Body Paint on the Beach Bout

Before: Malu took a major step up in opposition in 2022, and that came with an expected hit to her winning percentage. It’s unavoidable when your least prestigious foe is former JMD champion Sydney Sweeney. But sending Brie Larson home from the Princess of the beach tourney gets you attention, and coming closer to ending Demi Rose’s beach streak than any fighter this side of a 2018 Demi Lovato is the kind of loss that does you more good than beating a dozen Ava Max’s. And that’s why Malu is making her 2023 debut in a Main Event for her first title fight! “There’s so much you can only learn the hard way in this league, and I learned so much last year! Most importantly, I learned that champions lay out just like everybody else! Demi could barely handle me when it was my third fight of the day. Coming at her fresh? That streak is over! This isn’t just my first title fight, it’s my first title fight of 2023!”

What is there to say about Demi? In sixteen beach bouts she has established herself as the platinum standard by which everyone is measured, and so far fallen short. She’s earned 4 of her 6 titles on the sand, defended them just as ferociously, and so far left all-comers showering off breast and/or booty sand when they come to. “Malu’s special, and she deserved the chance to put herself on display at full strength. She didn’t deserve to have the question hanging over her head. After she loses tonight, she’ll know her body didn’t betray her, it just wasn’t good enough to beat me!”

Ringposts-in-sand setup. The nature of a body-paint bout means neither fighter can wear a robe for their entrance. Malu comes out first, silver paint halter and thong with white painted handprints over her breasts and glutes, white gloves, sporting the twin thick braids that younger fighters are favoring this year. Demi enters in a painted silver-filigree spider-web top, forming into a gold choker, and royal blue thong bottoms, black gloves, hair still red-honed and cascading loose down to her shoulders. Both fighters barefoot in sand. Fighters wrapping up in a skin-to-skin “no hard feelings” hug when asked to touch gloves.

R1: Malu flat footed on sand, nails Demi early with a short left uppercut, lifting the smaller girl onto her toes and moving her back a couple of steps. Rose undaunted, taking a good shot early, moving her head, coming forward, hooks start to break Trevejo down as Brit plunders midriff out of the crouch. Malu pingponged off the ropes, into Demi’s shoulder, back onto the cables: lather, rinse, repeat; Queen’s fists always pounding. Round ends with Trevejo pinned ropeside by Rose’s left hip, bending over her legs, giving up her sides and midsection underneath. Painted booties side-by-side, Demi forcing Malu into a swaying undulation as she torques her hips to bring the right hand into the challenger’s tummy&tits!

R2: Malu attacking midring, brace of limber, backhand jabs has Demi bobbing and weaving, unable to advance. Trevejo pivoting to her left, turning right flank: shearing in that swift right cross, then shifting weight to back leg to pull supple hooks across, digging in and gripping with her left foot as she turns into the blow. Rose poked, prodded, belted; frequently punched onto her heels as she's bobbing, crossing/uncrossing her arms. Demi fighting her way in close at times: Malu clip-clapping short, brawny little right/lefts, then sidestepping her with a little push behind either elbow: Trevejo staying off the ropes this time.

R3: Demi bobbing and weaving, moving her hands from cross-arm to right hand high, negotiates Malu to the ropes, stays on her and HAMMERS those golden arms, flat tummy and exquisite ribcage, Trevejo soaking it up, rolling, tieing up head and arm on Rose. First half all Demi, Malu shoulder bumping for room: gets a biting little right uppercut to spoil Rose’s hook, then chops the right hand over the top and DEMI SPUTTERS TO THE SAND! Malu stepping away with a big smile, Rose bewildered, takes her 8, then gets plastered face first into the corner, Trevejo erases good consistent pressure with one nice combo—10-8 round to pull well ahead on the cards!

R4: Demi coming forward, Malu backpedalling, looking to stay off ropes, stopping and potshotting with stinging lead rights, then bailing—but Rose relentless. Demi gobbling flush right hands off her face, grinning back and shouting for more—she’s getting outboxed this round, but shaking off the punishment and putting insane pressure on Malu’s legs and psychology this round.

