Intro:
The Australian fans get to see two of their legends face off once more. This time for a title that means a lot to the country as the ACB world lightweight title is on the line. Yvonne Strahovski looks back to her homeland to try to earn another title to her amazing CV. Champion Holly Valance has revenge on her mind as she looks to defend her title in Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

Ten years ago both stepped onto Bondi Beach as Yvonne went back to her roots to do a tour of Australia. Holly turned out to be her toughest test at that time. The fight ended in a unanimous decision for Yvonne in her hometown, a knockdown in the last round seemed to help sway the result the way of Strahovski.

While that fight ended with both being somewhat civil; as they come together for the press conference for this event, both square up and Holly presses her forehead into Yvonne's. With Yvonne pressing hers back into Holly's. They are pushed apart with Yvonne wearing a black dress and heels, Holly wearing an emerald dress with green sandals, maybe wanting to take them off at a moment's notice if a brawl breaks out as she looks hyped up.

Holly gets her title from her coach Tara Moss as she holds it up and tells Yvonne "you won't have the judges on your side because you are the hometown girl! You have to beat me for this" as Yvonne mockingly applauds her.

Yvonne replies "you gave me a tough fight ten years ago. I will give you that but ten years later and look at you. I am still at the top of my game and you need me to keep you in people's minds. I am going to make you regret daring to come take your title away." Holly seething at that, staring angrily at Yvonne as the tension is clear to see.

"That why you wouldn't give me a rematch for so long? I will never beg anyone but you damn well know I challenged you after our first bout. You didn't want to know about it. Now I offer you a shot at being a champion again and you jump at the chance. You are a mercenary Vonnie, I'll enjoy getting my revenge." Yvonne shrugs her shoulders, showing how little she cares about Holly and her opinion.

"To be frank Holly fighting you meant nothing for me after our first fight. We went to war and I gained some respect for you but you hold a title I have thought about for a long while. I have wondered where I rank amongst other Aussies, you and me is a great fight on paper, I just don't believe you can beat me" says Yvonne in a dismissive manner.

Of course the champion doesn't take kindly to that. Stepping towards Yvonne but security is quick to hold her back. Yvonne tells her "save your energy for the ring." Heading off the stage as Holly's cheeks flush red, furious at her challenger. Tara helps to calm her down with a few words and a quick hug. Tara too big for Holly to argue with anyway.

Fight Night! Out comes Yvonne with a picture of her on the big screen. She gets a loud cheer by her supporters as she walks to the ring with Nicole Kidman working her corner. Yvonne is wearing a navy blue sports bra with white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, navy blue gloves with white thumbs, as her hair is braided. She climbs into the ring. Yvonne blows kisses to the crowd before taking a breath to focus herself.

Here comes Holly now with a picture of her on the screen behind her wearing a green bikini with the title around her waist. Holly walks down the aisle with an intense expression. Tara following behind holding the title up for all to see. Holly climbs into the ring wearing a free. Sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, green gloves with gold thumbs, her hair is braided too. She bangs her gloves together as if in a warning to her foe.

Brought together at the center of the ring. Going nose to nose as the referee holds the title. Final instructions are being read to them but both seem only focused on the woman looking to stop them leaving with the title. They bang their gloves into their opponents set before they walk to their corners. Once everything is set, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of ACB lightweight title bout action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" Both fighters come out circling as a duelling chant rings out around them. Exchanging stiff single punches as they look to land a big right. Just missing with their early hook attempts as the other fighter is wise to it.

Holly soon dips under a straight to land two cuffing body shots. She does land a straight into the chin of Yvonne to push her back a step. Holly looks to build on that success as she gets in closer to Yvonne to work. Surprising the former FCBA champion by leaning back out the way of a left cross to land a counter right into her face.

The champion looks to be fully zone in here. Pushing back Yvonne to a corner, Holly works away at her torso before Yvonne pushes her off. Yvonne comes back at her late in the round. Both letting their hands go in a heated exchange just before the bell rings. Holly raises her arms in the air to show Yvonne who started this fight on top. Yvonne smirking before they walk to their corners.

Round 2:
Holly looks to keep the heat on Yvonne. Starting well with a few cross punches landing on the cheeks of Yvonne. An uppercut catches Holly though to push her back onto her heels. Yvonne pounding her back onto the ropes with a four punch barrage to her face. Holly grabs onto her in a clinch.

They are split apart. Holly looks to get back on the move after being so gung ho. Yvonne doesn't rush in as she sees what Holly did wrong. Instead she thrusts in several solid straight punches into the face of her foe to move her around the outside part of the ring. Holly trying to match the work of Yvonne as both dig their toes in to exchange at times.

Final minute to go; Holly steps inside to work the body of Yvonne before she is nudged back. A right hook catching the champion onto her jaw to twist her head around. Yvonne muscles Holly back onto the ropes, the round soon ends with Holly looking annoyed after starting so well. Yvonne quickly pegging her back in this fight.

Round 3:
Stepping back out to resume; both exchanging more punches in bunches as they try to push each other back. Yvonne feints with her jab and dips down to land a straight into the torso of her opponent. A looping left hook lands on the chin of Holly to turn her head.

Yvonne is pressing Holly more to the ropes, looking to wear her foe down and smother her work. Holly trying to push her way off the ropes but gets nudged back and whacked with short hooks till she can grab a firm hold of Yvonne. Both fighters grinding foreheads as they want to make things uncomfortable for their opponent.

