Intro:
Now it's a battle of the undefeated fighters. England's Jodie Comer and American Ellie Fanning will both want to take their opponents zero from the losses column. Both the Rest of the World team and team USA are tied up, adding extra drama to this bout for both women here in Abu Dhabi's Etihad Stadium.

Career wise Jodie has only fought in the BBU. Defeating the likes of Indira Weis and Jenny Frost. While Ellie has beaten Nell Tiger Free by knockout in seven rounds. So while neither has a big name on their record, beating the other will certainly prove they are the one moving in the right direction.

Camera on the locker rooms sees that both sets of teams look a bit more tense now. Jodie is putting her navy blue gloves as she is tapping her toes as coach Sharon Horgan comes over to her to check on her. Isabella Gomez gives Jaime Pang a consolidation hug. While Ireland Baldwin and Rest of the World team captain Lily James are chatting with serious looks on their faces in the background.

Across the stadium in the American team camp. Ellie looks a little nervous as Taylor Swift puts her right arm around her should. Talking her through any nerves she has, while coach for this event Elizabeth Olsen leads winner Kathryn Newton into the locker room. She gets a cheer from the others. Kathryn gives a fist bump to Ellie and a smile shared between the two young actresses to show they have developed a bond in training.

Fighting time. Jodie walks out onto the stage wearing a navy blue sports bra, Union Jack pattern trunks, navy blue shoes to go with her gloves. Blonde hair tied into a ponytail as she walks to the ring. Looking to have an ice cold expression as she steps into the ring. Tapping her cheeks as Sharon stands on the ring apron smiling as she looks confident in her fighter.

Ellie now steps out with Elizabeth to her right side. Ellie jogs down the aisle as she looks keen to get started. She is wearing a red sports bra, stars and stripes pattern trunks, red gloves and boots, her hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring. Ellie bouncing on her toes as she looks over at Jodie.

The fighters then walk over to the center of the ring. They eye each other over as they measure each other up. Respectfully they fist bump when told to touch gloves. They jog back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Up on their toes feeling each other out in the opening twenty seconds, plenty of left glove bumping left gloves as they try to find that range. Similar heights and reach so when they step in closer, both are getting popped by straight punches to faces. Neither really able to grab a firm control of things through the opening minute.

Maybe it's due to her slight experience advantage, Jodie is the one to break the stalemate by timing blocking the jab of Ellie before stepping with with a left hook to the body. She follows up with a stinging straight into the face of the American to snap her head back. Ellie backs off as Comer steps after her with straight punches aimed at her heart, when some of those miss she goes to the body of her foe.

Ellie is trying to swing clean shots off her back foot, she misses more then she lands though, leading to Jodie popping her to the face with clean punches to the face. Sharon looking pleased as she watches Jodie keep Elie moving near the ropes, not letting the youngster get off her punches. The round soon comes to an end with Jodie looking crisp once she created the opening, Ellie meanwhile takes a breath before she sits down.

Round 2:
Elizabeth gives Ellie a pep talk before she steps back out. It seems to work as she is out quicker, moving her upper body more to dodge and then strike at Jodie with jabs towards her chest and face. The older fighter slowing down her own attacks, more guarded as she tries to get a read on what her opponent is doing. Leading to Ellie landing a left hook on her jaw, followed by two short rights into her abs.

Pushing off Ellie and moving around the perimeter of the ring. Jodie starts to get a few more cleaner shots in now she mixes her punches up. Issue she has though is that Fanning is out working her, landing more punches in volume now she seems to have found her mojo. Olsen in her corner nodding when she sees her fighter having success.

The final forty five seconds sees Jodie land a straight into the lips of Ellie, she steps inside to work as both women nearly clash heads. Already a little sense of desperation off both women as they throw punches without much accuracy, arms and hips get hit as much as to the body cleanly. The round ends with Ellie jogging to her corner looking more fired up.

Round 3:
Ellie again gets off to a quick start as her speed advantage is starting to show. Marking the cheeks of Jodie up with two punch combos. Jodie stabbing in a few more punches around the chest of her younger opponent to try to hold her in place for hooks over the top. The crowd is loving the intensity of these women as they exchange.

First minute has past in the round. Jodie misses with a left cross as Ellie sidesteps to her right, uppercut catches Jodie on her chin to knock her to her heels. SOON A LEFT HOOK TO THE JAW SENDS JODIE DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE!

Sharon says "no!" As she grips the white towel tightly in her hands, Ellie walking to the neutral corner smiles as she looks at her coach. 1....2....3... Jodie shakes her head as she turns to her front. 4....5....6... Getting to all fours, Jodie punches the canvas with her left glove in frustration. 7....8... Pushing up to her feet as she doesn't look badly hurt. Gloves raised to show she can continue.

Resuming with just under half the round to go. Ellie rushes at Jodie, who boxes off her back foot. Gut check time for the older fighter as she needs to use her experience to try to hold off Ellie. The American beauty manages to catch Jodie with under a minute to go with a straight to her face. Jodie ends up pinned to the ropes but she grabs hold of Ellie. The referee splits them up as Ellie snarls in frustration.

