BEFORE:
For this next fight, we have an interesting contrast between fighters, with Miss Katherine Winnick recently turning 46 yet showing NO signs of slowing down, and the Italians Boxing Better starlet Elettra Lamborghini, despite being almost 20 years younger, having the worse win-loss record on paper.

“I’ll pound her out,” Elettra confidently declares at the pre-fight press conference, looking keen for once to end the year on a high note. She recently lost to Minka Kelly and the younger Amanda Trivizas, so she’s definitely running out of excuses. “I won’t let some washed up karate chick beat me , that’s for sure.” she continues, puffing out her chest and creasing a smirk across her lips. “Winnick should be fighting in the grandma’s league, and she’ll definitely be crippled once I’m done with her old ass.”

Stronger words from the Italian model and actress, but even stronger determination flashing in Winnick’s eyes as she responds from across the room:

"I think I've had a good boxing year all things considered...and I'm hoping to end it on a high note tonight so I can celebrate new years properly. My previous loss to McCarthy was a huge disappointment...and we can't have that again...I want a rematch Jenny! Let's settle that score! As for Elettra, she's bigger and seems pretty tough, but ever since her rookie year she's been pretty up and down in her results and she's coming off two losses of her own...not that impressive for someone with this big a mouth on her if you ask me.” Kat smirks. “Hopefully it's down again for her tonight. I'm here to kick your ass Miss Lambo, and my age won’t be a factor, trust me." Winnick says with a confident nod.

The Dollhouse veteran was slated by the pundits to win the Cougar Title this year, only to be thwarted by recently retired Kate Beckinsale, and then again, by her current nemesis, McCarthy. Still, if Winnick’s knockout power is anything to go by, she’s still punching and swinging like a girl twenty years younger, with the stamina and agility to boot.

Elettra’s bigger sturdier frame looks like it could give her the advantage in tonight’s showdown, though her tendency to rely on her power punches might be at odds with Kat’s more defensive and methodical style and we’ll have to see which approach comes out on top tonight. They face off at the podium without incident, and then head backstage for their final prep.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena and the ring lights are shining over this sold out crowd! Katheryn and Elettra earlier entered and strode down the ramp looking excited to meet their fans, both smiling and waving excitedly. These two, regardless of outcome tonight, are totally underrated performers, and always put on a big show of heart and thrilling action.

In the ring, Kat is dressed in her usual gear of white sports bra and short tights with black accents, matching white and black gloves, her blonde hair in a high bun. She breaks into a smile when her name is announced, raising both arms and waving to the fans. Opposite from her is Miss Lamborghini, her muscular bulky frame wrapped in a black blue bikini, both arms swinging black gloves to and fro. Both fighters settle into their fighting positions, and with a wave of the referee’s hand, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!!

ROUND 1:
Kat energetic to start, walking in fast and aiming to finish the fight early before the youngster can outpace her. She kicks things off with a couple of jabs sent at Elettra’s head, testing the waters and the Italian’s ability to handle pressure. Elettra has the same idea, at least in the first minute, storming in and taking several shots to her face but opting for a BIG haymaker that NARROWLY misses Kat’s face! WHOA! Winnick’s face flashes surprise but she stays calm, blocking more wild hooks with a locked guard before swerving her head from side to side, and backing away. Winnick kinda expected a surprise move like that, but didn’t expect it to come so early. She falls back into a defensive pattern, continuing to pester and pound at Elettra’s guard with solid combinations. Elettra thought the older fighter would be less agile… well, she couldn’t be more off, her face getting stunned with solid shots before taking more thumps to her body. Lamborghini growls and still CHARGES in the final seconds, shrugging off the stinging pain and reaaaalllly testing Kat’s resolve and patience. Both blonde and brunette end up tangled in close quarters near the ropes after Elettra pounded a few hooks off the Doll’s tummy to end the round closer than expected. Good, solid first opening for Miss Winnick, and let’s hope she can keep pace with the younger fighter.

ROUND 2:
Lamborghini storms in again, head down and fists up at first, before swiftly pulling back and letting those big overhands RIPPP through the air to crash into the center of the Canadian fighter’s arms. Winnick not having faced many opponents bigger than herself, and finds her balance being tested by Elettra’s sheer power, each hook bashed into her arms making her stagger awkwardly to the side or take several steps backwards. This just gives Elettra more assurance to barrel forwards, continuing to batter that guard, her fists seeking the elusive chin and jawline, but helping themselves to swipes at the toned tummy below. Winnick not idle, of course, slamming her own hooks back whenever she can, hoping to rattle the Italian fighter. But Elettra simply shrugs them off and ROCKS the Doll back silly with a tight hook sent across her cheek, another drubbing shot landing on her jawline to stagger her again! OUCH! Winnick covers and runs, looking slightly shaken, and manages to stave off disaster by getting quickly out of range and continuing to jab at the IBB girl’s face. Good round and comeback from Lamborghini, signaling a long and grueling contest ahead!

