Intro:
Our second bout tonight sees two proud members of the jaguar division. Kelly Brook is a future BBU hall of famer in some people's eyes, while Tractorpull Hall of Famer Kate Beckinsale is hoping to do what she shockingly didn't in her prime career, that is win a title! Both will hope to move closer to a future Jaguar title bout.
This will be even more interesting as Kelly Brook is somewhat on home territory. They fight in the Ice Hotel in Alaska, a venue she has been the Queen of. Kate has never fought at the Ice Hotel before, so can she adapt to the setting as the Ice Hotel has its own aura and unique feel to fight in.
Before the bout both were asked for a few words on camera, Kelly tells the camera as she wears a large white fur coat with white heels. She tells the cameraman "tonight I start my run to the Jaguar title. I should have been involved in that damn tournament. Stana Katic I hope knows she is just holding my title... Well if she can keep it tonight."
When asked about Kate. Kelly replies "it's funny isn't it? All these years and we never fought once. Both of us are proud English lasses. I know she is tough but look at my career and then hers, I actually took the titles in front of me. While she has never achieved much, given a hall of fame spot for just being in the FCBA." Rolling her eyes at that. Finishing up with "but she won't beat me, I will add her to my legacy."
While Kate wore a white dressing gown and sleepers as she was interviewed on her bed. She says with her usual authority "I get that some people probably hope I stay retired then come back to fight but I want that Jaguar title around my waist. I fought for so long without winning a world title and while I enjoy my day job at the Vixens. They all want me to round my career off holding up a title to show people that I was as good as all those I fought. I beat all the greats and yet they get the recognition over me."
Arms folded as she adds "Kelly Brook is a prime example of that. She won titles in two organisations and yet look at her record. She lost a lot of bouts and now she cries that she deserves to be handed spots. Tough luck Kelly! You have to get by me if you want a shot at the title and I am not moving aside for you."
Fighting time, the ring is in the main hall with some of Kelly's old rivals at the hotel ringside to watch and probably boo her. Laetitia Casta being her number one rival grinning as she sits waiting to see clearly in her view Kelly get smacked down.
First out is Kelly with trainer Melinda Messenger and protégé Kym Graham. She heads to the ring with a big smile as she looks relaxed. Wearing her big fur white coat to the ring. She slips it off on the ring apron to A) show her bum in the direction of her old enemies at ringside as she has her back to them. B) reveal that she is wearing a fur lined white sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her hair is braided as she steps into the ring. Banging her gloves together as she fires herself up.
Now here comes Kate as she has coach Steve Boyd with her. She looks at the ring with no hint of worry, she taps her navy blue gloves against her cheeks. A blue fur lined sports bra with yellow stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring. She paces in her corner as Steve tells her she has got this in the bag.
They walk to the center of the ring to lock eyes. The fighters shake their arms to keep them loose as they are both experienced enough to not get too worked up. They swipe their gloves with their opponent before walking to their corners. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of 130lbs catchweight action.
Round 1:
Neither rushes out their corners, feeling each other out as Kate is more up on her toes of the fighters. Some punches landing off the others lead hand till they can move in closer to exchange. Cracks of leather ring out when they land flush through the others guard to beautiful faces.
After a cagey opening minute. Kate feints with a jab and dips under a attempted left hook. Coming up with an uppercut that forces Kelly back onto her heels. Kate showing some of her skills as she drives in a jab/straight combo under the chin of her opponent. Kelly finding herself needing to back up around to the outside part of the ring. Kate smiling as she picks her punches. Kelly wanting to catch her with a big hook but misses more then she lands.
A left hook catches Kelly on her cheek, Kate now forces back Kelly to the ropes with several crisp punches into the face of the model. Kelly grabs onto Kate when she gets too close. Kelly trying to turn Kate to the ropes but the referee steps in to break them up. They resume with Kate bouncing up on her toes with Kelly trying to hunt her down. The bell rings to end the round with a strong start for Beckinsale as she shows flashes of her brilliance.
Round 2:
Stepping back out with Kate looking in a good rhythm on her toes. Stabbing in Jabs through to the face of Kelly. With the model landing a few hooks when she times Kate. Trading stiff punches when they stand to trade. Kelly not looking overawed as she stalks after Kate around the ring.
A double jab catches Kelly on her nose to open up the younger woman to a straight into her forehead. Kelly moving around the outside part of the ring. Covering up more tighter as Kate is switching up her targets. A confident aura around Beckinsale as she especially aims for the belly button of her foe.
The final minute sees Kelly catch out Kate with a short right hook to her jaw. Kelly shows her power to drive back Kate across the ring to the opposite set of ropes. Now it's time for Kate's torso to be tested as Kelly presses her forehead against the guard of Kate, pounding away at her flanks with her hooks. The round comes to an end with Kelly returning to her stool getting told off Kelly what she is doing wrong. Kate meanwhile looking relaxed as she sits on her own stool. Steve tapping her shoulders as she tells her she has got this.
Round 3:
The fighters trade with Kate continuing to look to move and strike. Kelly lands a straight into the forehead of Kate as she starts to crowd her towards a neutral corner. Kate swinging back as they trade. With Kate looking to steer her way back into space.
