Intro:
To many this could have been a fight for the trophy at a later point. Instead the schedule has placed Italian stunner Raffaella Modugno and BBU JMDD champion Hailey Clauson against each other out the gate. Both will look to use this as a statement win for their tournament success as they step into the KIA Forum in Los Angeles.

These two have a history that goes back to May of last year. Hailey beat Raffaella in the BBU. That night it took her five rounds to do it. As they say; will it be repeat or revenge tonight when they share the ring together?

As with each of the tournament bouts. Both women were asked to speak their mind to a camera set up in a white room with a stool in. Raffaella was the first to enter the room wearing blue jeans and a black vest top to match her heels. Sitting down with a serious expression.

She begins by saying "too long I have no had the respect I deserve. I have been fighting for the last several years. Nobody has given me a real fair shake at a title. So I will grab this opportunity with both hands and knockout all these bytches who stand in my way." both her fists clenched in front of her to show her point.

"Hailey Clauson is a perfect example of what I mean. She is just a plastic blonde bimbo. I am the real deal, yet she is the one who has been given chance after chance. Finally she wins a title but she won't beat me." Pointing at the camera with her right hand. Not in the mood clearly to be pushed around as she feels she has been.

Hailey on the other hand walks into the room wearing her diamond encrusted JMDD title bra, along with blue denim shorts and black sandals. Her winning smile on show as she has her hair braided. Sitting on the stool with a kiss to the camera to show she is in good spirits.

"It's funny that I was compared to people like Kate Upton when I first started in modeling and boxing. I have had to scratch and bite my way to the top. While people like her have been handed their chances. The last time I was given a chance... Well as you see I took it" says Hailey. She puts her hands under her prized jugs to make her point that she is a winner.

Turning her attention to her opponent. Hailey then says "oh and to Raffaella. I already whooped your ass. You don't scare me one bit. So call me all the names under the sun. When that bell rings, you are getting knocked the f**k out again." Giving a hard look to the camera as clearly there is a little bad blood between them.

Fighting time. First through the curtain comes Raffaella with her coach. She wears a blue sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, with white gloves. Her hair is tied into a ponytail as she marches down the aisle to the ring. Once inside it she taps her cheeks to fire herself up.

Here comes Hailey down the aisle with Henry Cavill behind her. She hasn't got the JMDD title with her, what she does have is a big smile as she gets a loud cheer. She is wearing a white sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves and her hair in a ponytail too. She steps into the ring raising her arms into the air as she looks out to the crowd. Her demeanor changes when she stares at Raffaella to one of a scowl.

The referee waves both fighters to them. Both squaring up to each other as they stare right into each others eyes. The referee needing to nudge them apart as they look ready to push each other back with their bodies. When it is time to touch gloves, they give a quick swipe to their opponents set. Jogging back to their corners as they are ready to fight. The bell rings to begin 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell both step out their corners looking straight at each other with an intense stare. Exchanging stiff jabs and threatening early to pull the trigger on right hooks. When they do both step in to trade a flurry of punches, the crowd roars. Hearing the cracks of leather on cheeks as the opening minute is a closely fought affair.

It takes a jab on the nose of Raffaella to make her take a step back. Right hook follows onto her cheek with another jab slamming into her face. Now the crowd get a taste of why Hailey has been on a roll the past year. Pressing Raffaella to the ropes, where she smacks her around with hooking combos.

Pushing off Hailey so she can get away from the ropes. Raffaella is a stubborn fighter. So she is happy to engage Hailey. Even though she is being outworked as Clauson looks to have gotten the confidence behind her to take the fight to her opponent. Punches slamming into faces as Raffaella has her back near the ropes while she circles around the ring to her right. At the end of the round it's a great start for the American beauty.

Round 2:
Now warmed up they trade more heavy leather. Raffaella stepping inside with a left hook that glances the cheek of Hailey as the blonde backs off. The follow up uppercut does land though as Raffaella is looking to drive forwards. Hailey finding herself pressed onto the ropes by an irate looking Modugno. Hooks flying in till they clinch up thanks to Clauson.

Forced apart before they engage again. Hailey finds herself on the back foot as Raffaella stalks after her. Both trading stiff jabs before they land right hooks at similar times. Raffaella gives Hailey a shove to her chest. Landing a crisp left/right hook combo afterwards to get a groan from the beautiful blonde.

Hailey trying to slug back off the ropes. Getting shoved to her chest with a left forearm before two right hooks catch her on the jaw. Making Hailey shell up as Raffaella is ready taking her to task this round. Even catching Hailey around her breasts with short hooks. At the bell Raffaella looks fired up. Hailey a little surprised by the aggression coming her way.

Round 3:
Pushing off their stools to fight on. Hailey is looking to met Raffaella head on. Leading to some near bumper to bumper meets. Short digging punches are thrown as they let their hands go. Not all the punches landing flush but the ones they do give off a cracking sound.

Hailey gets pegged back after a left hook lands around her ear. Raffaella muscling her back into a neutral corner. Whacking away at the body of Hailey when she can't land a clean punch up top. Tempers look to be rising in the clinch as Hailey stops Raffaella's momentum. Gumshields on show as they whack away at each others kidneys.