R5: Demi bobbing in close to twist hooks to the stomach, or chop right hands to the chest. Malu’s worst nightmare, forced into working off the ropes, she’s reduced to trying to clip Rose with uppercuts, holding her hands low at her stomach, trying to keep the punches short—but Demi’s lighting her up. Rose landing well to the jawline, tummy&tits: pounding away in combination, then shoulder-heaving Trevejo back into the ropes for more. Malu coming unraveled, accumulation of head-swiveling hooks on her chin has challenger stupefied at the bell

R6: Malu with fast and loose hands, beats a tune on Demi this round as the Brit plows forward, but can’t get off. Trevejo giving ground up on her toes, but her clever hands poke and slap at Rose’s face and breasts, and wraps her up in a hip-to-hip blatantly illegal headlock/armbar on the right side to neutralize Demi’s churning inside attacks. Shoutout for Malu as she gives herself a breather this round.

R7: Demi blocks Malu's hook high, answers a hook on the face, steps right, hooks that left eye, Trevjo steps right, hooks Rose’s right back! Malu cold-eyed as she keeps her gloves up, snaps off hooks and right hands, stepping right and hacking down on Demi's head. End of first minute - Trevejo changes up, finally bringing a short, fishook left uppercut onto Rose's chin and squaring the champ's feet up. Demi hurt, but refusing to buckle - she slugs back as she steps forward, brawling left and right crosses bashing Malu back to the ropes. Trevejo leaning back, ducking as Rose wings at the head, coming back with short, powerful left and right uppercuts on the chin - CAULDRON! Fighters wrapped up with left arms around each other’s backs, slugging righty in deadly rhythm, slamming tummy& tits over and over again, woofing into each others ears as they slug it out in this patch of sand! Dying seconds of the round a series of clipping connects finally has Malu staggering back on her heels, Demi stepping with POUNDING rights and lefts at the walk! Trevejo stumbling in drunken S’s, getting nailed and GOES DOWN! Rose trampling over her fallen foe on auto-pilot, bounces off ropes before she heads to the neutral corner. Malu gamely trying to roll onto her side to get up, but she's DONE! KO7 for the winner and STILL Princess of the Beach, DEMI ROSE!

After: Demi removing her gloves to blow big arm-swinging kisses to an adoring audience as trembling Malu is brought 'round. AND ROSE WANTS MORE! Demi snaking the left arm around Malu's head. Trevejo trying to get her right hand up into the headlock, Rose pushing her weight in, doubling Malu over sideways against ropes, easing her into position, then releasing left wrist to wrap the right arm around Trevejo's head. Awkward grip: right side of Malu's face pushed into Demi's rack, but it's not an airtight seal, American’s hands trying to wedge up into the headlock to relieve the pressure. Rose grunting with effort, but losing her grip...she suddenly abandons the headlock to wrap Trevejo up high around the ribcage, crushing her chest to chest in bearhug!

Demi cinching up tight, face exultant with Malu-crushing glee, her jugs demoralizing challenger's jugs with the direct contact. Trevejo starting the slow process of wedging her hands down into the bearhug working hard to reverse the hold, and Rose suddenly abandons it to wrap up the head again! This time, Malu's face is pushed deep to all-conquering cleavage , Demi wrapping up tight and grabbing her own shoulders with the opposite hands. Rose swishing herself side to side while compressing Trevejo tight to rack...she's got her! Hands push at Demi's quivering tummy or dominant hips, then reach up to fist into damp red-brown curls, pulling back hard on the hair. Rose's face tightens in pain as her head's pulled back, but she won't give in, jugs keep pouring it to Trevejo as her grip slowly weakens. Eventually, Malu's hands fall from Demi's hair, champion cinches her grip, stepping forward, easing Trevejo’s backside to the sand, now Rose can push her weight forward more efficiently. Gentle side to side rocking, Demi humming a little nonsensical tune, swaying in a little circle and letting her jugs do the hard work of putting Malu out!

Eventually, Demi pulls the painted pair to the their feet, then releases with a flourish, stepping back as deadweight Malu jack-knifes face-first the sand and spreads out on her tummy. Rose grinning, twirling a finger in her hair as she looks down in fascination, then she places her right foot atop Trevejo's paint&sand covered booty! Demi makes it SEVENTEEN in a row with yet another beach win!
