Intro:
We kick off the fourth round of this year's Diamond Boxing Tournament with Daphne Groeneveld (0-3) still looking for her first win of her career. She is facing the local hero Ireland Baldwin (2-1) here in San Francisco's Cow Palace. Can Daphne upset the odds tonight or will Ireland kick off tonight with something for the crowd to cheer?

The fighters send in videos to build up to the fight. With Daphne doing hers as she is at a photoshoot. She finishes up standing in a white dressing gown as she tells the camera "things certainly haven't went how I have wanted and Ireland normally wouldn't be someone who I'd probably want to face. Of course though she is hurt, losing two fights in a row, she is there for me to take down and I plan on being Jack climbing that beanstalk." Winking before she goes into her changing room.

While Ireland sits on her poach looking out over her garden in a white dress. A glass of orange juice to her left on a wooden table as she looks in a serious mood. She says "I see I am being written off again. Look Amy (Willerton) beat me and Hilary f**king Rhoda got lucky. Unlucky for Daphne I am in the mood to remind you all why I am going to be a force in this division." Taking a drink of her juice as she looks like she wants to say more, instead holding her tongue.

Fight night with Daphne coming out to a mixed response. She is trying her best to ignore what is going on around her. She soon is in the ring wearing her national colours of an orange sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as she bounces on her toes in her corner.

Out comes Ireland to a loud cheer. She raises her arms in the air as she smirks. Walking down the aisle with her coach as she nods to her fans. She is wearing a white sports bra with red and blue stripes down each side, matching trunks and shoes, blue gloves, hair tied into a braid. She climbs into the ring and blows kisses to each side of the ring before walking to her corner.

The referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring to go through their instructions. Daphne having to look up at Ireland, with the local girl smirking down with hands on her hips. They crack their gloves into their opponents set. Walking back to their corners as they are ready to go. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
It's a quick start from Daphne as she looks to close up on Ireland, going to work around the body of the taller fighter. Ireland in response lands a few clipping hooks as she steps back to try to create space. There's a few mistakes from both as they at one point clash body to body after stepping on each others toes.

After a bit of a chaotic opening minute. Ireland lands a crisp jab/straight into the face of Daphne to snap her head backwards. Ireland starts to put her punches together better, forcing Daphne around the perimeter of the ring while she holds the middle. Daphne landing a few jabs around the torso of the taller fighter. Getting hit back though plum into her face when she does.

Now less then a minute to go. Daphne lands a left/right hook to the ribs of her opponent. Showing she is going to be trying her best to win. Daphne though is shoved to her face back to the ropes, where a double jab/straight combo splits her guard apart. Ireland landing a left/right hook combo of her own to the cheeks of her opponent. The round ends with Baldwin looking the crisper fighter but she does seem to have a few things to worry about.

Round 2:
Resuming with stiff jabs being exchanged. Daphne dips under a right cross to land two left hooks into the body of Ireland, who snarls out and lands a jab into the top of her opponents head. The faster hands belong to Daphne. She uses them more as she moves her upper body to dodge and land two punch combos in return.

Still Ireland is landing some clubbing blows. Smacking Daphne around her cheeks with cross punches when she can set them up behind her jab. A missed left hook thought leaves her open to an overhand right onto her jaw. Daphne sticking in to work the torso of the larger fighter till she is pushed off again.

Daphne is getting some momentum behind her. Striking Ireland with the cleaner combos as she dances around her. Proving somewhat elusive as Ireland is getting plugged into her stomach. The round soon ends with Daphne looking relaxed when she sits down. Ireland is getting the loud cheers but is she feeling the pressure as she talks to her coach.

Round 3:
Exchanging out the gates as Ireland is being forced to circle with Daphne up on her toes. The Dutch model has upped the tempo, striking at different angles as Ireland looks a little more unsure of herself. The chants for Ireland ring out around the famous arena. She duly lands a stiff jab/right cross to open up Daphne to a few more solid punches square into her face to end the first minute of the round.

Ireland though is held onto. After they are broken up, Ireland misses with a left cross and takes two hard rights to her ribs. Daphne moves back when she gets clipped around her head. Ireland needing to work hard to match the intensity of her opponent. Daphne though slams in a straight under the chin of her opponent to snap back her head.

Final minute sees Ireland get caught on her lips by a jab/right hook combo. She is forced onto the ropes as Daphne now looks to unload on her, especially around the body. Ireland nudges her off before she lands a straight into the nose of Groeneveld to make her retreat. Not too long later the bell rings to end the round. Solid start from Daphne as she looks more assured of herself. Ireland meanwhile needing to take a breath as her cheeks have a pink hue around them.

Round 4:
Daphne looking to keep the pace up to wear down the larger fight. Problem is if you get caught, Daphne does by a right hook on her temple, leading to a jab knocking her back two steps as she looks a little shaky. DAPHNE TRIES TO MOVE OUT OF DANGER BUT EATS A LEFT HOOK TO THE JAW! UPPERCUT CRASHES ONTO HER CHIN AND DOWN GOES DAPHNE! REFEREE CHECKS HER AND DOESN'T BOTHER TO COUNT AS SHE IS OUT!

Winner Ireland Baldwin KO Round 4

After:
March wasn't her month but April has started perfectly. Ireland blows kisses to the fans as she goes on a victory lap inside it. Her coach applauding her as they get onto the ring apron where her corner is. The chants for Ireland are loud as she is beaming.

The winner soon is back in her corner though taking a breath before she sits down. Admitting she is annoyed with herself she was made to work for this victory by a quick Daphne. She nods as her coach tells her she did a great job tonight and made a statement with that brutal knockout.

Daphne on the other hand needs smelling salts to bring her around. She looks dazed when she is slowly helped onto her stool. Leaning against the top rope behind her with her arms either side of her resting on the top. She is blinking to clear her vision as that was a brutal knockout she suffered.

When they deem her ok to move; Daphne is helped out of the ring, led to the backstage area with help. Daphne fighting a few tears as this school of hard knocks is certainly testing her resolve go be a boxer. She chose the hard part to start her career and four straight losses is a bitter pill to swallow.

Ireland on the other hand is getting the sweet taste of victory as her right hand is raised by the referee to a loud roar. Ireland flexes her left arm with a big smile. Nodding to her supporters. Ireland gets her third win in the tournament. While it is going to be hard for her to win it, could she battle her way for second?

The victor stepping out the ring to hug a few members of her family in the VIP section. Including her cousin Hailey as they take a photo together for their social media. Ireland growing in her reputation within the ring. Can she follow in "Godzilla" Robyn Lawley's steps to become a future FCBA world champion?
