Intro:
Second bout of tonight sees two women trying to get their maiden win in the Diamond Boxing Tournament. Megan Thee Stallion (0-2) was seen as one of the possible contenders for the title, instead she has to claw her way into the event. Across the ring will be rookie Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld (0-2), who has had a hard start to her career. One of them here in Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium will get their first victory in the tournament, who will it be?

Heading into the bout both gave their thoughts on video. Megan filmed her video at her stables gym after hitting a punch bag. Wiping her brow with her black hand wrapped right hand. Megan turned to the camera wearing a black sports bra, short shorts and black trainers.

"This has been a f**king joke! Losing to those blonde bimbos (Amy Willerton and Hailey Clauson) and now I get another. Daphne you are just so skinny little punk standing in my way. You are the biggest joke of this entire event" Megan says looking tense. Pushing the heavy bag before she walks to a bench where a towel and a bottle of water is.

After taking a drink, Megan adds "mark my words all you bytches. I am pissed off and ready to strike you all down. The trophy can go to any one for all I care now, I am simply going to take names." She walks off when she finishes, making her point clear as day how she feels.

Meanwhile Daphne is at her home it seems sitting on her sofa wearing a pink dress. She nods to the camera as she says "things haven't exactly went as I hoped but I am learning. I knew it would be a shock if I won this tournament, so don't worry about me getting too down my fans." Blowing a kiss to the camera as if for her fans as a thank you for their support.

She continues "now to Megan. You are a loud mouth bully and now people are standing up to you, well you hate it. I have no fear at all for you." Smiling as she looks confident that this will be her first victory. Though it is far from an easy task ahead for her.

Fight night. First out is Megan with her coach the legend Jeri Ryan. Megan marches to the ring wearing a metallic red sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair is braided as she taps her cheeks before jogging up the ring steps. Instead the ring Megan nods to Jeri that she has got this.

Daphne comes out now with her coach behind her. Daphne waves to the crowd as she walks to the ring. She is wearing an orange sports bra with white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, her hair is tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring. Bowing to each side of the ring before she locks eyes onto her opponent from her corner.

Brought to the middle of the ring by the referee, both women bounce on their toes as they show no fear for their opponent. Daphne puts out her gloves to show respect to Megan, who simply ignores her. Both jog back to their corners ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters with Megan looking to close the distance early, pressure the rookie with a few sweeping hooks coming the way of Daphne. Who jabs back at her as she dances on her toes, showing good movement to dodge and land the crisper punches in the early going.

Pushing Daphne back into the ropes; Megan gets in several hard body shots to show the model that she isn't here to play games. Daphne needing to push at her face to get away from the ropes. Megan coming again after Groeneveld but getting caught with a jab/straight combo to her face to slow her down.

Daphne seems to have rode the storm out as she plants her feet to land more stiffer two punch combos. Megan being outworked in the final minute as she looks frustrated. Clearly wanting to blast her opponent out the way but instead finding herself having to tighten her guard. The round comes to an end with Megan tapping her own cheeks as Daphne raises her right glove above her head to the delight of her fans.

Round 2:
Megan again coming out quickly but this time using her jab more, both lacing the other to the face with clean jabs when they spot openings. Daphne this time misses when she goes for a straight as Megan deflects it on her left glove, stepping in with a short right hook to the cheek of Daphne to turn her head slightly.

Now with a real opening, Megan drives Daphne back into a neutral corner. Daphne covering up more tightly as she is being pounded from both flanks, Megan looks to be digging her toes into the canvas to land real power punches. Leading to the Dutch stunner needing to pull Stallion into a tight clinch to slow her down. Referee splits them up with Megan waving Daphne to bring it on with her right glove.

Daphne smartly boxing defensively with her jab stabbing into the forehead of Megan, moving around the parameter of the ring. Megan landing several straight punches around the torso of her opponent in response, just missing with the big overhand shots. The round ends with a good looking chess match forming between aggression and defensive boxing here.

Round 3:
Back out they come with Daphne trying to sit on her punches more to make Megan respect her, a clubbing left hook catches Daphne around her ear to make her take a step to her left. Megan pushing Daphne to the ropes, where she puts her head down as she drills away to the body of her opponent. Daphne grunting with each hit till she holds onto Megan.

Free from the ropes, Daphne looks a little wary to say the least of Megan. Doubling up her jab to try to keep the power hitter off her. Another clipping left to her chin opens Groeneveld up to a straight into her lips to knock her head back. Megan bullying her into a corner, where Daphne is pounded around her sides.

