Before: Must-win bout for both fighters as Malu’s sitting on the extreme end of bantamweight title eligibility thanks mostly to how good the fighters she’s lost to this year have been. Meanwhile, Amanda has been skyrocketing up the bantamweight rankings since her debut in January, a win here could see these two trading places in the yearend standings. In addition, the prospect of a playoff with Demi Rose for a hypothetical Mendes fifth defense can no longer be discounted. “I’m just focusing on the fight in front of me,” Trivizas insists. “Malu’s too good to do anything else.”

Ringpost in sand setup. Amanda enters first, in a sheer fleshtone onepeice with a brass ring just over her cleavage connecting to a choker leaving her shoulders bare, black gloves, hair loose and long down her back, brushing her bethonged buttocks as she dips through the ropes. Brisk, tense exchanges with girls getting off about as hard as they can: each buffeted off stance at times, forced to cover up/regroup. Final minute, Malu breaks the stalemate. First: sharp one-two preempts an Amanda right: Belicena's punch sails as knees corkscrew - auguring her into the ropes! Crowd roaring to it's feet: Trevejo quickly upon Trivizas at the ropes, POUNDING THOSE JUGS! Amanda dazed - hair across her eyes, lips parted as Malu jams away crisscross, straight left/rights. Trivizas’s jugs bunching up under the rack-jacking of a lifetime: Trevejo just hup-hup-hupping - back straight; lips pursed; eyes squinting; bethonged buttocks ringing as she hustles in the hurt. Bell: Malu banks a little insurance, prompting a squeal of outrage from shellshocked Amanda. Ref pulls Trevejo away by her elbow; scolds her.

R2: Amanda hurting, but enraged, bares her teeth, unleashes wide, heavy swings to temporarily chase Malu away. Trevejo showing good mobility - on her toes as she scoots out of range all jugs a-jumpin', then walking purposefully to her right, turning Trivizas’s left flank. Malu jabs penetrate to jug and face - spanking Amanda onto the defensive: crouching forward in crossed arm, grimly trying to edge forward. By the midway point, Trivizas's back in command: knocking her jab or measuring straight rights off Trevejo's hairline; hooking shivering whacks behind right elbow; belting vicious right roundhouses in behind left elbow. Malu grimacing, inching forward: chest is covered up, but her forward leaning head is available for crisply-curled Amanda uppercuts, bouncing either hand off Cubana's forehead. Both fighters showing the ability to punch off either foot, and stepping back in good order to walk the other in. Big, banging second goes in the bank for Trivizas as curvy Latinas hammering out victory one minute at a time.

R3: They're stepping directly to each other - bumping guards - digging hooks/chucking right hands. Tight, tasty, professional delivery - one girl covering up as the other bounces gloves off tight torso/toned arms/protected head. Each girl loving to dig hooks in behind the right elbow of the other - working the paunch, stoving in those ribs. Vicious back and forth swapping, until midway through, Malu chips a little nuisance left uppercut to pick Amanda up a smidge, then BURIES the left hook deep to liver. Trivizas sobbing out "G-AHHH!" doubling up, hugging her body, backing away! Trevejo fierce, shouting "JUST QUIT" as she’s moving in to finish along the ropes. Give her credit: Amanda edges in snug with left shoulder to Malu's chest, banging hooks to body and short right hands to head at close range. Trivizas drops a big 10-8, but she's coming forward by the bell.

R4: Midring - girls flat footed, crouching, rotating gently clockwise. They paw jabs, then try for heavy right hands. They lead hooks, then look to double up with the left uppercut in close. Fighters start at medium distance, but lean in close - both girls dipping inside before getting off snug. Minute mark, Amanda bounces a tart one-two off Malu's guard; Trevejo dips that left shoulder, answers back a hook before Trivizas's hook can land and AMANDA'S DOWN! Trivizas punched to her glutes, sitting up all astonished after recoiling from Cuban thunder. Malu pounding her chest, hooting down "JACKPOT, BABY!" in the current parlance of the LA gyms. Wobbly 8, Amanda, but she rallies nicely. First: steady pocket defence at the ropes sees her dip and roll, countering effectively to Trevejo's midsection, steadily discouraging Cubana finishing run. Then, when Malu's breathing hard - Amanda reaches in under those arms, chests her back to midring, but stays half-clinched with the left arm around Trevejo's back. Trivizas working thick-n'-cheap - plugging right hands into Malu's tummy. Trevejo grimacing, squirms to join in - threading her left arm under Trivizas's right and around her back. Girls work at each other - stuffing right hands in above hips or up into bellies&breasts - each pushing and steering with the left shoulder; each grunting upon meaty receipt. Trivizas surprises here, walking Malu around a bit, getting the better of stuffing trade to come back strong from the knockdown.

R5: Ramshackle beauties slouch to midring: girls in aching crouches, each showing crossed-arm look to protect creaking ribs. Edging in with left shoulders, fighters go mindless - each just seeking to bump-n'-slug at close quarters. Cuffing left hooks astound either rack - the girls' every instinct directing them to establish early to jug. Tummies pumped, ribs hacked - it's merciless attrition, mouth on shoulder. Stumbling gait as the girls lean into each other for balance - curvy/stocky legs stamping, tired buttocks jostling as fighters dig in, trying to deny each other forward progress. Overall it's Amanda: she's mining quit in Malu's torso, getting the better of grinding trade

R6: Malu leans in, carving a palm-down right across Amanda's torso. Trivizas digs hook-to-liver, lips pressed tight as she shoves it in short. Trevejo back with a little chop-chop left/right hammer-drop sequence to Amanda's jugs, then both girls detonate hooks off offending chins. They circle clockwise, then dive in: Trivizas over the top with a right hand, missing; Trevejo bobbing low, then digging right hands hard to Belicena's ribcage, one, two, three. Amanda grunts on receipt - swipes a tight hook across Malu's temple, buckling Cubana's knees...Trevejo backs away to regroup...Trivizas steps-with and DRIVES HOME RIGHTY! Gorgeous, gambling right hand catches Malu flush, swivelling her head even as she's pulling back. Trevejo's hands drop - face immediately going blank, legs locking up as SHE SPLASHES TO HER BACK! Malu hitting sand, Amanda squealing, stomping around in the vicinity - wastes valuable seconds as ref bodies her back. Trevejo twitching herself awake...rolling over her right side...she gets to her knees...rises...pitches face first into ropes...pulls herself up. Malu swaying in the wind, eyes rolling, head lolling and REF WAVES IT OFF! Trevejo blurting in protest as ref doesn't like what he sees: TKO6 in come-from-behind fashion for Amanda Trivizas!

After: Furious shootout, both fighters fighting a dangerous style but Amanda making it pay - she tears up one of the strongest sturdiest stances on the beach with a furious punching performance. Trivizas treating herself to a tribute, jamming a weepy Trevjo chest first into a turnbuckle, propping the copper-toned left leg over the middle rope and spanking that bethonged backside like there's no tomorrow. Malu clutching turnbuckle and barking out in shock and pain as Amanda takes a clapping tribute out of the vulnerable rump - crowd roaring as Belizan works up a sweat before, during and after this hectic bout.