The referee warns them both once split up. With more toe to toe exchanges coming when the fight on. Hailey this time the one to catch out her opponent, deflecting a straight on her glove before pounding one of her own into Modugno's chin. Followed by a left hook to her jaw. Not too long later the bell rings with both women giving each other an icy stare.

Round 4:
Resuming with more punches smacking their opponents around cheeks and tits. Hailey leans out the way of a right cross. Slamming in a counter left to the ear of her foe. A straight smacks Raffaella around her eye to make her cry out and back off, there's a little puffiness around it but Raffaella has to worry more about being bullied back onto the ropes. Holding onto her rival. Raffaella presses her head into Hailey's, earning herself a warning when they are split up.

Raffaella looking to come back at Hailey quickly in this hard hitting contest. Hailey starting to catch her opponent with some crisp straight punches as Raffaella is a little too open. Though the Italian beauty lands a nice left hook as she adds a straight to the chest of Clauson to push her back a step.

Ending up clinched up again. Boobs are tightly pressed together as they try to wrestle each other to the ropes. Referee does break them up after a testing moment. Going toe to toe in the dying moments of the round. At the bell there's a loud cheer from the crowd. Hailey telling Raffaella to bring it on. Which is nearly accepted if not for the referee getting between them.

Round 5:
Exchanging as they circle in tight to each other. Almost taking turns to throw two to three punch combos. Barks, grunts and cracks of leather can be heard from the fighters. Raffaella lands two uppercuts around the midsection of Hailey to make her grunt out. As Hailey backs off a sweeping left hook smacks across her cheek to make her take two steps backwards.

Pushing Hailey into a neutral corner. Raffaella is swinging away as the American covers up. Clauson's supporters are cheering her to fight back as Raffaella whacks away at her. She is protecting herself mostly okay though. Firing single punches back as Raffaella taunts her by tapping her chin with her right to try to get Hailey to open up.

Grabbing hold of Raffaella in a tight clinch. Hailey hisses "bytch" as Raffaella fires back "f**Ker." Broken up Hailey looks happier to be free. Though she is boxing off the back foot as Modugno looks to power her back again. Problem for the older fighter is she is getting caught with some nice clean counters. The round comes to an end with Raffaella wanting to be around the referee to get at Hailey. Being warned to get back to her corner as her temper is boiling up.

Round 6:
Hailey is not going to be bullied so easily. Whacking in a left hook as a right comes her own way. Ducking under a left hook, Hailey lands a crisp right into the belly button of Raffaella. Then lands a left hook over the top onto the chin of her rival to turn her head and make her stumble two steps back.

Suddenly Raffaella finds herself being pushed around. Hailey pounding in big shots around her guard to send beads of sweat flying. Holding onto Hailey's right arm. Raffaella is fighting with everything here as she whacks in two right hooks to the cheek of Hailey. They are split apart with Modugno maybe lucky to get a last warning for the illegal tactic.

Resuming fighting with just over a minute to go. Raffaella is looking to get back at Hailey but is getting caught with several big hits. Making Raffaella retreat back behind her guard as she soon finds herself driven into her own corner. Hailey switching targets to lay the hurt on her. The round soon ends with Hailey marching back to her corner looking fired up. Raffaella on the other hand seems to have some of her own fire put out by that pounding she took.

Round 7:
Trading stiff punches out the gates. Hailey soon slips a straight to dig a right into the body of her foe, landing a follow up left hook up top around her eye to make Raffaella back off. Hailey starting to put her punches together in a brutal rhythm for Modugno. Who soon eats a right onto her forehead. OPENING HER UP TO A NASTY LEFT HOOK ON HER TEMPLE! DOWN CRUMBLES RAFFAELLA TO HER BACK!

Hailey stares down at Raffaella for a moment before being nudged to the neutral corner. 1...2...3... Raffaella has her eyes shut. Groaning as 4...5.. her arms are out at her sides. 6...7... She isn't really moving beyond her head rolling to the right side. 8...9...10 she looks like she could be counted to 100 as it is over!

Winner Hailey Clauson KO Round 7:

After:
Hard fought victory for Hailey but she gets the important win right out the gates against a title contender. Hailey walks back to her corner with arms out at her side as if to say "look at me" to the crowd. With loud chants of her surname ringing out for the stunning knockout.

The ringside doctor with Raffaella's corner crew rush in to check on her. She soon comes around but is looking dazed. The doctor doing checks on her as her gloves are removed by her coach. Soon enough Raffaella sits up with a wince. Nodding that she feels she will be okay. Still the doctor wants her to go to the back.

There's a round of applause for Raffaella over her efforts this fight. She certainly had Hailey sweating it with her raw aggression. Raffaella is helped out the ring and to the backstage area for more tests. This certainly wasn't how she hoped to start the event but she showed a promising performance that could put fear in some of her competition.

In the ring after being cleaned up and her gloves removed. Hailey walks to the middle of the ring as the result is announced. Her right arm is raised by the referee as Hailey gives a big smile for the camera. Doing the heart symbol with her hands to show love to her fans.

Soon enough she steps out the ring as she high fives some of the crowd at ringside. She has been dubbed the favourite by some quarters. Can Hailey carry the BBU JMDD title through the tournament and win this event? We'll find out how she does over the next few months but right now she looks mighty excited for what is ahead for her.
