intro:
It is main event time and the FCBA lightweight title is up for grabs. We are here in Beijings Wukesong Arena with the first FCBA title fight in this country. Stana Katic has been the face of the jaguar division since its inception. She takes on Dua Lipa, who is on the run of her life getting to be a world champion and having beaten the current ACB lightweight champion Yvonne Strahovski and the former FCBA lightweight champion Lily James, which one of these two amazing fighters is going home with the gold?

As always with these big title fights there was a press conference to build up to the fight. The stage was set with both women coming on from opposite sides as journalists and some fans got to watch it from the floor in the conference room. Dua wore a black dress with matching heels as the title proud sat on her waist. Stana meanwhile wore a white dress with matching heels as she smiles and waves to the crowd. That's till they come together and face off with fists raised for the cameras. After that they share a nod of respect before they walk to separate ends of the stage as a podium is brought onto the center where they just were.

First to the podium walks Stana to speak. "I just want to say that I'm incredibly humbled to be given this opportunity, and I want Dua and the rest of the world to know that I'm not taking it for granted. Win or lose, I'm going to prove that I belong here. When I signed on with the CWF a year and a half ago, you never could have convinced me that I'd end up here. Honestly. It's a testament to Natascha's faith in me, our trainers, and the rest of the girls in my Stable that I'm here. This is a Lightweight Title shot for every single one of us. I never once expected to be standing in the ring with a chance to be the best Lightweight in the world at the end of the night, but I'm going to try and make everyone behind me proud". Stana flushes at the end of her prepared statement; still expecting someone to pinch her and wake up with it all being a dream.

Looking towards Dua; "I don't care if it's cliche or unconventional, but I want to thank you personally for giving me this chance. But after all this, it's business. I won't be humbly looking up at you once the bell rings. Now that the opportunity is here, I won't be throwing it away. I will be walking out the Champion. I hope that attitude is exactly why you chose me". Katic smiles as she gets a nod from Dua to show the Champion is ready for her to bring her best.

Dua comes to the podium after Stana vacates it with the title firmly in her grip over her right shoulder after taking it off her waist. She tells the press "I know there might be a few curious why I chose Stana for this title shot. You see how much this means to her, she has never truly gotten the respect she deserves and while of course I am not here to make her dreams come true. I at least hope by the end of the night that those who doubt her change their mind." Stana looks to appreciate the message from Dua as she smiles warmly.

The champion then adds "she has made the jaguar title a meaningful belt in such a short space of time. That is the biggest reason she has earned my respect and this title shot. As you said Stana, once that bell rings it is all about this title. I want you to bring your best and lets see which of us will carry this belt towards the new year as the best in this division." Dua leaves the podium and goes to Stana with the offer of a hand shake. Stana accepts the hand shake with both smiling before they depart the stage on separate sides, knowing when they step into the ring all the respect will take a back seat to becoming the best in the world.

Fight Night! First to come out is Stana with her coach Natascha McElhone; Stana is wearing a white thong and a white bandeau top to go with her gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as the gear is what the challenger requested. She looks confident in it as she steps into the ring bare foot. Tapping her gloves as she stands in her corner with Natascha telling her she has got this. Showing the confidence she has in Stana.

Out comes the champion with Giselle Bundchen holding up the FCBA title as she leads out Dua. Who doesn't look too shy as she wears a lime green string bikini and gloves, hair braided, maybe trying to prove a point to Stana about her request. Dua climbs into the ring with a wave to the crowd before she shadow boxes in her corner. Giselle handing the title to the referee before she fist bumps Dua when returning to her corner.

The referee holds the title up as both women walk to the middle of the ring. Stana has a look at the title, with Dua telling her "you have to earn that remember." Stana smiles as she looks back at the champion. They bump fists with a little extra firmness then probably needed, the title is all that matters now. They are back in their corners ready as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of FCBA lightweight title bout action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" The fighters come out with both looking intense as they exchange stiff jabs. Stana is stepping in trying to land around the body of Dua, who dances around up on her toes looking to keep the range where she wants it as they trade. Dua lands a left cross on the temple to make Stana take a step back before rifling a straight into her face.

Changing tactics now as she holds the center ground. Dua showing early on what made her reach the level of champion as she switches her targets up. Stana fighting off the back foot, she is getting out worked in the exchanges. Stana moving more side to side to try to create a way to escape away from the ropes being behind her.