But a jab lands on Kate's chin before a short right lands on the jaw of the actress to turn her head. Kelly muscles her back into a corner, swinging in hooks around to the cheeks of her opponent to make her groan. Kate needing to grab onto Kelly to force the referee to step in to break them apart.
Kate gets into space but Kelly is stepping after her. Both landing through the others guards as they open up more. Kate looking more relaxed when she has more room to work. Soon the round ends with Kelly tapping her gloves together as she steps back to her corner. Melinda smiles as she enjoyed seeing her fighter on the front foot and not being kept back by her opponent.
Round 4:
Kelly is starting to cut off the ring more quickly, forcing Kate to exchange with her. The power of Kelly on show as she slams in a left hook that turns the head of her opponent. Kate finding herself herded near the ropes needing to open up. Both landing hard punches as leather can be heard cracking on both fighters faces.
A left cross opens up a cut on the bridge of Kate's nose. See doesn't look so relaxed now as a straight pins her to the ropes, where Kelly steps in to pound in short punches till she is held onto. The referee splits them up as Kelly presses Kate against the ropes. As they are split up Kelly's former rivals are yelling at Kate to fight back.
But Kelly has Kate on the defensive. Drilling in several punches around the chest of the older woman. Kate catches Kelly back into her face with straight punches. Both fired up as they bark in effort. The round ending with both women walking back to their corners. Kate getting her nose cleaned up as she feels the sting of the cut.
Round 5:
They resume with Kelly looking to keep on the attack. Kate dipping down more to land around the torso of the naturally bigger woman. Both landing to make the other grunt. Kelly misses with a left hook as Kate dips under it and lands a left/right hook combo in the body of Brook. An uppercut doesn't land flush but does push Kelly back onto her heels as Kate pounds away at her opponents body to press her backwards.
Kelly stabbing back with punches around the cheeks of Kate. It is Kate though landing the cleaner punches as she moves her upper body to dodge. The coaches yelling advice as they box. Kate landing a jab/straight into the chin of Kelly to knock her head back. Kelly forced back into a neutral corner as Kate swings in hooks now looking to really hurt her opponent.
As they enter the final thirty seconds. Kelly pushes her left forearm into the chest of her opponent to push her back. Swinging in a right hook to twist the head of Beckinsale. Momentum swinging around as Brook drives forwards in the remaining moments of the round. At the bell both women lock eyes before they head to their stools. Getting cleaned up as sweat coats their bodies.
Round 6:
Fighting on with Kelly slamming in a straight to the forehead of Kate to push her back a step. Kate swinging back but is caught with an uppercut that sends her head back. On comes Kelly as she slams in more punches to keep Kate onto her heels. Kate is missing as she tries to throw off her back foot. A RIGHT HOOK CRASHES ON HER CHIN TO SEND KATE ONTO HER BACK!
Walking to the neutral corner, Kelly grabs the top ropes either side of her as she stares at Kate. 1....2....3.... Kate turning to face the ropes to her right side. 4...5... Grabbing at the bottom rope in front of her. 6...7....8... She pulls her way up the ropes to her feet. Kate raises her fists to show she can continue.
They fight on with still nearly two minutes to go. Kate's legs have lost their spring as she looks to fight off the on coming Kelly. A right cross slams into Kate's face to send sweat and a little blood flying. A left hook to the chin makes Kate's legs turn to jelly! KELLY BULLIES BACK KATE ONTO THE ROPES, WHERE SHE IS BEING BEATEN TILL THE TOWEL COMES IN FROM THE VIXENS CORNER! THE REFEREE STEPS IN TO STOP THE FIGHT AS THEY ACCEPT KATE'S CORNER SURRENDERING FOR HER!
Winner Kelly Brook TKO Round 6
After:
Kelly gets an important win as she looks to move towards another title. She stares daggers at Kate before walking back to her corner. Kelly raising her arms into the air as she stops near her corner to glare at those she has fought in the Ice Hotel. Tonight proving this might be arguably her second home.
Across the ring Kate is helped back to her corner by Steve. She has shaky legs as she doesn't complain to her coach about them throwing the towel in. She sits on her stool looking annoyed with herself as she tosses her gloves to the canvas. Maybe thinking about her own future as that hunt for a title looks further away right now then it has for awhile.
Kelly doesn't care of course about her opponent. Talking to Melinda about the fight as she looks pleased with herself. Especially as she keeps stealing glances out the ring at her rivals. Maybe seeing future opponents as she looks to earn her way towards a future Jaguar title match.
When Kelly moves to the center of the ring to get her left arm raised by the referee. Kate watched as she stands to lean against the turnbuckles of her corner. Making sure to watch her opponents victory being made official. Maybe wanting to use it as motivation as she nods before she leaves the ring.
Kate needing to find that extra gear if she hopes to get herself back into title contention. Of course helping to run a stable might hold her back as much as anything else, taking calls and watching your fighters workout takes up a lot of her time.
While Kelly soon leaves the ring herself with Melinda. She has a look over at the throne that she once sat on proudly. Either remembering her prime or could she be looking at wanting to claim that title too? Amazing what a confidence boost a win can be. |
