Intro:
A major bout already for the Diamond Boxing Tournament coming in the third round. Both Amy Willerton (2-0) and Ireland Baldwin (2-0) are undefeated in the event. A win here will go a massive way to staking a claim for the title. Which one can emerge on top of this hard hitting clash?

Before the clash both women gave their thoughts on camera about the bout and how things had went for them in the tournament. First up was Amy as she stood outside her stables gym in a black hoodie, tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. She says "hey guys. As you see I am ready for another day of intense training." Bringing the person holding the camera indoors to look around the gym. Seeing the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy working out on a treadmill as Florence Pugh is shadow boxing in front of a mirror.

"Without all of these guys backing me I wouldn't be the fighter I am today. This is where champions are being built and Ireland Baldwin can look like a giant, problem for her is I have two axes to chop her down with" says Amy with a twinkle in her eye as she raises her fists. Coach Gillian Anderson shouts "that was so bad!" As the other girls stop training to laugh a moment. Showing how close knit the group is.

On the other hand Ireland only has herself and her coach. She stands on a beach in a white one piece swimsuit, working the pads her coach is holding in her white gloves. She finishes up with a high five to her coach and a big beaming smile. Showing off that is highly motivated for this tournament.

Ireland points to the camera with her right gloved fist as she says "Amy you ain't got a hope in hell. I have watched you and honestly you should have stayed in England. This tournament is going to be my crowning achievement." Confidence high in her camp after her opening two wins.

Fight night in Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium. First out comes Amy with her coach Ali Landry. She is looking excited as she walks down the aisle. Ali rubbing her shoulders behind her she looks confident her girl is going to get the job done. Amy stepping into the ring wearing a red sports bra with white trim down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, while her hair is in a ponytail to finish her look off. She kisses her gloves before raising them above her head as she gets a loud cheer.

Ireland gets a lot of love from the crowd too as she begins her walk to the ring. She looks focused on the ring as she almost has a little swagger to her step. She climbs into the ring wearing an American flag pattern sports bra, red trunks with white stars down the sides matching boots and silver gloves as she goes for a somewhat patriotic look. Her hair is tied into a ponytail too as she nods to her coach that she can take down her opponent.

Both women jog to the center of the ring. Amy showing no fear for the taller fighter as she stares up at her. Ireland hands on her hips trying to look menacing. They both touch gloves before walking back to their corner. Someone's unbeaten run in the tournament is about to end as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Amy knows she has to start fast and is crouching down early to make herself a hard target for the taller woman. Working the torso of Ireland early on as Ireland looks annoyed when she is landing more cuffing punches around the top of her opponents head. Amy soon enough surprising Ireland with an overhand right to her cheek to start reeling her back into the ropes.

That is probably the worst way Ireland saw the round kicking off. Taking hooks to her ribs till she can push off Amy, baring her gumshield to her as she lands a stiff jab into the forehead of Amy, slowly starting to get her rhythm as they head towards the final minute of the round.

But again Willerton catches out Baldwin, this time landing a straight under her chin to rock back her head. Ireland is getting hit around her torso that includes her tits getting caught in the fire. Ireland frustrated drags Amy into a front headlock, where she pounds the right side of her opponent with her left glove till the referee breaks them up and warns Ireland to stick to the rules. The bell rings with Ireland mouthing "bytch" at Amy. Pissed off at how bad that round went for her.

Round 2:
After talking with her coach; Ireland is starting to use her jab off her back foot. Thrusting it downwards when Amy tries to crouch down to become more compact. A straight catches Ireland again in her chest, Amy stepping inside to work as things get scruffy after Ireland holds onto her and looks to twist them around to drive Amy into the turnbuckles of Baldwin's corner. The referee needed to break them up again.

When they resume Ireland is the faster on the trigger with a straight punch slamming into the top of Amy's forehead, followed by a left cross to her cheek. Amy now needing to cover up more tightly as Ireland looks to power through her with straight shots. Keeping Amy on the outside part of the ring while she holds the center.

Amy is landing a few good single punches out her guard, problem for her is that Ireland is controlling the range now, which means Amy is getting caught around her chest and through her mitts when she opens up too much. The round comes to an end with Baldwin still not looking overly pleased. Amy nodding to her coach that she got caught flat footed when they resumed after the clinch.

Round 3:
Resuming with Amy feinting a little more, looking for different angles to strike as things become a little cagey, the importance of a win here not lost on either woman. With both landing stiff single punches but Ireland is the one trying to land power punches, just not quite landing flush with many.

Leading to Amy ducking under a right hook and stepping inside. She pounds in several short hooks to each side of Ireland's body, trying to cut the bigger woman down to size as Ireland is groaning with each hit. Pushing off Amy so she can land a left hook to her cheek. Ireland is now the one pushing things forwards as she drives Amy back to the ropes with a straight into her face.