Covering up more and throwing more single punches as they enter the final stages of the round. Stana isn't looking too confident at the bell. Walking to her corner banging her gloves together. Natascha telling her to take a breath to keep cool as Dua simply stares at her from her stool across the ring.

Round 2:
Coming out being more forceful in her attacks. Stana is drilling her punches more into the lips and chest of Dua to make her back off. Dua back on her bike as she lands single punches off the back foot. Both women looking fully warmed up when they both land some meaty hooks when they plant their feet.

A straight lands flush into Dua's face. The champion finds herself being corralled into a neutral corner as Katic bangs away at the toned body of Lipa. Dua tries to fight back in close, the problem is she hasn't the room to load up and is forced to clinch up. The fighters break apart at the request of the referee, showing the respect between the boxers is still there.

Dua manages to get her rhthym going. Stana is still landing with her and forcing Dua to be the one moving around near the ropes. Crowd whistling and cheers both women on as the punches of the fighters land on each others cheeks, the sound of leather on flesh cracking around them.

At the bell Stana looks to have evened the score cards up. Stana looks more relaxed as she returns to her corner. Dua on the other hand sits down shaking her head as she can't hide her annoyance at herself. Giselle telling her to shake off this round and focus on the next.

Round 3:
If Dua was in any doubts about the fight she was going to get; Stana is proving what a test she is by stepping inside with a few hooks banging at the ribs of the singer to make her groan. Dua gives her a nudge before landing a double jab into the forehead of the challenger. Dua bounces on her toes around Stana trying to keep her from being able to charge forwards.

An overhand left catches out Dua as it lands on her cheek. Stana showing her muscle to power back Dua into the ropes. Again she is looking to pound the body of the British fighter to wear her out. Dua nudges her back with her left forearm before landing a short right hook to her jaw to fight Stana off of her.

Both women open up more as they exchange around the center of the ring. Dua knows she can't let her foot off the gas pedal as Stana is matching her swing for swing. At the end of the round both women stop and stare each other down. Without saying a word they are telling their opponent that they won't be leaving with the title.

Round 4:
Dua doubling up her jab as she looks to keep Stana back at range. Dancing around the older woman as she doesn't want a repeat of the last two rounds. Stana manages to slip a jab to pound in a short left hook around the abs of the younger boxer to make her groan out. Dua lands a sweeping left hook to the cheek of Stana to show her she won't back off easily as both are landing some heavy leather.

A straight soon catches Stana on her nose to bring a tear to her eyes. Dua follows with a jab/uppercut combo to knock back the challenger to her heels. Stana finding herself crowded to the ropes as Dua throws in hooks around her torso and cheeks. Stana fires back to the body of Lipa till she needs to hang onto her to get the referee this time to break them up. Showing the need for the title is great then playing completely to the rules.

Resuming with Stana getting in closer to Dua. Both women dig away to each others bodies. A thin sheen of sweat coats their bodies as they both hiss when they are hit. The round comes to an end with both marching back to their corners. Each boxer knows they are in a tough contest, any doubts they had it would be are firmly gone now.

Round 5:
Sometimes they are hitting each others gloves as they try to overpower each other. Stana dips under a straight to rifle in a straight of her own to the belly button of Dua. Who cries out as she bends slightly, a left/right hook combo lands on the cheeks of Dua to send some sweat flying off.

Pressing Dua back onto the ropes. Stana is starting to land more punches over the top to the cheeks of the singer. Dua fires back with punches of her own but this time she is the one who needs to clinch up. Bodies being grinded together in the clinch before they are pushed apart.

Before Stana can get overly confident, a double jab lands on her cheeks to make her back off. Dua looking to be more aggressive as Stana now gets on her bike to move and strike. The bell dings to end proceedings, Stana reminding some pundits at ringside why she was a champion herself only recently. Dua though is staring with the same intensity she had at the start of the contest.

Round 6:
Stana steps out her corner looking to keep the heat on Dua; they exchange in close with smacks of leather ringing out. Dua catches Stana with a right hook on her chin as Stana leaves her left that little bit too low. Back goes Stana as Dua looks to pound her face in. A mouse forming under the left eye of Katic comes from a right hook bashing across it.

Moving around with the ropes behind her, Stana is fighting hard to keep from being pinned on them. Dua though looks to be landing the harder punches as she digs her toes into the canvas when she swings. It doesn't help that Stana has the swelling around her eye as each time it is hit Stana cries out.

But Dua can't quite pin down Stana. Who catches Dua with an overhand left on the jaw after she crouches under a right hook. Dua finding herself now driven across the ring onto the other set of cables. Dua shelling up as Stana looks to pound her body.

