Intro:
A British clash up ahead as Florence Pugh and Millie Bobby Brown look to test each other out tonight here in Madison Square Garden. Florence seeking to push herself back firmly in title contention. While Millie looks to get back towards the promised land of the flyweight championship for a second time.

These have both been recognised by some as prodigy's in the ring. Florence more now has to prove she can win the big one, while Millie already has. In Millie's mind it seems judging by the pace of her early career that she wants to become the youngest Hall of Famer in history we she nearly has thirty fights already at the grand age of nineteen!

In the media area Florence gave her thoughts on the fight to FCBA Networks Alicia Atout. Florence wore a white t-shirt with blue denim jeans and black heels. Telling Alicia "I am buzzing for this one. You can see the goosebumps on my arms as I have heard all the hype around Millie. The young phenom of the flyweights. I am here to test that out."

Florence smiles as she continues "to be clear I do respect you Millie. You have done a lot and even done more then me. Fact is though that I am not some old has been, I am the real deal and I will prove I deserve to be recognised as a contender right now and not someone who may be back in contention in months." Alicia nodding as she sees how much this means to Florence after being on the outside of conversations on the title.

Millie meanwhile is asked outside her stables locker room about the fight. Millie removes her headphones as she carries her gear in her backpack. Wearing a red sleeved white t-shirt, black jeans and black trainers. Millie answers "oh Florence is going to be a lot of fun. I have met her a few times and she is always a laugh. I have watched the videos of her fights and she looks very skillful but I have proven I am not scared of anyone."

Putting her right hand on the locker room door handle. Millie adds "once that bell rings she will need to deal with my skill. I am here on one of the biggest stages of my career in a legendary venue, I have shown I am not afraid of anyone or any situation." Nodding to Alicia before she opens the door and heads in.

Fighting time! First to come out is Florence with her coach Gillan Anderson. Florence smiles as she walks to the ring wearing a white sports bra with black trim. Matching trunks and shoes, black gloves, while her hair is in a ponytail. Florence bangs her gloves together as she stands in her corner after stepping into the ring.

Millie doesn't make her wait long as Millie heads down the aisle with her coach Julie Benz. Millie also is smiling as both these young woman are excited for this one. Millie is wearing a navy blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair is in a ponytail. She climbs into the ring and gets a loud cheer like her opponent did both are very popular.

The fighters jogs to the center of the ring. Listening to the referee chat, both shake their arms to keep loose as they look hard into their opponents eyes. Respectfully the touch gloves before walking to their corners. Both look to take a breath before the bell dings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Both women come out testing each other out to start. Millie dancing back when Florence steps in to keep the space between them. Florence dipping down to test the abs of Millie, getting caught with a few short hooks to make her retreat back as they start to open up more.

A missed straight by Millie allows Florence to counter with a jab under her chin. Millie finds herself back towards the ropes. Florence is starting to land more two punch combos, out working Millie around the ring as the taller woman is being caught with straight punches in gaps of her defence.

Late in the round Millie is starting to time her punches out her guard better, slamming several punches into the face of Florence. With Florence backing off as she doesn't want to be caught out, maybe showing too much respect to her opponent. Both go toe to toe near the middle of the second as the ten second buzzer sounds. Leather slams hard onto flesh as they grunt out with effort. The round ends with both nodding to their opponent before jogging back to their corners, getting a feel of the test in front of them.

Round 2:
Warmed up now to the task, they are landing more combos to kick off the round. Florence lands some crisp body shots before being nudged back. A double jab slams into her face as she tries to step in with a right. Millie starting to push back Florence with a jab/straight into her face.

Florence is now the one fighting off the back foot as she is being pressed around the ring. When she can get inside to work the body, Millie nudges her back and then lands cross punches to get the gap back where she wants it. Florence is getting to see why Millie has emerged as an elite fighter so quickly.

Before Millie can get too confident, an overhand left lands on her cheek to twist her head. Florence using the opening to press back Brown into the ropes, she swings at the body of the Lookout! Fighter to make her grunt. Millie manages to force back Florence and both exchange in the dying moments of the round. Both sitting on their stools with eyes locked as they are determined.

Round 3:
Pushing off their stools to resume. They exchange more in closer as Florence is looking to up the tempo. Both women driving their punches through their opponents guards to test their chins. A left hook catches Florence on her cheek to make her retreat back. Before Millie can pin her down, Florence shows good movement to dodge and get into space.

In comes Millie but she gets caught out with a jab under her chin to knock her head back. Florence comes in with a nudge with her left forearm. AN UPPERCUT CATCHES MILLIE ON HER CHIN TO DROP HER ONTO HER BACKSIDE!

Florence walks over to the neutral corner tapping her gloves together. 1....2....3... Millie shakes her head to clear her vision. 4....5....6... Millie then pushed to her right knee. 7....8.. Millie gets back up to her feet, fists raised as she looks more annoyed then hurt that she was put down.

They resume with Millie boxing more defensively. Florence gets caught a few times as she looks to close the gap to keep the pressure on. Soon the bell rings to end the round with Florence making a statement that she can put Millie down. Millie gets told from Julie to be more careful.

