Before: Bantamweight action sees Fates’ newest member Natasha Liu Bordizzo fighting free agent Erin Moriarty. Moriarty’s sole fight was against Liu Bordizzo’s stablemate Elizabeth Olsen in 2021 but tonight she faces off a much more beatable opponent. Natasha has won her first two fights in the FCBA but the Australian has faced weaker competition than Erin who scored a knockdown against Elizabeth Olsen. The two actresses step into the press conference and shoot glares at each other before they get their microphones.
“I know that Fates likes Natasha but I have some bad news for them, Natasha isn’t as good or as popular as I am.” Erin declares. “I knocked Elizabeth Olsen down and I am going to show tonight that I am better than that when I knock Nat out.”
“At least I have a win to back up my trash talk.” Natasha fires back. “Erin is going to be on the canvas tonight once I am done with her.”
Erin is the first girl to make her way to the ring for the fight and the blonde has chosen a white sports bra with matching trunks and golden gloves. Natasha steps out moments later wearing a dark green sports bra with matching gloves and black trunks. The two women thud their gloves together and the referee calls for the bell and ten rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1:
The Aussie is quick out of her corner and the brunette works her jab early to knock the blonde backward. Erin letting Natasha dictate the pace early as the American girl keeping her guard up and the Aussie works her around the ring but she’s not scoring many blows without a response from Erin. Moriarty as tall as Liu Bordizzo and the blonde tags the brunette with a right jab to keep her honest. The Fates girl backs up and the free agent chases after her. Natasha finds the younger girl’s ribs and stops the blonde in her tracks. Moriarty stops her surge forward and the blonde girl backs off. The two actresses start circling each other and trade feints to the bell.
Round 2:
Erin letting Natasha charge out of her corner and the Australian girl comes out swinging and she pounds leather into the American’s gloves. Moriarty’s guard holding strong and the blonde girl connects with a right hook and the brunette girl is staggered! The rookie Liu Bordizzo not used to getting hit hard and it shows. The older actress swings wildly and barely hits Moriarty’s body and the blonde pounds a right into the Fates girl’s face and knocks her back. Liu Bordizzo covering up and Moriarty goes to the actress’s body and plugs leather into her torso. Natasha gasping with each strike and the blonde girl drives her into the ropes. Natasha inexperienced and the Aussie girl swings wildly again and connects with a left but gets walloped with a right and a trickle of blood comes out of her nose. The bell rings to save the Fates girl and the round goes to Moriarty on points.
Round 3:
Moriarty quick out of her corner and the blonde connects with a left into Liu Bordizzo’s ribs and follows up with a right to her foe’s face and the Australian actress gasps in pain. Natasha still a rookie and not used to taking punches and it shows as the Fates girl is a deer in the headlights and on comes Erin. Moriarty digging lefts and rights into Bordizzo’s torso and the Fates girl’s gloves start to fall. Erin seizes her chance and pounds three straight punches into the older girl’s face and down goes Natasha! Liu Bordizzo knocked down for the first time in her career and the Fates girl is shaking her head while Erin is parading around the ring. Natasha crawls to all fours and sees the ref’s count at six. The Australian girl scrambles to her feet on unsteady legs to beat the count and the ref gives her the mandatory before waving in Erin. Moriarty charges forward with a haymaker but the blonde’s blow is obvious and the brunette ducks the blow and connects with a left hook that catches the blonde by surprise. Moriarty stunned by the punch and Liu Bordizzo drives a hard right into the free agent’s face. Erin staggers backward and Natasha goes to her foe’s body and the blonde gasps in pain. The bell rings and Erin wins the round on points with the knockdown but Natasha bounces back.
Round 4:
Liu Bordizzo told she needs to pick it up after the knockdown and the brunette comes out of her corner swinging. Natasha’s first right misses Erin but the follow up left connects with the blonde’s jaw. Moriarty staggered and Natasha drives a hard right into her foe’s body and the Australian girl starts to find her rhythm. The Fates girl connecting with quick rights and lefts into the free agent’s body and she works her backward around the ring. Moriarty clinches for the break but she takes a left into her mouth and it draws blood. The referee separates the two actresses and the round continues. Erin with a left into Natasha’s body and the blonde follows up with a right haymaker the Aussie ducks under and Natasha connects with a right into Erin’s chin. The bell rings before the Fates girl can follow up and the round goes to Natasha on points.
Round 5:
NLB is quick to leave her corner and the brunette feints a right at her opponent’s head and Erin falls for the feint. Liu Bordizzo buries leather into Moriarty’s midriff and the blonde gasps out in pain. Moriarty staggering backward and the blonde is bent over at her waist and on comes Liu Bordizzo. Natasha with rights and lefts into Erin’s ribs and the blonde is covering up as the brunette digs into her body. NLB showing off her speed as she turns up the tempo and Erin is wilting under the pressure. Moriarty’s gloves start to drop and Liu Bordizzo hammers blows into her foe’s face. Erin on wobbly legs and Natasha connects with a one-two combo to drop her opponent to the canvas. Erin moves her arms and legs weakly on the canvas as the ref counts. Moriarty picks her head up at the count of seven and barely gets her arms underneath her as she cradles her ribs as the ref counts her out. Your winner by KO5 Natasha Liu Bordizzo!
After:
Natasha raises her gloves in victory and she poses for the crowd after surviving her first knockdown of her career. The Aussie actress walks around the ring and comes to her defeated foe and embraces her before exiting the arena. Moriarty with a strong showing in only her second fight but the blonde needs to find a stable to consistently get fights and improve.
“Erin fought hard.” Natasha tells the press. “She knocked me down and hit my hard but I came back and beat her. Now on to the next girl.”
Moriarty keeps her comments to the press brief after losing the fight. “I had her and I let her beat me. I will get her in the rematch and get a stable to sign me.”