"Ding!" The round ends with both women walking to their corners with sweat dripping off their brows. Stana's left eye is worked upon by her corner crew. While Dua spits out some blood that looks to have come from a cut on the inside of her right hook, her body has some red marks on it too. Neither is holding back on each other in this hard fought contest.

Round 7:
Again doubling up her jab to start, aiming several of them at Stana's breasts. Dua is starting to get out the gates quicker. Still Stana is finding ways to step inside, with some of it due to her footwork, others down to deflecting punches as Stana is proving herself an elite fighter in this bout.

Dua though catches her with a right cross around that swollen eye. Stana cries out as she retreats back. Dua smells blood in the water as she drives Stana into her own corner. Natascha is yelling at her fighter to hold on as hooks pin her in. Stana grabs hold of Dua as both women exchange a few unpleasant words before the referee pulls them apart.

Blinking to try to clear her left eye. Stana is boxing off the back foot in a defensive manner to try to sort herself out. Dua pounding forwards with hooks, wanting to end this now. Problem for Dua is that she is missing with as much as she lands. The bell rings to end the round with Stana's corner quick to work on that eye to reduce the swelling. While the Girls Friday corner are wiping Dua down, Dua's chest is rising faster as the pace of the fight is now starting to show on her.

Round 8:
Back out they come with Dua again sticking to her game plan of the double jabs. Stana though isn't in the mood to stay back with her deflecting aside a jab to ram home a left into the nose of Dua. They exchange in close but Dua is thrown off her balance and a right lands flush into her stomach to make her gasp.

Back to the ropes goes Dua with her bum visibly flexing each time she is hit flush to the body. Dua trying to swing back but being beaten back. Giselle is yelling at her fighter to hold onto Stana. INSTEAD ANOTHER POUNDING RIGHT THAT LOOKS TO HAVE DUG INTO THE LIVER AREA OF DUA SENDS THE CHAMPION DOWN TO THE CANVAS ON ALL FOURS!

Dua rolls to her left side in the fetal position as Stana stares down at her with no remorse. Referee nudges Stana to the neutral corner so the count can begin. 1....2....3....4... The mouthpiece of Dua is spat out as she lays on her side. 5....6....7... Dua can be heard sobbing as there is still half the round to go and she doesn't seem to be moving more. 8....9....10 Dua Lipa is counted out!

Winner and new FCBA lightweight champion! Stana Katic KO Round 8

After:
Stana looks stunned as she sees the count has reached ten. Her gloves come up to her face as she starts to cry tears of joy. Almost embarrassed by doing so as Natascha rushes into the ring and over to her fighter. Giving Stana a big hug as she yells "you did it!! You did it!!" With Stana thanking her so much for the belief she placed in her when she signed her up to her stable.

All the while Giselle climbs into the ring with an ice pack. Placing it on Dua's stomach as Giselle cries. Seeing the woman who she helped reach the pinnacle, lose it all here tonight. Caressing the hair of Dua who is catching her breath with red cheeks.

Up to a kneeling position a good few minutes later comes Dua as she wipes her tits away after her gloves are taken off. She looks heartbroken as she looks to see Stana giving out high fives in her corner. Her moment in the sun is over as the era of Katic has begun as the face of the division.

Over comes the new champion when she sees Dua is up to her feet. Stana says "thank you so much for this chance, I am truly sorry it was you I had to beat." Dua nods and pats Stana on her right shoulder. Replying "I'd hug you but my body is a little sore." Showing there is no hard feelings between them.

Dua soon leaves the ring with help. This has certainly been a rollercoaster year for Dua. Starting the year with a title loss, she went to the BBU to rebuild herself and came back to the FCBA to claim the gold. Now she is back to being the hunter, will Dua finish the year off strong or will this knock her out of kilter completely?

All that matters inside the ring is the title being wrapped around the waist of Stana to loud cheers. She gets her left arm raised in victory as she has more tears welling up in her eyes. Telling the cameras "thank you to all my fans. For all your support that got me here and to help me win this." Tapping the title on her waist. Stana has the crowd applauding her along with her coaching crew.

Soon enough they leave the ring with Natascha telling Stana "the hard work begins now." Stana smiling as she replies "you know I don't hide from hard work." This feels a long time coming, a fighter who probably should have been in the FCBA nearly two decades ago now is on top of the lightweight division. She is also the oldest first time world champion in FCBA history. What is next for the new champion?