Final minute sees Amy get off the ropes after ducking under a sweeping left hook. Getting into space as she drills in a jab/straight into the solar plexus of her opponent. Getting clipped over the top of her head with a jab. Amy finishes strong as she gets in closer with a few sweeping left hooks to the body to make Ireland grit her mouthpiece. At the bell Ireland gives Amy a push that earns her a warning from the referee, Ireland gets told off her corner to not let her emotions get the best of her as she sits staring angrily at the canvas.

Round 4:
Pushing back to their feet. Amy is stepping in more regularly now to work the body of Ireland, who looks downright miserable. Nudging Amy with her left forearm back, Ireland does catch her flush to the cheek with a short right hook. Landing a crisp jab afterwards into her face as there is a cut on Willerton's nose to give her something to think of.

Boxing around the center of the ring with both trying to gain the upper hand. Each time Amy is able to plug away on the inside, she is met by Ireland creating space and pounding her face with single stiff punches that send some sweat and blood flying off her.

Final minute of the round sees Amy trying to keep on the inside, A CLUBBING RIGHT HOOK ON HER EAR KNOCKS HER DOWN TO HER RIGHT KNEE!

The crowd look a little stunned, well the ones who are not Ireland fans. She walks to the neutral corner with her fans roaring her on. 1...2...3... Amy shakes her head to clear it. 4...5...6.. She looks to the referee to watch the count. 7...8.. Up gets Amy with a little shake of her legs, gloves are up as the referee checks her over.

They are told to fight on but it's moments later the bell rings. Ireland telling Amy "I am going to put your lights out next round little British bytch." Amy scowling at her as the referee gets between them. There are some pundits wondering if Amy was lucky to see the bell there as Ali works hard on getting her pulled around for the next round.

Round 5:
Ireland definitely has the bit between her teeth as she comes out looking to take the fight to Amy. Thrusting her jab into the face of the English fighter to knock her back to her heels. Amy needing to box more defensively as she keeps her guard tight to her.

Swinging in more hooks now as she looks to try to club down Amy. Ireland is missing with a few shots as Amy shows her reflexes with her upper body look ok, her legs are a little static though as she fires single punches back into the body of Ireland and her chest to keep her honest.

Things change late in the round as Ireland misses with a sweeping left hook. Amy counters with an uppercut that looks to have landed around the solar of her opponent. Ireland gasps as her cheeks turn red. Amy pounding away at the body as she sees her chance at a counter attack. Working Ireland back to the ropes till the round comes to an end. Both women have certainly hurt each other as Ireland can't help but hold her stomach as she walks to her corner. Amy shutting her own eyes to try to keep her emotions in check.

Round 6:
They both come out to resume with a little caution from both. Amy though sees an opening after feinting with her jab, ducking under a straight, AMY SWINGS IN A RIGHT HOOK THAT LANDS ON THE LIVER AREA OF BALDWIN! DOWN GOES IRELAND TO ALL FOURS!

Amy walks to the neutral corner nodding to her corner as Ali applauds her with a smile. 1...2...3....4.. Ireland spits out her gumshield as she rolls to her left side. 5...6...7... Holding her stomach with both arms. Eyes watering as her cheeks are red. 8...9...10 that's it for Ireland as she is counted out!

Winner Amy Willerton KO Round 6:

After:
As you'd expect with two women fighting for so much, this was full of drama! Amy was reeling at one point but she comes back to show the improvement she has made under her managements keen eye. Ali gives her a warm embrace when she returns to her corner. Telling Amy she is proud of the toughness she showed tonight.

Ireland on the other hand needs help to sit up slowly as an ice pack is placed on her stomach. Ireland wipes tears away from her eyes as she asks through pained lips "how did I loss this fight?" Her coach tells her they will focus on that later. She nods but stares hard at Amy.

Who comes over to her after her gloves are taken off to check on Ireland. Shaking her head at Amy, Ireland waves her hand away when Amy offers to help her up. Not in the mood to want any help from the victor. Amy nods to her looking a little glum that Ireland won't take her friendly gesture. Moving back to her own corner as Ireland mouths "c**t" behind her back.

Out the ring goes Baldwin when she feels good enough to move. It will be interesting now to see how she reacts to this setback after seeming to find her feet in the ring lately. Will she prove she has turned the page in her career by coming back to win in her next fight?

In the ring Amy gets her left hand raised to make the result official. Amy smiling as she enjoys the love of her supporters. Ali tells the camera "we signed this girl because we knew she would be a star." Making Amy blush a little as she nods. Hugging Ali afterwards as they have certainly formed a bond.

Amy climbs out the ring with Ali to her right. This is of course a major result as Amy has taken the legs out of one challenge for the trophy. If she can keep on this run then the title will be hers, will some though look at her being hurt by Ireland as a sign that she might not last the distance? It will certainly be an interesting run to follow in the tournament.
