Intro:
Intriguing bout up next as Miley Cyrus looks for her first victory in 2023 against hometown girl Madison Beer as we step into New York City. Madison Square Garden hosts the battle of song birds as these two singers look for an important victory to kick their careers back into gear.

The fighters took to social media to share their thoughts on the contest. Miley posted "god I thought Madison Beer had quit after being tossed out the Lookout! Stable, turns out she still thinks she is a fighter. Well Madison when I beat you... Well you can kiss my ass in front of all your supporters as you are wasting my time." Harsh words towards the youngster from the veteran.

Madison fires back "really Miley? God what made me sign the contract to fight you? I mean really you are going down the rankings like a lead ballon. All that f**king you do for exercise isn't working anymore clearly. I am going to remind people why is New Yorkers are the toughest people you will ever meet!"

Fight Night! Miley comes out first to boos from the New York crowd. Her Anne Hathaway looks a little worried that Miley might not get out of the arena okay if she wins. Miley of course isn't shy as she blows kisses to the crowd from the ring apron. Getting inside the ring wearing a white sports bra, matching shorts, shoes and gloves, her hair is in a ponytail. Miley struts around the inside of the ring like she owns it before settling into her corner waving Madison to come out to fight.

She doesn't have long to wait as Madison heads out to a loud roar. She is smiling warmly as she bounces on her toes at the top of the aisle, roaring "let's go!" As she marches down the aisle. She steps into the ring and fist bumps her coach. Madison is wearing a grey sports bra with thin navy blue stripes, matching trunks and shoes, metallic blue gloves and her hair is braided as she channels Yankee colours. She stares daggers at Miley as the older woman grins at her.

The fighters walk to the middle of the ring for the final instructions to be told to them. Miley is told by Madison "welcome to New York!" As Miley just laughs at her. They do bump fists with some extra force causing a crack of leather. Jogging back to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out they come exchanging stiff jabs to start off but before the ten seconds mark Miley dips down to rifle in a jab/straight combo to the chest of Madison to make her take a step back with a hiss. Miley looks to be the aggressor as Madison catches her with several punches as she comes in. Several combos smack back into the younger woman's face and chest as Cyrus is forcing the issue.

A missed straight by Beer as the veteran slips the punch and buries a left hook on the cheek of Madison. Who soon finds herself crowded back on the ropes as Miley swings in hooks and uppercuts. Madison covers up after taking several clean shots across her face. Miley gets a few single punches back into her own face, she looks content to take a few hits if it means she can bully her opponent.

Pushing off Miley so she can move off the ropes. Madison looks angry, still she is being outworked as she looks off her game at the moment. The early pressure from Cyrus seems to be getting to her. A right cross though does catch Miley clean to her nose to remind her not to get overly confident here. The round comes to an end with Miley happy enough judging by her smirk as she heads to her corner. Madison curses under her breath as she returns to her own corner.

Round 2:
It looks like the advice from her coach has helped Madison keep her cool as she doubles up her jab to start this round. Bashing Miley up the middle to her face as the former finds a sterner test to her charging tactics. Miley's cheeks are marking up as Madison has some pep behind her straight shots.

Of course Miley shows her experience to time her attacks, deflecting a jab to step in with a short left into the belly of Madison. A short right hook lands on the cheek of the former Lookout! Fighter to turn her head. Back onto the ropes goes Beer as Cyrus throws piston like shots to the stomach, trying to wear down her opponent. Madison lands several body shots back but needs to hold onto her foe to force the referee to break them up. Allowing Madison to move off the ropes into space.

When they resume Madison catches Miley with a right cross to the forehead, followed by a left hook to the jaw. Miley finding herself being the one now pounded back into a neutral corner. Less then twenty seconds to go and Miley is shelling up. Madison thuds some clean shots in amongst her flurries. At the bell Madison marches back to her corner looking fired up. While Miley still looks confident even after being pushed around there.

Round 3:
The momentum has shifted judging how Madison is now the one quicker off the mark. Her punches are finding a home through Miley's guard to her face. Miley is firing back but hasn't the hand speed to match her opponent. A double jab is followed by a straight to snap back Miley's head and force her onto her heels before the end of the first minute.

