Intro:
Another rematch here as southern English lasses Lily James and Cara Delevingne square off once again. This time on Copacabana Beach as they settle a score that has heated up over the past month. In their first bout in 2021 it was Lily who emerged on top. Can Cara defeat her or is the run Lily is on one that will lead to the top?

This match came about after last month's FNL card. The FCBA Would Cup tournament took place there with Lily emerging the victor, she was the one picked for England and that seemed to stir up the old rivalry back up.

Before the bout Cara made it clear in an interview on the FCBA Networks prime time show. When asked about Lily's recent success, she replies "I have a question on that. I won the European Cup and yet I don't get picked, they choose her instead of me." Looking visibly annoyed.

She is reminded that she lost to Lily previously. Cara replies "she was lucky to beat me then. I am motivated and I dare her to share a ring with me again." Staring directly into the camera to show she is serious about the challenge.

Lily would be asked about it at her stables gym as she was walking in wearing a black sports bra, black jeans and white sneakers. She stops and pulls out her headphones wondering what is going on. Getting told what Cara said, making her chuckle.

"Look I respect Cara but that's not her best look. Of course we have both had a lot of success but if she wants the fight with me, I am always willing to box anyone who offers me a fight. Let's get it on" Says Lily looking excited to share a ring with Cara once again.

The contract was offered for them to box here on Copacabana Beach and they are now in Brazil. The ring posts are set into the beach. Two bleachers set opposite sides of each other.

Lily begins her walk to the ring with Angelica Bridges behind her. Lily waves to the crowds as she looks excited to fight here under the sun. She is wearing a pink bikini with red gloves, hair tied into a ponytail. She bounces on her toes in the sand once she steps into the ring, getting used to how this beach feels under her toes.

Cara heads out to join her as she has her coach behind her. She is wearing a blue bikini with matching gloves, hair also in a ponytail too. She climbs into the ring with her eyes firmly on Lily, she taps her cheeks as she is in this ring to prove herself once again to everyone, something that is a trend in her career.

Both women come to the center of the ring for the final face off. Cara looking more intense as Lily looks relaxed. They do touch gloves but Cara makes sure to push hers harder into Lily's then necessary. Back in their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both jog out their corners to start the action. Cara looking to take the fight to Lily early on, landing a few cross punches to make Lily back off. Cara just misses with a right haymaker as Lily dances out the way. It's clear the model wants to make an early statement in this fight.

Lily catches Cara out with a jab square into her forehead, followed by a right cross to her jaw. Cara is forced to give up space as Lily comes at her. A few short hooks come back at Lily to make her go back to the outside. Both women trading around the ring as things starting to heat up.

Again another mistake by Delevingne as she misses with a straight, a right is pumped into her belly button before a left cross lands near her temple. Cara being driven backwards into a neutral corner. Lily switching targets nicely to give her opponent a headache here. The round ends with Cara looking furious at herself and Lily.

Round 2:
Back out they come with Cara being told to keep her calm. Both stinging the others cheeks with straight shots. Lily showing good footwork but she does get hit with a left cross as Cara sees her going that way. A straight is followed by another left cross by Cara as she turns up the heat on her opponent.

Cara herds Lily around the perimeter of the ring. Lily does land some nice crisp punches off the back foot. It's Cara though landing with more volume as she especially targets the chest of Lily. Who grits her mouthpiece to not let Cara see those punches are bugging her.

A left cross catches Cara on her cheek to allow Lily to escape off the ropes. Final forty seconds sees both exchanging flurries before moving back to range. Sand is being kicked up as they let their fists do the talking. The round coming to an end with both walking back to their corners with the crowd looking fired up for them both.

Round 3:
Both women exchange again on the outside. Cara looking to step in but each time she does she is met with a stinging punches to her face. Cara does manage to dip down to catch her opponent around her stomach to test her abs out.

A left hook lands on the jaw of Cara after Lily slips a straight. The model finding herself knocked onto the ropes by more stiff shots as Lily swings through her hips more. Cara trying to match her but she soon needs to clinch up as her head is being snapped back.

They are split up with Cara tapping her gloves together. Forcing the issue more as Cara steps inside to work, being nudged back and getting caught into her face with straight shots. They fight hard up until the bell rings. Lily has the fans vote for this round as her name is chanted but Cara doesn't look too impressed as she scowls at her.

Round 4:
Cara looks to up the tempo early in the fourth. Drilling in more punches around the torso of her opponent. Lily landing punches around her cheeks in reply. Both trying to control the action as they end up grinding their heads as they bang away to bodies.

An uppercut catches Lily on her chin. She finds herself driven backwards into her own corner. Angelica telling her to show her grit here. Lily trying to fire back but she is being beaten around her body by her opponent, forcing her to hold onto her. The referee needed to break them up.

