Intro:
Our second semi final in the World Cup sees China's Ming Xi and Italy's Valentina Fradegrada look to book their spot in the final as we look to have the first ever FCBA World Cup winner.

Both had different experiences in the opening round of the tournament. Ming Xi had the difficulty task of overcoming Kylie Jenner, who was one of the favourites to win it all. Instead Ming knocked her out in the eighth round.

The BBU Italian lightweight champion meanwhile took on former two weight BBU champion Doutzen Kroes. It was a battle of wills over four rounds but a nasty liver blow ended the night for the Dutch national hero. Doutzen was counted out and Valentina earned her way into this bout.

It's time to see which of these beautiful models will face Lily James in the final. The Brisbane Suncorp Stadium crowd is buzzing as they await the combatants for this contest. Both have had a break before this.

First onto the stage comes Ming with her coach Ana Beatriz Barros. She walks down the aisle with a cut showing on her bottom lip from her opening bout. Entering the ring moments later, she is wearing a red sports bra, red trunks with gold stars down the sides with matching shoes, red gloves and her hair is tied into a ponytail. Ming stretches her arms to loosen up for another tough test.

Valentina heads down the aisle. The Italian beauty marching down to the ring with her coach following as this title means so much to her. Valentina climbs into the ring wearing a light blue sports bra with an Italy flag badge on her left bra cup, light blue trunks, gloves and shoes as her hair is in a ponytail. Valentina takes a deep breath as she stares down her opponent.

Walking to the middle of the ring. Both fighters lock eyes in a tense stare down. Once the instructions have been read to both proud fighters. They swipe their gloves with their opponent. More keen to get back to their corners. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
The early action sees both hit the others guard as much as land flush. Ming looking to box on the outside as Valentina stabs in a few body shots to test out Ming. The fighters exchanging more harder shots as time ticks away and they get a feel for each other.

Valentina gets hit with a left cross as she tries to step inside, a straight follows into her forehead to snap her head back. Ming holding the center of the ring through the second minute. Stabbing in several clean two punch combos as she mixes her targets up. Valentina only really landing single punches in return.

As they head towards the end of the opener. Valentina deflects a straight to step in closer to land a right hook to the body. Both exchanging in close as seconds tick away. Feet are firmly planted as they hiss and cracks of leather can be heard. The bell rings to end proceedings with Ming looking the happier but Valentina showed some of her bite.

Round 2:
Ming's bottom lip starts bleeding again like her last fight after a left cross lands on it. Still she pumps in her own shots in return to mark up the face of Valentina. Both women are fighting hard for control as they open up more. Valentina getting in some hard body shots. Ming catching her over the top with looping punches.

An uppercut catches out Xi as she is pushed back a step. Fradegrada drives forwards to force the Chinese fighter to the ropes. Clearly the game plan to to work the body of Ming to wear her out. Taking that even with the break Ming has had, that her reserves will be running low over her right round fight.

Pushing off Valentina, Ming lands off her back foot as they exchange around the center of the ring. Valentina holding the center not letting Ming get off the ropes but there are some fiery exchanges between these two beautiful warriors. The round ends with Valentina returning to her corner to be told good job by her coach.

Round 3:
Stepping back out to resume; again it is a fairly even start to the round. Ming is landing the better punches at range, Valentina is finding ways to close in and pound the torso of the Fates fighter. A little blood starts trickling from the nostrils of Valentina after a left hook lands on it.

When Ming looks to build off that though she missed with a left hook. Valentina comes back with a counter straight into her chin. Back goes Xi to the ropes as a left forearm pushed into her chest. Right hooks thud into her body to make her grit her gumshield. Ming clinches up to force the referee to split them up.

Under a minute to go. Ming catches Valentina around her nose with a few straight shots to her face. The Italian national champion dipping under a straight to land a right into the stomach of Ming. An overhand left doesn't land flush but it does ward back Ming. The round comes to a close with Valentina looking good but Ming isn't wilting.

Round 4:
Trading stiff jabs to start as Ming moves towards the left side of Valentina. Who swings in a left hook but gets caught with a straight flush into her nose to knock her head backwards. A left hook/straight combo from Xi sends Fradegrada stumbling two steps backwards.

While Valentina gets her feet firmly back under herself. Ming pounces on her with a jab/straight combo that helps herd the Italian beauty onto the ropes. Ming firing in hooks as she looks to really lay the hurt on her foe. Valentina pushes off Ming and moves back into space with blood dripping onto her tits from her nostrils.

Less then thirty seconds to go. Valentina digging her feet in as she works the torso of her opponent. Showing that fighting spirit as Ming grits her mouthpiece. Ming fires back as they slug it out in tight till the bell rings. They both walk back to their corners. Valentina looking a little relieved as she gets patched up by her coach.

Round 5:
Ming is landing some crisp two punch combos square into the face of her opponent right away. Valentina starting to come unglued as she is swinging back but getting beaten to the punch in most cases. A double jab opening Valentina up to a right hook on her chin. THE FOLLOWING LEFT HOOK SENDS VALENTINA CRASHING TO HER BACKSIDE!

Walking to the neutral corner with purpose, Ming stares hard at Valentina. 1....2....3... Valentina shaking her head with a little blood dripping onto the canvas. 4....5... She starts to push up to her feet. 6....7... Looking a little wobbly as she stands with a little stumble. Raising her arms as she assures the referee she can fight on.

Back at it they go with Valentina swinging in a right haymaker that finds thin air as Ming sees it coming and leans back. Ming firing a straight into the face of Valentina, who stumbles back as defiantly she is trying to fight back but is being beaten backwards to the ropes. A RIGHT HOOK CRASHES ONTO THE TEMPLE OF VALENTINA TO GIVE HER EYES A GLASSY LOOK AS SHE SITS ON THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH HER HANDS DROPPING! THE REFEREE JUMPS IN STRAIGHT AWAY TO SAVE HER FROM ANY MORE PUNISHMENT!

Winner Ming Xi TKO Round 5

After:
Ming yells "yes!" As she raises her arms into the air. She can't hide her joy this time at winning, especially as she didn't have to go deep into a bout to win. Though as she walks back to her corner, it's clear she certainly needs to sit down to take a breather after another hard back and forth bout.

Valentina meanwhile looks a little puzzled what happened. Her coach needing to help her back to her corner as her legs are like jelly. It takes about a minute for the Italian stunner to come back to reality. Once she does she sobs into her gloves. She came into this event tonight to prove a point and she fell short after a good start to tonight.

The IBB coach consoles Valentina, reminding her that she proved she can hang with anyone in the world right now. Valentina wipes her eyes and kisses their left cheek as a thank you. Her nose is plugged up with tissue paper to stop it bleeding as Ming gets wiped down in her corner.

Showing that spirit she has; Valentina heads gingerly to the center of the ring for the final result to be announced. Ming getting her left hand raised into the air as Valentina nods. Knowing she has to be better next time she steps into a boxing ring. Getting applauded as she heads backstage with her coach.

Ming gives her some applause too. Then she poses with hands on her hips and a smile for the cameras. She'll be relieved there is another fight coming up to give her hopefully a prolonged break so she can be ready for Lily James in the main event. Leaving the ring with Ana to her left, getting patted on the back by her coach as this could be Ming's time to shine tonight.