Miley needing to swing back from near the ropes, not wanting to be pinned down again. Soon there is a cut on the left eyebrow of Miley as Madison shows some bite to her punches. Miley looking somewhat worried for the first time in the fight. She covers up more tightly and finds herself being caught with more hooks to the body as Madison is looking to now be fully in her rhythm.

Late in the round Miley shows her own bite as she catches Madison on the chin with a right hook as Beer drops her left hand too low. A jab is soon followed by another right hook as Miley grunts with effort to push back Madison. Soon they are in close slugging it out as this is a tense battle of wills. The bell dings with Miley pushing back Madison, showing some fury as she wipes some blood off her brow as a trickle runs around her eye, luckily it doesn't seem to be running into it as her coach works on patching her up.

Round 4:
Smelling the way the fight is turning against her. Miley is starting to use her left forearm more to get inside to work and throw Madison off balance. It becomes more of a scruff affair as Madison looks to stand her ground instead of using her footwork to create space. Leather cracking on skin is mixed in with the sounds of grunts and groans.

An uppercut catches Madison out and soon she finds herself being crowded back to a neutral corner. Where Miley works her body and switches up top when Madison swings back over. Madison needing to grab hold of Miley's arms as she can't get out the corner.

Once they are apart and Madison is out the corner. Both exchange combos as Madison listens to her coach and is moving more on her toes around the ring. Miley not enjoying one bit that cut getting hit as she keeps crying out. The round soon comes to an end with both women walking back to their corners looking fired up. It was a better round for Miley as Anne tells her "good job!" Still she looks sore. Madison meanwhile nods to her coach as she listens to them. She isn't getting overawed by the occasion.

Round 5:
The crowd is roaring on Madison as they resume fighting. Every clean punch that smacks square into Miley's face is met with a rousing cheer. Every punch from Miley with a boo as the atmosphere is electric. Miley starting to make mistakes as she tries to push the pace and is getting hit with several counters flush across her face. One counter right buries itself into her stomach to make Cyrus gasp out.

Miley looks hurt as she takes a step back. Madison has her name chanted as she pounds in a beautiful jab/straight combo to the face of Miley to knock her backwards. Pinned back to the ropes. Miley is being hammered by shots from a very motivated Beer. A right hook wobbles the legs of Miley as she has her eyes shut. SHE DOESN'T SEE THE LEFT HOOK ON HER EAR THAT SENDS HER CRUMBLING DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE!

The downed fighter rolls to her back with her right arm hanging out the ropes as her gumshield is out on the canvas next to her. 1....2....3....4... The crowd are on their feet cheering as Madison smiles as she looks around. 5....6....7... The count now counting along with the referee as Miley isn't moving. 8....9....10 it looked a formality as Miley Cyrus is knocked out cold!

Winner Madison Beer KO Round 5

After:
Madison turns to the crowd and raises her arms in the air as she gives out a loud roar. They are applauding, whistling and cheering her as they know how big a result this could be for her going forwards. Madison jogs to her coach to hug her coach. Relieved to have won in front of her home crowd.

It can't be forgotten about Miley, her coach rushes into the ring to check her over. Anne using smelling salts to bring her around, Miley blinking at her looking a little loss at what happened. She is helped under the ropes to sit on the apron as the ringside doctor checks her over. Miley soon comes fully around but still the doctor wants to check her over in the medical area in the back.

Miley is nearly the forgotten woman apart from a few choice words from those in the front row as she is helped to the back. Miley looks at the ground as she doesn't want to acknowledge those around her. Another defeat for her certainly wasn't how she wanted to end this year. She still has one chance on the PPV, how confident can she be going into that clash?

In the ring Madison gets her right hand raised by the referee to a loud response from the crowd. She nods to them as she fights back tears. Being told to go enjoy the cheers, Madison leaves the ring and goes to hug family members at ringside, high five fans and get some selfies for fans to remember. Looking a real star here in her home town.

Walking up the aisle; Madison blows kisses to the crowd before she heads to the back. While it has been far from a perfect year for her, Madison has certainly not let that get her down as she looks to try to fulfil the potential she was deemed to have when she came in celebrity female boxing.