Round 4:
Florence looks relaxed as she is starting to throw in some flurries. Millie forced right away to back up to the outside part of the ring. Millie slinging in straight punches when she isn't moving side to side. Both catching their opponent through guards into faces as both are marked up.

Sweat is coating both women's bodies and brows now. Millie is looking better then the last round till she is caught with a left hook on her jaw before a straight lands on her lips. Florence keeps the heat on her foe as she presses her against the ropes. Millie grabs hold of Florence before she lets the blonde get off too many punches.

Back at it they go when broken up. Florence digging in her toes to the canvas as she throws punches to add extra sting to them. Millie keeping on the move to stop Florence getting set on her punches. The end of the round comes with Millie not so happy how things are going, needing to tell her to focus on what she can change going forwards.

Round 5:
Florence looking to keep the pressure on her foe. Stepping in with a few body shots but getting caught with several punches back into her face. Millie boxing on the outside when she can get control. Marking up the face of the blonde as she dances side to side.

A mistimed charge by Pugh leaves her open to a counter right across her face after Millie sidesteps to Florence's left. A left hook follows onto the cheek of Florence to open her up to a straight on her nose to cause some blood to trickle.

Holding the middle of the ring, Millie driving her punches into the face and chest of Florence. Who is firing back but is getting outworked. Groans coming from the Marvel star when she gets caught on her nose to make her tighten her guard up. The bell dings with Millie jogging back to her corner looking to have her spark back. Florence wipes her nose with the back of her left glove, Gillian works on patching her nose up.

Round 6:
Jogging back out to resume; Florence changing levels early on as she looks to step up a gear. Millie moves back and lands a double jab into the forehead of her opponent to knock her head back. Both struggling to grab a real foothold in the opening minute as they go back and forth.

Florence crouches under a left hook and lands an overhand right to the cheek of her opponent. Florence presses back Millie to the ropes, roughing her up with little nudges when Millie looks to fight her way off the ropes. Millie needing to grab hold of Florence in a tight clinch. Both fighters grinding bodies till they are broken apart.

Both women trading stiff punches in the final minute of the round. Florence wincing when her nose gets caught again, she toughs it out to slam in punches under the chin of Brown to push her back a step. The round comes to a close with both fighters with a few loose strands of hair sticking to their cheeks as they eye each other up. Sitting on their stools with their chests rising a little faster as they get cleaned up.

Round 7:
Both slam in more stiff punches through guards as they open up more. Flurries being exchanged as they try to grab a firm control of this round. A left cross catches Florence on her nose to bring a few tears to her eyes, Florence missing with a left hook as she tries to catch Millie out. Problem for her is Millie wasn't following in as she stayed patience. Instead a right hook catches the overbalanced Pugh on her temple to make her stumble two steps forwards.

Momentum is firmly behind Millie as she steps in and cracks in a straight followed by a left hook to send Florence onto the ropes. Millie banging away at her through her guard as Gillan is shouting at her fighter to battle back into this. FINALLY A LEFT HOOK SMASHES FLORENCE ACROSS HER FACE TO SEND HER CRUMBLING TO HER BACK!

Millie walks to the neutral corner with a quick breath as she has her hands on her hips. 1....2....3.....4... Florence's chest is rising but her eyes are shut as she lays spread eagle near the ropes. 5....6....7... Gillan is banging the ring apron to try to coax Florence awake. 8....9....10 but Florence has her lights out as she is counted out!

Winner Millie Bobby Brown KO Round 7

After:
Millie with a big win as she raises her arms in the air and shuts her eyes as she looks to the heavens. She walks back to her corner to give Julie a tired looking hug. Millie certainly was worked over to get this victory as Julie tells her how proud she is of the young woman.

All the while Florence needs Gillan using smelling salts to try to bring her back to reality. Florence splutters as she wakes up. Holding her jaw with her right glove before she is helped to sit up. Her nose is plugged up with tissue paper as she fires back tears.

Over comes Millie to check on Florence. There's a few tense words as Florence at first looks a little suspect at Millie, till Millie puts out her right fist and Florence nods as she replies with a fist bump with her left. Both nod to each other as they respect one another, whether they will be going out for cocktails together is another matter.

For now though Gillan decides she'd prefer Florence checked over. Helped out the ring and to the back. Florence will need to shake this defeat off and focus on getting herself back into title contention. She keeps getting close in these major bouts, it's just finishing the job at times that has let her down. For her fans you hope that next year she can remove that chip off her shoulder and bring home gold.

In the ring Millie gets her right hand raised by the referee. She thanks the fans as her name is chanted. Millie blows a few kisses to the nearest camera as she is so close to thirty fights and she is not even twenty yet. It is frankly scary how good this phenom is.

Leaving the ring with Julie to her right. Millie has a date with the undefeated Dafne Keen in a few short weeks, two big questions being how much did this bout take out of Brown? While has Dafne got the skills to be at the level of a Millie? We will find out soon but for now Millie will look to relax and recover.