ROUND 3:
And it’s Kat’s turn to pick up the pace! She keeps her distance in the first minute, stunning the bigger brunette whenever she tries to get in close! Lefts and rights slam into her nose and lips, snapping her head back and forcing the rest of her body to halt its own momentum. Elettra’s still trying to get in close and impose herself, but all those stinging jabs to her face are starting to add up, and she’s forced more and more to try and defend herself against Winnick's accurate attacks. Winnick looking confident from across the ring, head down and shoulders slightly hunched over, ready to land a counterstroke at the first stroke of the Italian’s fists. This forces Lamborghini to also hunker down and be more precise in her shots, and the two women trade leather to the face down the line, in a tit-for-tat exchange of overhands that crumple the cheek or jolt the torso with a barrage of low hooks. Elettra’s got power behind her swings, but she’s slowly losing her luster with each lost flurry, Kat using agility to avoid another big uppercut sent for her chin, before catching the Italian girl firmly on the jawline with a staggering right hook. Off goes Elettra, her mouth hanging open and the rest of her body trying to correct itself. Thankfully, the bell rings soon after, meaning Kat’s won by the biggest margin so far in this fight!

ROUND 4:
Elettra Lamborghini probably wasn’t expecting to be in another fight for her life. But here she is, in the fourth round, already breathing hard and wondering why her power shots aren’t working as intended. She’s slower out of the gate, no longer rushing the older blonde down. Fine by Winnick, who keeps her guard up and firm, moving sideways to maintain her distance. The Doll knows that a wounded Italian is more dangerous than a dead one, and isn’t about to risk her early lead with a brazen attack, unlike some of her other stablemates. Early seconds sees a mutual dance, keeping their backs close to the ropes and corners. They exchange jabs and crosses once the distance closes naturally, each girl pounding and pummeling the arms, occasionally going south to the tummy or northwards to stun the forehead. But for the most part, it’s an equal contest. That is, until the last minute, with Winnick swerving to the side to avoid another big haymaker from Elettra. Then, the Doll pulls back an arm, intending to counter her shot with a troubling hook to the baby maker. But it was all part of Lamborghini’s plan, that earlier swing just a feint for the real follow-up - KAPOW! Winnick’s face disappeared in leather as the other shot lands thick and true! OUCH! Winnick’s head gets snapped back, her eyes winced and the rest of her features twisted in pain, before suffering more quick smashes to her nose and lips as she gets pushed back! ELETTRA SUDDENLY IN CONTROL, the younger fighter taking the cue to STORM in and try to put her older counterpart away! Winnick weathers against the ropes, making her frame smaller and hiding her head behind her arms, her tummy taking harsh swipes from hook after hook after hook before the bell rings, saving her from a potential knockdown! Elettra scores her own biggest round thus far, confidently raising her arms as she struts back to her corner! To the IBB side, this fight might be an inevitable result!

ROUND 5:
Both ladies look battered but still rearing to go. Elettra comes out all cocky and stuff, probably felt she’s done more damage to Winnick in that last round and that the Doll might be just about ready to melt. BIG charge out of the corner as she hopes to resume her assault and finish her off early, but Winnick has other ideas, moving quickly out of range and then resuming her steady pounding on Elettra’s face and body, those jabs shooting out like nothing happened in the past ten minutes! Elettra’s expression quickly turns to shock as another left glove catches her on the cheek, contorting the flesh and jolting her head to the side. The Italian girl growls and SWINGS back on instinct, but her hooks are wild and miss entirely overhead, with Winnick’s precise punches continuing to batter her silly! Second minute and a step-in hook-uppercut combination catches the big brunette on her cheek and chin, respectively, knocking her head sideways and up! With a groan, Elettra covers up and stumbles back! She looks HURT! A steady advance from the Dollhouse blonde, textbook steps forward and unleashing a flurry, another couple to the side before slamming another combination high and low. Lamborghini’s getting beaten back towards the ropes, her guard falling in tatters as she struggles to defend herself… A sudden HAYMAKER crunches into the top of her face, snapping her head and body backwards with an UGHH! She stumbles, she sways, and then she FALLS!! Elettra collapses to her back, spreadeagled near the ropes, her chest rising and falling fast! It’s a KNOCKDOWN from Kat Winnick! Referee immediately hovers over the fallen Italian girl, but it looks like she ain’t getting up from that number! Elettra’s eyes fully shut and her mouth sucking in huge swathes of air, but otherwise making NO motion to get back up! Just as quickly, he signals for the medics to enter the ring, meaning this fight is as good as OVER!

AFTER:
Huge celebration in the Dollhouse corner as the referee waves his hands in the air, before raising Winnick’s in the center of the ring! All that relief washes over the Doll, who breaks into a grin and lets out a shout of victory of her own! That’s Kat Winnick for you - digs deep and stays focused until the job is done!

Elettra, meanwhile, is slowly stirring from her back, looking red-faced and stunned. At first, she tries to wave off the medics’ attention, but as the reality of her loss hits her, she lies back down and covers her face with both hands, partially to shield her eyes from the glaring stadium lights, but also from the piercing judgment of her fans.

“Look, she can hit like a freight train,” Winnick admits later backstage. That smile is still plastered on her face, as her shoulders are covered with a gym towel, and the rest of her fight team continues to celebrate in the background. “People keep telling me I should be fighting cougars, but I still kick ass at 46. I’ve proven them wrong time and time again. I may have whiffed on some opportunities this year, but in 2024, I won’t be just gunning for the Cougar title again – I’ll fight anyone, young or old.”

Katheryn Winnick ending the year with a big win over a bigger younger opponent, improving her record to an impressive 8-3 for the year and we couldn’t be happier for the badass blonde who just celebrated her 46th birthday only 2 weeks ago.