Less then a minute to go; Lily is boxing more around the outside part of the ring. Cara getting caught as she leaves herself too open at times. The round soon ends with a solid round for Delevingne. These two keep bringing the best out of each other as Lily decides to stay standing to show she isn't worried by Cara's success.

Round 5:
Lily is the one out the gates quicker this time, stepping to the left side of Cara as she jams in her jabs and straights to her face, some sneakily hitting her chest. Cara is trying to match her but can't during the opening minute.

Back comes Cara in the second after crouching under a jab and stepping inside with a left hook to the ribs. Cara rifles in a straight under the chin of Lily to knock her head back. The tables are turned here as it is now Cara who is on the front foot. Driving back her opponent towards the ropes. If not for a push with her right glove, Lily would be pinned against them.

Instead both exchange again as they fight around the outside part of the ring. Lily feints with her jab and sidesteps a right cross coming her way. A counter right turns Cara's head. Lily using the opening to muscle back Cara against the ropes. Strong finish from James as she keeps her opponent under wraps. The round ends with Cara looking ready to curse the heavens. Knowing she is in a tough fight here. Lily looks fired up as she seems to be feeding off the crowd and her opponents energy.

Round 6:
Another hard fought exchange to start as both are starting to dig their toes into the sand. Cheeks on both are reddening up. Lily lands a crisp jab/straight combo but eats a left cross when she looks to drive back her opponent. Cara digging in several short body shots to try to force her foe to back up as it is a closely fought opening minute.

A right cross catches Lily near her chin, she steps back and Cara lands a follow up jab/straight through the mitts of Lily. Who finds herself being pressed around the outside part of the ring. Cara looking to land a big punch, she is just missing with those though as Lily shows a good defence to block them.

Late in the round Lily spots her chance at a counter attack, leaning out the way of a left cross to come back with a sweeping right hook that turns Cara's head around. She drives forwards with a four punch straight combination. Cara trying to stand her ground, she is getting smacked back though by her opponent. The bell soon dings to end the round with both having a little swelling around their cheeks. Sitting on their stools with their chests rising a little faster, eyes locked across the ring.

Round 7:
Moving back out to engage; Lily is using a few more feints now as Cara is a little thrown off her game. A missed left cross by Cara leaves her open to a counter right onto her chin, a left hook has Cara looking a little shaky. Lily senses she is hurting Cara with these precision shots and continues to place her punches then swing for the fences.

Still two minutes to go and Lily lands a jab into the nose of Cara to bring tears to her eyes. AN UPPERCUT FOLLOWS AND DOWN GOES DELEVINGNE TO HER BACK!

Lily jogs to the neutral corner with her eyes on her opponent. 1....2....3... Cara groans as she rolls to her front. 4....5....6... Grabbing the ropes to slowly climb up them. 7....8.... She is up on her feet. Shaking her head before raising her fists to show she can fight on.

Back at it they go but the punches from Lily are rocking back Cara's head. Cara gets smacked back by a right hook that sends sweat flying. AN UPPERCUT SENDS CARA STUMBLING BACK ONTO THE ROPES! A TOWEL FROM DELEVINGNE'S CORNER COMES IN AND THE REFEREE ACCEPTS THE SURRENDER FROM HER COACH! WAVING THE FIGHT OFF!

Winner Lily James TKO Round 7

After:
Lily raises her arms looking excited by the victory as she has proven she deserved to represent her country. She turns to Cara to try to check on her but is weakly pushed away. Cara not wanting anything to do with the woman who has now beaten her twice in boxing. Cara telling her sternly to leave her alone. Lily glumly nods before walking back to her corner, hoping to put this behind them.

Cara has to be helped over to her corner, sitting on her stool blinking trying to clear the fog in her head. She is checked over but seems like she will be fine. Taking her gloves off to toss them to the sand to show her frustration. It's another sore loss for her as she shakes her head while staring at her feet as she is wiped down of sand and sweat.

Lily is being cleaned up too as she says to Angelica "I wish she'd put this in the past. Why she hates me I don't know" with Angelica telling her to ignore Cara. Lily nods with a sad look, getting her gloves off before she thanks Angelica for her support with a hug.

It is Lily heading to the middle of the ring as Cara is helped out of it. Lily watches Cara go with regret that they won't be friends after this hard fought clash. She is knocked back to the present when her left arm is raised and she looks at the referee a little surprised. Nodding to them with a smile before posing with hands on her hips for the cameras.

Angelica makes sure to tell the cameras "this is the best in England!" Making Lily blush as she looks at Angelica, shaking her head with a chuckle. They both soon leave the ring together with Lily surely back in firm title contention after the run of results she has had.