Pushing Megan off and swinging a right hook in. Daphne looks to have caught the singer out there as Megan goes back a step with her head whipped around. Daphne landing several punches back to back to drive Megan back into the opposite neutral corner. Megan covering up till the bell rings moments later. Megan says "motherf**king bytch" as she returns to her stool. Furious at ending the round so poorly there.

Round 4:
Pushing back off her stool to go fight Daphne, Megan this time is met with a double jab square into her forehead. Daphne looks to have regained confidence after that last drive she had in the last round. Stepping back out the way of shots before pounding counter punches back into Stallions face.

Which is not helping Megan's mood one bit. She is landing a few sweeping hooks to the body, problem for Megan is she is getting hit clean to her face, causing a mouse to form under her right eye to give her something to worry about. Daphne not looking worried now as she plants her feet to exchange then move on.

Final minute sees things get scruffy as Megan steps in closer. Daphne holding onto her and Megan lifts her up on her toes with arms wrapped around her hips, the referee quick to step in as Megan looks ready to land a belly to belly wrestling move on her opponent. Referee warning Megan to keep things clean. The final moments of the round are a flurry of punches from both women as Megan steps after her foe till the round ends. Megan's coach giving her a telling off for losing her cool. While Daphne smiles her to coach as she looks relaxed again after a bumpy ride through two and three.

Round 5:
Out they come with Daphne landing several clean single punches to Megan's face as she moves side to side. Megan looking more in the zone now though as she moves her head, deflecting a straight to land one of her own into the chest of Daphne. A clubbing left hook follows to the ear of Groeneveld to turn her head. AN OVERHAND RIGHT LANDS AROUND HER TEMPLE TO SEND DAPHNE TUMBLING BACKWARDS ONTO HER BACKSIDE!

There's that power of Megan as she flexes her right arm while taunting Daphne. Marching to the neutral corner as she looks keen to be done with this bout now. 1...2...3.. Daphne shaking her head as she looks at the canvas to clear the fog she has. 4...5...6.. Pushing herself up to her knees. 7...8.. Daphne gets to her feet with a little wobble, gloves up to show she can fight on, causing Megan to visibly sigh in annoyance.

Coming back after Daphne, whose legs don't seem as stable as before. It isn't long till a pile driver like right slams square into the face of Daphne to send her reeling into a neutral corner. Where Megan pounces on her with right hooks smacking the face of Daphne cleanly. DAPHNE SEEMS TO BE HOLDING THE ROPES UNDER HER RIGHT ARM AS SHE ISN'T PROTECTING HERSELF! REFEREE HAS SEEN ENOUGH AS HER LEFT EYE IS SWELLING SHUT! WAVING THE FIGHT OFF AS DAPHNE IS DONE IN THEIR EYES!

Winner Megan Thee Stallion TKO Round 5

After:
While it wasn't the brutal knockout Megan would have seemingly wanted, it's an important win on the board and she battered Daphne senseless it seems as the Dutch model falls to her knees when she tries to move to her corner. Megan showing no regret for her as she pounds her chest with her right glove and stares up to the heavens with her eyes shut. Clear relief on her face that she has the win on her tournament record now.

Hearing back to her corner, Megan thanks Jeri for the tough love, with Jeri telling her "they won't be as easy to hurt as Daphne was, this was a rookie remember. The other women in this tournament will eat you up if you go swinging like that with no set up." Megan looks a little stunned that she isn't getting praised but she soon nods, knowing that she has to do better for future fights.

Daphne meanwhile is helped onto her stool by her coach, she is certainly learning the sweet science in the school of hard knocks. Her coach looking a little regretful that they didn't throw the towel in. Maybe thinking she could hold on and fight back, instead they have to patch up the defeated Groeneveld once again. Who maybe wishing she had taken an easy learning fight or fights before being in this tournament.

All Daphne can really do is watch through her good right eye Megan getting her left arm raised in victory by the referee. Megan roaring "this is the beginning!" To her cheering supporters. Pointing at herself that she is going to be the best in this tournament. Even as her chances to win it all seems remote right now.

Daphne is helped out the ring by her coach. Megan blowing her a kiss before raising her middle finger on her right hand to show how little respect she has for Daphne. Who turns and glares at her when she is outside the ring. Daphne shaking her head as she is helped to the backstage area.

In the ring Megan and Jeri share a few words about what's next. Leaving the ring together moments later with Megan smiling as she nods to her fans. Looking like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders as she walks to the backstage area. Knowing that she has more sterner tests ahead.
