Intro:
Second bout of the event sees Singapore fitness model Jaime Pang hope to increase the Rest of the World teams lead. Kathryn Newton is hoping to get her USA team on the board. They step into the ring here at Abu Dhabi's Etihad Stadium.

We have live footage inside each fighters team locker room. Inside the ROW team locker room, Isabella Gomez is getting hugged by her teammates apart from Jaime. Who nods to her but is bouncing on her toes with coach Sharon Horgan giving her a pep talk as they look relaxed in that camp.

In the USA locker room. Elizabeth Olsen taps Anna Kendrick on her back as she sits down and is consoled by her teammates. Kathryn being waved by Elizabeth. Who tells her "you have this, just stick to what you do best." Kathryn nodding as she takes a deep breath.

Fighting time. Out comes comes Jaime with Sharon behind her. Jaime is waving to the fans as she looks confident. Stepping into the ring, Jaime is wearing a navy blue sports bra, her national flag design on her trunks, red gloves and matching shoes, her hair is tied into a ponytail as she bounces on her toes stretching her arms.

Kathryn now walks onto the stage with Elizabeth to her left side. Kathryn was once a fresh faced prospect, now can she prove she is ready made to be a star in the FCBA as she walks to the ring with her red gloves held together. She climbs into the ring wearing a red sports bra, American flag pattern trunks and red shoes, hair is braided as she shadow boxes. Elizabeth tells her "forgot about the last bout. This is all about you." Making Kathryn smile as she doesn't seem shy about her chances.

Jogging to the middle of the ring for the final instructions to be read out. Both fighters are intensely staring their opponent down as they are nose to nose. They quickly swipe their gloves with their opponents set before jogging to their corners. The referee signals for the bell to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Both come out exchanging jabs as they bob and weave. Trying to set up an angle to strike, each just missing as they swing in hooks from their couching positions. It's a closely fought start to proceedings as height and weight wise they are similar, Kathryn looks to have the slight hand speed advantage as she starts to catch her opponent with two punch combos.

Jaime though gives Kathryn a taste of her power, left hook crashing into the chin of Kathryn as she tries to step in with a straight. Jaime thuds in a straight before another left hook has the blonde stumbling back two steps as she loses her balance a moment. Jaime not letting up now she has the advantage, muscling Kathryn to the ropes. Where she works the body of the American.

Nudging Jaime enough to create space to get away from the ropes. Kathryn is looking to match her opponents intensity with her combos. Jaime catches her with a clubbing left cross to her cheek, soon enough Newton is finding herself needing to fight off the back foot again as Pang is the one on the front foot. The round comes to an end with a solid start for Jaime, there might be some tension right now in the USA camp as this is certainly not how they wanted to start this fight after losing the opening bout.

Round 2:
The pace quickens now they are warmed up to the task at hand. Kathryn starting to dip down more to test the abs of Jaime. Who takes them well as she clips the blonde around her head with short hooks. Both planting their feet more to exchange as Kathryn is looking to not be bullied around like the last round.

In fact Newton's body work does have a desired effect; Jaime lowers her guard and over comes a right square into the ear of the Singapore slugger. Jaime shaking her head a moment, with Kathryn like a viper striking a jab under the chin of her foe to snap her head backwards. Kathryn stepping after Jaime with a jab/straight combo into her chest as she is wanting to open up the fitness model.

While Jaime lands some hard shots from near the ropes, she is also missing as Kathryn has more of the room to move back to dodge then strike. Soon the round comes to a close with Pang looking a little annoyed that she couldn't build off the opening round. Both women stare intensely at each other knowing the importance of a win here for their team so early in this early.

Round 3:
Exchanging right away around the center of the ring. Kathryn gets a fast start as she slips a straight and pounds in a counter left hook onto the jaw of her opponent. Jaime forced back towards the ropes again, looking deadly serious now as she fires back. Both clipping the others cheeks to mark them up.

Soon enough a right hook catches Kathryn on her jaw. Jaime driving her back across the ring to cheers from Sharon. Kathryn covers up more tightly in response, not happy when her torso is being pounded by the older woman. Newton swings back off the ropes as she looks to get off them. Both landing some cracking punches as grunts and barks of effort ring out.

Kathryn dips under a left hook and gets into space. Back on her toes peppering the cheeks of Jaime as she looks to make her back off to the delight of her corner. Again late in the round Pang catches her with a right hook. Kathryn needing to remember to keep her guard set as she is getting caught too often at times with her hands not in position. The round ends to a cheer from the crowd, Kathryn curses herself as she returns to her corner. Jaime meanwhile looks to have a icy look on her face now.

Round 4:
Tapping her cheeks before the bell; Kathryn is off out her corner looking to give Jaime something to think about, landing a few jabs around the chin of Jaime to force her to back off. Kathryn looks very motivated as they exchange. Jaime being forced around the perimeter of the ring with an annoyed look on her face.

Jaime needing to counter punch herself as she moves her upper body to slip punches and fire back. Able to force Kathryn back to the middle of the ring at the half way point of the round. Jaime works the body of her opponent when she steps inside her reach. The coaches are yelling at their fighters to really dig in their shots as thuds can be heard.

