Intro:
Two top models from different parts of the world meet in the ring. Cara Delevingne and Mia Kang have had a bit of a rough 2023, this is a big chance to change their fortunes going into next year. New York's Madison Square Garden is the venue for this contest.

Cara spoke to the FCBA Networks Alicia Atout as she walked into that arena. Cara wearing a white hoodie, black jeans and boots, her gym bag over her right shoulder. Cara said "hey Alicia, while it's freezing outside I am so pleased to be back in New York and boxing here." Smiling as she looks around.

Asked about her opinion on Mia, Cara answers "oh Mia! Well sure she acts tough but last I saw she was being rode around a ring by Ming (Xi, Mia lost to Ming in a body saddle bout last month) so I see her as having a bark worse then her bite. I'll put her down." Nodding with a smile as Alicia thanks her for her time. She heads off to her locker room.

While Alicia has to step into the locker room of Kang to see her warming up. She wears a black vest, black shorts and is bare foot as she shadow boxes. Mia's coach says she can take a minute to talk to Alicia. Smiling as she heads over to the interviewer.

"I'll keep this simple so I don't get wrong off my coach. Cara has had success, she has never faced anyone like me. Over the years I have worked hard to become stronger, fitter and better with my technical skills. It helps I am still pissed off about last month, I will work my way back to fighting Ming, starting by knocking out Cara" says Mia. Her coach shouts for her to get back to warming up. Alicia kids before she leaves before she is yelled at.

Fighting time! Cara is first to come through the curtain with her coach. Cara is wearing a navy blue sports bra, navy blue trunks with black stripes down the sides, matching shoes, her hair is in a ponytail. She soon climbs into the ring with a serious look on her face, this is an important night for her as it could lead her back on the right path with a win.

Now here comes Mia with her coach behind her. Mia is wearing a red sports bra with gold stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, with red gloves, hair tied into a ponytail too. Mia has her usual intense expression as she steps through the ropes into the ring. She bangs her gloves together in her corner.

The fighters step together at the center of the ring after being waved there by the referee. The fighters stare each other down as their fans chant their names. Both slam their gloves into their opponents set. They jog back to their corners with both ready for the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Off they go exchanging jabs, some smack on their opponents left glove. Mia is the one to up the tempo first as she steps in with a straight to the chest of Cara, just missing with the follow up left hook as the English fighter leans out the way and lands a straight into Mia's face in reply. Both fighters exchanging more punches as they warm up to the task in front of them.

Mia lands the first serious blow with a left hook on the ribs of Cara before a short uppercut knocks the younger fighter onto her heels. Mia drives Cara backwards with straight punches to her face. Cara needing to nudge back Mia to move away from the ropes. Catching Mia with a short right hook when the Chinese fighter looks to keep the heat on her.

As they enter the final thirty seconds of the round. Mia is doing a good job holding the middle of the ring. Out working her opponent around the outside part of the ring but still taking some clean shots back into her face and torso as Cara shows fight. At the bell both stare their opponent down before marching back to their corners.

Round 2:
The Kang camp might have been happy about round one but Delevingne is out the blocks faster this time. Cara moving in and out of range with little three punch flurries. Mia trying to hide her annoyance as she throws back at the head of Cara to try to ward her back and grab control of the round.

A right cross does hit Cara on her forehead, allowing Mia to back her up to the ropes. The Chinese star fires in several power punches as she stretches her elbows, getting clinched by Cara and forcing the referee to step in to split them up. Mia grins till she eats a jab on her lips and misses with a left hook in response.

Mia looks to have the power over Cara but she can't pin her down for long. Getting smacked with two and three punch combos as her own output goes down to single punches. The round ends with Cara walking to her corner with both arms in the air to show the world who won this round.

Round 3:
Resuming with Mia looking to press the action a little more out the gates. Both women are landing stiff shots through guards into cheeks to mark them up as they open up more. Cara goes to the body with a quick flurry. Getting caught with a short right hook on her cheek as she tries to move back into space.

Mia uses the opening to pound in a jab/right cross combo to the face of Cara. Who soon finds herself being herded around near the ropes. Cara still landing a few crisp combos into the face and body of Mia, the power punches coming from Kang as there is some swelling around the right eye of Cara forming.

Late in the round Mia misses with a sweeping left hook. Instead an overhand right smacks her on the chin. Cara lands a follow up jab then a straight to push Mia to her heels. Mia finding herself pinned to the ropes as Cara slugs away. The round comes to a close with Mia pushing Cara back. The referee gets between them as things are getting heated. Both cool off enough to return to their corners.

Round 4:
It looks like Mia is still miffed how the last round ended. She is missing with some more wilder shots, earning her a right on the chin again to snap her head back. Cara lands a flurry that backs Mia to the ropes. The Chinese star needing to hold onto Cara. Referee breaking them apart as the fighters stare daggers at each other.

A right catches Mia on her nose to open her up to a left hook on that jaw. Cara is starting to dig her toes into the canvas and really swing through her hips to knock back Mia. Who tries to hold on but an uppercut wobbles her legs. LEFT HOOK TO THE EAR SENDS MIA STUMBLING DOWN TO ALL FOURS!

Cara walks to the neutral corner with her arms in the air as she gets a loud cheer. 1....2....3.....4... Mia trying to push to her feet. 5....6... Her legs are jelly as she stumbles back to her face. 7....8.. Groaning as her eyes are shut. 9....10 Mia is counted out!

Winner Cara Delevingne KO Round 4

After:
Cara mounts the bottom ropes in the corner she is in to flex her arms as she looks out to the cheering crowd. Her supporters certainly loved that stunning knockout. She hops down and goes over to her corner to give her coach a high five. Looking proud of herself for stopping Mia so quickly.

All the while Mia has to be helped up to her feet by her coach and taken to her stool. She looks bitterly disappointed in herself as she says "f**k" while staring at the canvas. Mia is checked over by the ringside doctor and given the all clear thankfully.

Both women are cleaned up by their corners with Mia's coach trying to console her. The Delevingne camp is overjoyed as Cara gets an important confidence boost victory. It doesn't help Mia's mood hearing chants for Cara from the crowd.

Mia is helped out the ring as Cara goes to the center for the final result to be announced. Mia with her head down as Cara has hers raised proudly as her left arm is lifted by the referee. Showing how vastly different a win and a loss feels for a fighter in one shot.

For Mia it is back to the drawing board as this is two defeats back to back since losing her stable. While she has the dedication and has shown the talent before. Maybe at thirty four Mia needs to work out quickly how to change things around as time isn't on her side.

Cara meanwhile has had false dawns before for the popular fighter. It will be interesting to see if she can truly build off this victory or will she continue being a gatekeeper for the future elite fighters to knock over? For now Cara is enjoying the moment as she hugs a few people at ringside on her way to the back.