Soon the bell rings to end the round. Ellie raises her right glove in the air as she senses she is on the road to victory. Across the ring Jodie looks like she could punch a hole through a wall with how angry she is. Sharon grabs her gloves and gets her to look into her eyes. Sharon telling Jodie "it was one mistake, that isn't what defines a fight. Go kick her arse." With Comer nodding before she stands up for the next round.

Round 4:
Pushing off their stools to resume, Ellie is the one faster off the mark with her punches still. Especially with the motivation gained from the last round, Jodie doing her best to weather the early storm with her footwork and going to some dark arts by holding Ellie to frustrate her.

Ellie tries to step in with a straight that Jodie slips. Left hook clubs Ellie on her ear before two short rights land around her belly button to make her groan. Jodie turning the tables on the younger woman as she drives her back to the ropes. Slugging Fanning around her stomach as she grinds her head into the Americans before Ellie manages to hold onto her.

Broken up with Ellie looking a little less sure now. Jodie matches her work rate when they begin again. More toe to toe exchanges taking place as they dig their toes into the canvas to work, both fighters cheeks soon have a pink hue to them as the crowd roars them on. Soon the round comes to a close with Comer showing why she is seen as a good prospect in her own right. Ellie shakes her head annoyed that Jodie came back at her, Olsen needing to tell Fanning to keep her head on the game.

Round 5:
Ellie looking to do as she has the past few rounds. Jodie though isn't letting her work as easily as she steps inside more to force the issue. A left hook again hits Ellie around her ear to make her take a step to her left. Ellie pounding the head of the younger woman as suddenly Fanning is looking ruffled. A RIGHT HOOK ON THE CHIN SENDS ELLIE TO HER BACK!

Elizabeth now the one to look disbelieving that her girl is down as Sharon jumps for joy. Jodie jogs to the neutral corner watching keenly what is happening. 1....2....3....4... Ellie turns over to her front, blinking hard to clear her vision. 5....6... Grabbing the ropes in front of her. 7....8... There's a wobble to her step but she is up to her feet. Gloves are up as Ellie shows she can continue.

The fight resumes with Jodie not rushing in. She feints a few times before she slips a jab aimed at her head, banging in a jab square to the nose of Ellie, right hook then lands on that nose to cause blood to flow as Ellie cries out. Holding her nose with her left glove isn't wise as Jodie pounds in a right hook to her cheek. ELLIE STUMBLES TO THE ROPES AS JODIE SHOWS HER NO MERCY. ELIZABETH THROWS THE TOWEL IN AS SHE DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ELLIE BADLY HURT! REFEREE WAVES THE FIGHT!

Winner Jodie Comer TKO Round 5

After:
Jodie raises her arms in the air as a wave of relief hits her. Then she looks at the sobbing Ellie and goes over to hug her as she checks if she is ok. Elizabeth is in the ring and asks Ellie to remove her left glove from her nose. There's a good flow to the blood coming from her nostrils, after checking it Elizabeth tells her she will be ok. Joking to Ellie "welcome to the world of boxing kid, it is painful." As Ellie nods.

Ellie is walked over to her corner where her nose is patched up. While Elizabeth places an ice pack in a towel and places it on Ellie's nose, telling her "it will be sore for a few days at most. Trust me I have been hurt by my nose being busted. It certainly hurts like hell." Acting like a mentor to the young woman. Ellie smiles as it looks to have helped take the sting of defeat away.

In the opposite corner Jodie doesn't go over board celebrating. She thanks Sharon for all her help as they talk about the fight. Jodie even admitting she feels a little sorry for busting the nose of Ellie. Sharon says to her "you know it's part of the risk. She might have felt sorry if she did it to you instead, I can promise you she wouldn't hug you and play nice till she heard that bell ring to show you lost." Jodie nodding in agreement.

Once both fighters are patched up, they head to the middle of the ring for the final result to be announced. Jodie gets her left hand raised in victory. Ellie still has the towel on her nose but she doesn't look too downbeat to have lost. Jodie making sure to come over and raise Ellie's right arm. Showing respect to the young woman and building her confidence up.

Ellie thanks Jodie before she climbs out the ring with Elizabeth to her left. There's definitely potential here with Ellie. More seasoning is needed of course, a good coach might be able to make her a new star in the FCBA. Elizabeth is telling her to keep her chin up after tonight as she clearly believes in what she saw of Fanning.

In the ring Jodie poses for the cameras after being handed a red Liverpool shirt. Reminding the world of where she is proudly from as she jokes "I couldn't wear blue too much longer without some red." Winking as Sharon laughs at her corny joke.

They both leave the ring together with Sharon offering Jodie a spot sparring Lily whenever they are in England or she is in America. With Jodie thinking about it as they head to the back all smiles. Especially as the Rest of the World team are ahead again. Last year they won it before the final bout was needed, is history repeating itself?
