Intro:
We kick off tonight's action in Turin's Pala Alpitour arena with the number one ranked fighter in the Diamond Boxing Tournament Hailey Clauson (5-0) taking on the bottom ranked Daphne Groeneveld (0-5). Could we see a major upset here or will Hailey continue her march towards the Tiara and trophy?

As with each fight in this tournament; both women were asked to give their thoughts on camera. Hailey looks excited to be in Italy as she shows off herself touring Turin. Finishing up outside the arena wearing a light blue dress, matching heels and black sunglasses.

Taking off her sunglasses. Hailey says "God I love this place! It feels so wonderful to be somewhere with so much culture. I will definitely be bringing you back here Henry (Cavill) for a weekend." Winking at the camera as Henry is obviously behind the lens.

"Oh but don't worry; I am not getting too big for my boots. After losing my JMDD title two months ago, well I know that I need to be laser focused to win this tournament. That means blasting out Daphne before I take down Ireland (Baldwin) next month. Nobody is going to stop me now." Flexing her arms with a cheeky grin as her mannerisms show that she is feeling a little cocky, even if she doesn't want to be.

On the other hand Daphne puts out a workout video in her private gym before she flew out to Italy. Working a heavy bag, skipping, doing a whole circuit for her training. Finishing up she sits on a stool wearing a black sports bra, tight yoga pants and white trainers. Sipping water as sweat cascades down her body.

"I get it I haven't exactly shown I was worth a spot in this years tournament. That the odds are against me as I step into Turin to fight the best fighter arguably right now" Says Daphne. She wipes her brow with the back of her right hand as she takes a deep breath.

She then adds sternly "upsets are there to happen. You see I am working my ass off to improve, to be in peak shape and to be ready for these large tests I am faced with. I respect you Hailey but I am not afraid of you." Looking defiantly at the camera as she shows she means what she says.

Fight night! First through the curtain is Hailey with Henry to her right. She walks down the aisle to the ring smiling. Soon enough stepping into the ring wearing a red sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, gold gloves with red thumbs, as her hair is in a ponytail finishes her look. She hugs Henry before she shadow boxes to warm up.

Daphne then steps onto the aisle followed by her coach. She looks determined as she walks with a purpose to the ring. Tapping her cheeks with her orange gloves before she jogs up the ring steps and climbs through the ropes. Daphne has went for her Dutch national colours as she has an orange sports bra with white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, her hair is braided as she stares across the ring at Hailey.

Brought to the middle of the ring by the referee. Hailey has a rye smile on her face as she has her gloves on her hips. Daphne shaking her arms and legs to keep them loose. Once the instructions are finished by the referee, the fighters touch gloves respectfully enough. Jogging back to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both move out their corners trading jabs as they circle. Hailey trying to step in but Daphne sees it coming. Stepping back Daphne is landing several good straight punches back Hailey in her face. Maybe a little overconfidence from Clauson as she is getting touched up by Groeneveld.

A left cross catches Daphne across her face. Hailey starting to push back Daphne with straight punches back into her face, switching to the body when Daphne's back touches the ropes. Daphne holds onto her, landing a few rabbit punches to the back of Hailey's head to show how much she wants to win this bout. They are broken up with Hailey not looking impressed by her foes tactics.

Last minute sees Hailey get caught coming in with a left hook as Daphne dodged a straight. A straight lands on the lips of the American to make her retreat back. Daphne comes in firing as she Hailey covers up. Clauson trying to fire off her back foot but is getting caught clean through to her face when she does. Daphne keeping Hailey near the ropes as she moves back when Hailey comes back at her. The bell rings to end the round, a solid start from the Dutch fighter as she looks fired up on the return to her stool.

Round 2:
Back out they come with both women opening up more. Again Daphne is showing good footwork and annoying Hailey with counter punching tactics. Hailey starting to swing in more hooks without much aiming. Allowing Daphne to snap her head back with counter shots square into her cheeks to mark them up.

