Princess of the Ice Hotel
Ch Selena Gomez vs Megan Fox
(Lioness Club of America vs VIXENs)
(50-27, 47 KO vs 81-36-1, 76)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: This is Selena Gomez's first defense of the Ice Hotel title and also the first time she meets Megan Fox in the ring which is slightly surprising given the fact Fox campaigned at flyweight back in the day herself. Selena moved up to bantamweight only in the 2020s but she couldn't pass on the opportunity to fight the tricky Hall of Famer before she passes the expiration date. Let's be honest, Megan still has years of physical comfort ahead of her but her mental approach might be a little suspect given how she's basically won it all ever since joining the VIXENs for a career revival in her 30s.

Selena Gomez wears a red crop top, matching hip-huggers & white gloves. Long black hair tied in a curled ponytail. Megan Fox wears a black & white crop top, jeans shorts & black gloves. Dyed carrot red hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Megan brings on the early heat in the cold and sprays several clean shots up the middle before she slips on the frosty surface and lets Selena back in the game... for like ten seconds until a big right hand catches the brunette on the jaw and has the redhead storming through in slugging fashion again. No time to waste any additional energy in the Alaska desert and it seems like Megan really wants to get this over & done with mighty quick. The only problem is Selena's resistance and response that allows her to slide away from danger even though that extends the challenger's prowl. Fox gets vocal when she drives more clean hits into the singer's face but fails to actually hurt her in the process so earns a lenghty stare from Gomez after the bell anyway.

Round 2:
Selena comes back to test out Megan's ab muscles and the enforced close range allows her to rack up a solid dose of hard punches while the redhead tries to spin some footwork magic to set her range again. She fails in her efforts and has to accept a proper slugging exchange - nothing wrong with that one until another slip sends Foxy into a vicious uppercut on the chin that opens the floodgates for a frantic Gomez push in the final minute. She blows up the older woman upstairs and pummels her back to the ropes forcing Megan to seek a clinching respite but another gut-checking switch slumps her into rare spasms and the reigning Princess runs away with bonus material in the closing seconds bashing more low harpoons on the exposed midriff.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Back & forth action follows with both women showing off their punching skills and while it's not a real surprise Megan can become a very aggressive character then Selena's evil factor is something that was always missing from her resume. She dukes it out in heads up fashion and keeps on going even when Fox cuts her up across the nasal ridge for the first noteworthy battle damage. Cue in some verbal bragging before a thumping left hook catches the Tennessee native on the chin and shuts down her slugging ideas for a while. Gomez comes back to secure the superior numbers but she's unable to close Foxy down along the ropes as the older woman shows impressive footwork to spin out of danger. Selena's pounce continues in the fourth but leaves her leaking overhand response once she struggles to coonect from the front (left) leg. Megan navigates the rush, cleans up over the top to flash that Hall of Fame poise and maybe she truly means business again at age 37. Gomez cuts a frustrated figure at the bell and even coach Eva Mendes realizes it could be hammer time soon.

Rounds 5 & 6:
Both women take a sudden breather in the fifth and they don't seem affected by the cold during the brief hibernation phase where they settle for single punching experience with Megan working on that nasal cut with inspired but ineffective conviction. Selena is happy to bide her time until jumping into a late slugging pursuit that ends with an accidental clash of heads that makes Fox more angry again. That translates into a furious leather rush to open the sixth where the challenger just takes it to the house trying to knock Selena's head off. The Lioness brunette dekes away from the looming danger but remains reeling for majority of the round and she can't even stick a proper counter-punching response on target either; she slumps down in the corner when one of Megan's heaters nails her straight on the jaw and it's more Foxy time in the final minute when she pummels the Texas native to the body and leaves her gasping for air in visible discomfort at the bell. Uh-oh! That looks serious enough for Eva Mendes to grab an ice pack and drill some holes in the corner post of all things.

Round 7:
Megan moves in to extend her advantage and maybe take over the Ice Hotel when she gets caught on the jaw one more time... she shakes off the hit and seeks a right-on-right exchange anyway but the Gomez smacks her on the ear and applies a furious uppercut charge that finally throws the redhead off her comfort zone.... another slip and Megan wobbles into a monster right hand that triggers a verbal rally from Selena for a change. She evens the battle scar count when she tears a small gash under Megan's left eye but then drops a rare punch on the solar plexus that catches the older woman cold. Ugh! Megan tries to catch her breath yet inhales nothing but Alaskian frost and gets rendered immobile for a split second just as Selena takes that desired free haymaker punch that SMOKES the challenger on the nose and DROPS HER DOWN ON THE CANVAS. Megan is dumped like yesterday's milk in the trash can and descends into worrying spasms while still unable to catch her breath back as the merciless count slowly passes her by. She tries to lift herself off the elbows but slumps onto all fours as the high-water mark and her very promising Ice Hotel challenge comes up short in the end. KO7 and STILL the Princess of the Ice Hotel Selena Gomez!!!

AFTER: That was a hard-earned victory for Selena in her first ever meeting with the Hall of Famer. In fact Megan Fox led the fight on points after six rounds to indicate she's still very much a threat for anyone in the division and beyond - fake red hair or not. She tries to hide her disappointment during the post-fight festives and claims Selena got a little fortunate with that 'freeze' moment in the seventh which might be true but it shouldn't take anything away from the brunette's maiden title defense. Selena came a long way to claim ANY piece of silverware and she's got no time pleading her case. Not without a bottle of tequila in sight anyway! The two heroines make their way to the Ice Hotel bar and apparently they found a common enemy within the division that requires exchanging some private notes!

Official Result: Ch Selena Gomez def. Megan Fox KO7.