Broken apart so they can fight on. Yvonne gets caught with a double jab into her face. Holly moving up on her toes boxing on the back foot looking to counter Yvonne to show her she won't be bullied. The round comes to an end with Holly tapping her own cheeks on her way to her corner.

Round 4:
Both women come out quickly to engage again. Holly bodying up to her challenger and trying to muscle her back. Yvonne shoving her off and moving back to create space to land a firm jab/straight combo in reply. They box around the middle of the ring trying to grab control of the action.

Leaning out the way of a left cross; Holly lands a counter right into the forehead of Yvonne to knock her head back. Holly pushing Yvonne onto the ropes, firing in hooks around the guard of her opponent. Yvonne nudges back Holly and looks to slug her way back into the middle of the ring.

Both women trading with Holly ducking down more to look to create different angles to strike. A straight lands on the lips of Yvonne to nudge her back a step before a left/right cross combo lands on the jaw of Strahovski. Yvonne covers up in the dying moments of the round as she is driven back to the ropes. The round comes to an end with Holly marches back to her corner with Nikki tapping her on her gloves as she tells her to keep this up.

Round 5:
Cheeks are marked up as they exchange again. Opening up more as they are hyped up. Holly tags Yvonne to her chest with a straight to push her back a step, getting caught with a looping left hook on her jaw as she looks to push forwards. Both look a little frustrated by their opponent.

The second minute sees Holly feint before dipping down under a jab to land a short left hook to the body. THAT'S FOLLOWED BY AN OVERHAND RIGHT ON THE CHIN OF YVONNE TO UNBALANCE HER! A LEFT HOOK SENDS YVONNE DOWN ONTO HER BACK!

Holly marches over to the neutral corner. 1....2....3... Yvonne rolls to her front shaking her head. 4....5....6... She grabs the middle ropes in front of her. 7....8... Yvonne drags herself back to her feet. She doesn't look too badly hurt as she raises her fists up. The referee agrees she can fight on.

On comes Holly looking to end with fight now with a several hooks attempted. Yvonne showing a good defence to block most of the blows. Landing several good single shots in return to the face of her opponent to keep Valance back. The bell rings with Holly making a statement with that knockdown. Her supporters are roaring for her. Yvonne takes a breath as she sits on her stool. Nicole telling her to keep her head and rebuild her rhythm.

Round 6:
Holly looking to come on strong from the off. She busts the bottom lip of Yvonne with a left cross to cause blood to trickle to the chin of the challenger. Yvonne replies with some good footwork to use Holly's aggression against her as she lands counter shots.

As Holly tries to pin down Yvonne, she got caught with a left cross on the chin. Yvonne follows with a straight onto the lips of Holly before a follow up left hook lands to push the champion onto the back foot. Yvonne keeping the pressure on Holly around the outside part of the ring. Holly trying to slug her way back into this round.

That knockdown seems to have woken up Yvonne as she nudges Holly into a corner. Is landing hooks over the top as Holly is forced to have hold onto her challenger. The bell rings with both pushed apart by the referee. Holly taking a breath before walking to her corner, emotions running high for her. Yvonne looking the cooler customer as she taps her toes.

Round 7:
The fighters step out looking ready to trade again but Yvonne looks to be the one growing into the fight now. Jab/straight combo lands on the nose of Holly to make her grimace as she takes a step back. The champion finding herself having to try to slug her way off the back foot.

A right hook catches Holly on her chin to twist her head as she goes into the ropes. Yvonne starting to pound Holly across her face. Holly has some swelling around her left cheek as she goes to grab hold of Yvonne. A SHOVE TO HOLLY'S CHEST PUSHES HER BACK TO THE ROPES. WITH AN UPPERCUT LANDING ON HOLLY'S CHIN! DOWN DROPS HOLLY DOWN ONTO HER FRONT AT YVONNE'S FEET!

Yvonne walks to the neutral corner with a deep breath. Hoping that this is over. 1....2....3... Holly stirs as she groans. 4....5....6... Turning over to her back with her eyes shut. 7....8....9....10 that's it! We have a new champion!

Winner and New ACB lightweight champion Yvonne Strahovski KO Round 7

After:
Yvonne walks over to Holly to place her right foot on her chest. Arms in the air as she shows Australia that she has still got it. Heading off back to her corner once she has made her point as Holly stares at Yvonne as she tilts her head back while still on her back. Tears welling up in the former champions eyes.

The new champion getting a hug from Nicole. A few tears drip down the cheeks of Yvonne. Taking her gloves off, she wipes her eyes as this means so much to her. Another goal ticked off for her as she gets to win a world title in her homeland, show that she is still one of the best in the world.

Holly on the other hand is helped over to her stool. She is emotional as she cries into her hands. The title meant so much to her and getting revenge against Yvonne after a decade of waiting. Nikki has to console her friend as she tells Holly she will come back from this.

When Yvonne gets up to go to the center of the ring. Holly is helped out the ring as she can't bare to see the title she once wore be passed to a rival. Head down but Holly could still have a bright future if she decides maybe to go into the Jaguar division. She might not want to hear that though as she has been competing with younger women over the past few years. Time might have caught up with her.

In the ring Yvonne raises her arms into the air as the ACB belt is wrapped around her waist. A loud cheer rings out as the referee holds Yvonne's left arm up to make it official that she is the new face of the ACB lightweight division.

Leaving the ring; Yvonne shows off the title around ringside as she does a lap of honour. Giving out high fives as she goes. Getting pats on her arms and told congratulations on her success. Yvonne blushing slightly as this means the world to her. Heading to the back not long later, it will be interesting to see if the celebrations leak out on social media as it should be a wild night ahead.
