from this and move forward. This was a setback nothing more.”

Intense battle with plenty of punching, but it was Sasha Pieterse who came away with the win over the much bigger name Meghan Markle. The win is bound to look good on Sasha’s record and could get her some interesting fights in the year ahead. As for Meghan Markle, this loss was a disappointment, but she might want to consider exploring the Cougar Division in 2024.