A right hook turns the head of Clauson. Daphne pushes forwards as she forces Hailey back into a neutral corner. Hailey pushing at the chest of Daphne so she can get out the corner. Daphne is certainly looking motivated to get the first victory of her career. Landing several good shots through the mitts of Hailey to her face.

Late in the round; Hailey shows why she has been such a force over the past year and a bit. She deflects a straight to ram one of her own into the nose of Daphne. Following with a right hook on the chin of the Dutch fighter to turn her head. Suddenly Hailey is powering forwards to drive her opponent back to the opposite set of ropes. Daphne shelling up as Hailey is firing in hooks while digging her toes into the canvas.

The round ends with Hailey tapping her gloves as she returns to her corner. She might be starting to warm up in this bout. Daphne meanwhile sits looking happy enough with how she has started this bout.

Round 3:
Trading punches around each others cheeks. Hailey feints before drilling in a straight to the solar plexus of Daphne to make her groan. A left hook pounds to twist the head of Daphne around. Hailey now bullies back her foe to the ropes. Digging in punches around the torso of Daphne when she can't land flush up top.

Grabbing onto Hailey, Daphne lands some more rabbit punches as Hailey digs at her kidneys. The referee pushes them apart and warns them to keep it clean. Both resume with Daphne trying to stop Hailey gaining more momentum with a hold a hit strategy, earning her another warning from the referee as Hailey looks pissed off.

Under forty five seconds to go; a straight catches Daphne on her forehead to knock her head back. A left/right hook combo makes Daphne cry out as she backs off. Hailey uses her left shoulder to bump back Daphne to the ropes with an uppercut snapping back the head of the still winless fighter. Daphne being pounded around her head up until the bell rings. Hailey marching back to her corner as Henry is smiling, enjoying her being so fired up. Daphne shaking her head to clear any fog.

Round 4:
Back out come the fighters with Daphne starting to get caught more as Hailey is fully focused on beating her. They exchange but a straight hammers into the nose of Daphne to cause it to trickle blood. A left hook then twists the head of Groeneveld as she is being beaten backwards.

Daphne looks to hold as her nose is getting clipped and she is certainly not enjoying that. An uppercut rocks her as her legs wobble. LEFT HOOK TO THE EAR SENDS DAPHNE TUMBLING DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE ON THE CANVAS!

Hailey stands over Daphne yelling at her to stay down. The referee nudges her towards the neutral corner so the count can begin. 1....2....3....4... Daphne groans as she rolls to her back. 5....6....7... Eyes shut as she holds her right glove to her nose. 8....9....10 it's all over!

Winner Hailey Clauson KO Round 4

After:
Hailey has done her job tonight of moving closer to the trophy. She raises her arms in the air as she feels the weight off her shoulders. Knowing it's up to others to stop her now. Henry meets her in her corner with an embrace, telling her how she is the dominant force in this division.

All the while Daphne is on the other end of the scale. She is helped to sit up as her nose is patched up. She sobs as another victory has eluded her. Now she has only one more chance to get a victory in this tournament. Showing how tough it is now in the welterweight division after years of it being dubbed the weakest division only five years ago.

Daphne is helped up to her feet and over to her corner. Hailey comes over to tell her "I'll give you a free lesson. Don't dare try to rile up people like me because next time your nose will be broken bytch." Pushing Daphne to her face as she shows her annoyance with her. Daphne stands up furious as Hailey walks back to her corner. Her coach holds her to stop her trying to fight Hailey after just being beaten down by her.

Instead Daphne is led out the ring by her coach. While inside the ring; Hailey gets her left hand raised in victory. Hailey blows a kiss to the nearest camera as is all smiles. While she hasn't won the tournament yet, it is firmly in her hands, just defeat Ireland Baldwin if Ireland wins her bout later and Hailey is the third ever winner of the Diamond Boxing Tournaments.

Leaving the ring with Henry, both with an arm around the others back. It will be interesting to the gossip magazines how they celebrate tonight. For now all FCBA pundits care about is if Hailey is now the number one pound for pound fighter around.