Nudging back Jaime with a left forearm, Newton lands an uppercut to force her Asian opponent back onto her heels. Kathryn landing a double jab into her face to push her further back. Final twenty seconds sees Jaime getting outworked by her younger foe. Soon the round ends with Kathryn certainly showing her toughness so far to keep coming back at Jaime.

Round 5:
Back out the fighters come with a light sheen of sweat starting to coat them. Kathryn looks to be digging her toes into the canvas as she punches away around the torso of her foe. Jaime landing more clipping punches around the head of the blonde. With the model looking a little frustrated by her opponents work rate.

The second minute of the round sees Kathryn land a clubbing overhand right to the cheek of her opponent after dodging a left cross. She pumps in a jab/straight/jab combo into the face of Jaime to snap her head back as now on comes the American. Herding Pang around near the ropes as Kathryn is in a real flow right now.

Still you can't snooze on Jaime. She lands a straight into the forehead of Kathryn before landing a clubbing right hook to her chin to send some sweat flying. Kathryn has to retreat and reset at the center of the ring. Jaime coming off the ropes as both now slug it out on the inside with foreheads nearly bumping. Soon the round comes to a close with a little push from both to get their opponent off them, hard stares being exchanged before they walk past each other to return to their stools to be cleaned up and patched up.

Round 6:
This has been a closely fought affair from the opening bell. Exchanging stiff straight punches as they circle, Jaime steps back as Kathryn looks to land an overhand right again. This time Jaime catches her opponent with a counter left hook onto her ear to make the blonde stumble two steps to the left. Jaime pounces on Kathryn with a follow up jab/right uppercut combination to send the American reeling back towards the ropes with a whine.

Suddenly Kathryn looks a little in trouble as Jaime is pounding around her face. Kathryn needing to hold onto her with a trickle of blood running from a cut under the right eye of Newton down her cheek. Referee steps in to split them up when both pounds in kidney shots. Once they resume Jaime catches Kathryn off the mark with a straight into her face.

Kathryn is shelling up as she is being bullied back around the ring. Jaime has an intense look as she is beating the younger fighter around her body when she can't hit her up top. Again the blonde needs to hold onto her opponent. Sweat soaked toned bodies grind together as they snarl at each other. The bell rings to end a simply dominant round for Pang. Newton needing to be patched up as Olsen might be smelling her coaching debut night going zero for two out the gates. She tells Kathryn to take a deep breath and then gives her some advice on what she needs to do to turn this bout around.

Round 7:
Pushing off their stools to fight. Jaime is looking to press her advantage from the last round early. Kathryn shows her legs are not gone yet as she dances around and fires out a crisp jab. Going back to basics by the looks of it as she catches the Asian woman square into her face. Kathryn soon dips under a left cross and hammers a right hook right under the ribs of Pang to make her groan. AN UPPERCUT AFTER JAIME IS NUDGED BACK LANDS ON HER CHIN TO ROCK HER BACKWARDS! POUNDING PUNCHES ARE COMING IN AS KATHRYN IS BEING YELLED ON BY OLSEN, RIGHT HOOK ON THE CHIN OF JAIME SENDING HER TO HER BACK!

Amazing turn around from Newton. Who marches over to the neutral corner as Jaime can be heard groaning from her back. 1....2....3....4... Jaime has blood running from her nostrils as she blinks hard to clear her head. 5....6....7... She is slow to turn to her front as she grabs for the ropes. 8....9... Jaime is on her knees with her head resting on the middle rope. 10 she is counted out!

What a turnaround from Newton! She was hurting in the sixth but wise words from her coach, mixed in with toughness from the young fighter has given her the win here. Kathryn has a few tears in her eyes as Elizabeth steps into the ring and embraces her protégé. Telling her "that was amazing. You showed real heart tonight." Both return to the USA team corner with their corner crew looking relieved that they are now on the board.

On the other side of this equation Jaime is understandably not happy as she turns and sits against the ropes, head down as she sheds a few tears of disappointment. Sharon comes kneels to her left as she puts her right hand on her left shoulder. Sharon says "don't worry love. You fought brilliantly, it just wasn't your night but we still have got this in the bag." Jaime nods as she looks up at her coach for this event. Still it stings that she lost this clash that she was looking to be on top of.

When Jaime is helped to her feet by Sharon. The two fighters give each other a hard look from across the ring. Clearly there's plenty of tension now between them. Jaime maybe believing Kathryn was very lucky to pull this win off. Kathryn seeing the lack of respect from her opponent. Things might not be over between these two proud women.

Out the ring soon steps Jaime after getting her nose patched up with tissue paper up her nostrils. She waves to her supporters at ringside as they tell her they love her. Jaime has certainly been one of the women from the Singapore revolution over the past two years to really get a lot of support. Even if Queenie Sia would tell you she is even more popular then Jaime is. Still it will sting to return to her locker room a loser.

Back in the ring after getting her own cut cleaned up. Kathryn walks to the middle of the ring and gets her right hand raised. It isn't as popular a result of course as the Rest of the World team winning the first bout. Still Newton gets a loud cheer from the traveling American fans. She raises both arms into the air with a big smile for the cameras.

Climbing out of the ring with Elizabeth. Kathryn is patted on her back by Olsen. Both Hollywood stars chatting about how the tie has turned and that they are confident that now the cup is coming back with them. Certainly the mood will have changed in both camps as the score is tied up.
