Malu Trevejo vs Margot Robbie

Interesting matchup as feisty flyweight Trevejo AGAIN stepping up in class against Sceej bantams, having hung a knockout loss on Jenny McCarthy in 2022. Oddly, cince the McCarthy victory it’s been downhill for Malu - McCarthy win boosted her to 6-1 - now she stands at 7 wins and 1 losses - so back to try to repeat prior success against Sceej bantams. Margot Robbie a little peeved being called out but Jenny McCarthy livid - ranting at press conference about “this little runt” with nerve to call out Sceej Boxing! Some tension at referees instructions - Malu and Margot all business but Jenny Mac has forced her way into seconding Robbie with head trainer Scrubbie McGee. Blonde’s mouth going non-stop “... kick your ass … leave this tramp in a puddle … knock you back in to Mexico (oblivious to fact that Trevejo is Cuban) …”. Antics drawing a cold death stare from Latina Knockouts head trainer Salma Hayak.

Round 1: Both fighters well schooled boxers, light on feet and showing quick mitts. Circling clockwise, flicking jabs and often slipping opponent jab with head movement. Some grumbling about lack of action but purists appreciate that these two are giving an artful demonstration of the sweet science. Blonde ekes out the edge as longer reach allows her to score more and control tempo.

Round 2: Hayak (in very salty Spanish) urging Malu to get to the blonde’s body. Luckily for Sceej corner, J-Mac pronounces herself fluent in Spanish - translates that Hayak thinks Margot has a better body than Malu (??!). “See, you’re getting inside their heads!” announces the Playmate proudly. Back in the ring, Trvejo now feigning with jab, bobbing head, and lashing blonde flank with left hook - paying a toll to get inside from that flashy jab from Barbie - but it is clear that Robbie is NOT liking it to the body. Brunette able to steer to ropes late in the round and pound midriff with both hands until blonde is finally able to tie up arms in a clinch. Round to Tevejo and bout is even.

Round 3: Now we have the seemingly contradictory situation of the smaller fly stalking, hunting and backing up the taller bantam. Margot spitting jab and executing heel turns to try to maintain distance and slip away, but Cuban fighter moving head, picking off shots with forearms, and using quick feet to stay on her blonde. Robbie right flank beginning to pink up from pounding left hook. Margot bares teeth and loads up right hand. Cuban fighter slips straight right and erupts out of crouch with left hook to jaw that toggles blonde head and puts a shimmy in her knees. Margot lunging to tie up and Trevejo bucking shoulders to get hands loose. When referee untangles, blonde with a veteran move of sliding in BEHIND referee, trying to keep official between her and opponent. This draws angry response form Latina Knockout corner. Bell and it is a big third round for Malu.

Round 4: Scrubby McGee in Sceej corner demanding Margot “back dis goil up” but Barbie is skittish, reluctant to engage, nursing sore tummy from last round. She is content to stay up on toes, float around perimeter, fighting almost exclusively with left jab. Latina not content to play raging bull to blonde matadoress - Malu smirking, draws imaginary line with toe midring and beckons Magot to “Fight”. Some boos as Robbie looks tentative and confused. Takes the round but in hardly convincing fashion.

Round 5: Robbie getting tongue lashing in Sceej corner from Scrubby McGee; Jenny Mac adding usual nonsensical gibberish, “You're bigger - just bust her head!” Mcgee seizing on words, “Egzackly right! Lissen to Jenny!”. McCarthy with puzzled look - did Scrubby just say to listen to me? Ringside Tess Valmore to Cassie Scerbo “Did I hear right? Did McGee tell her to listen to McCarthy?!!”

Margot’s pride stung - out of corner to boos from crowd - straight to Trejejo and cracks her straight right hand to the forehead. Malu back a step, shakes her head of cobwebs, grins and she is dead game! Crowd on their fight as fighters at midring trading leather. No one wants to take that first step back. Malu with left to jaw, right to ribs and left back up to jaw and Robbie forced back … and slings straght right hand that catches Cuban right on the button! Malu walking in fence holes … disoriented … and Margot on her! Right hand … right hand … right hand and Latina crumbles to canvas on her side. Referee picks up the count … at five Malu is up on one knee but the topples back on to her side.

It’s over - winner by KO in the 5th … Margot “The Barbie Bomber” Robbie!
