Intro:
It is main event time here in the Mexico City Arena with two proud Latinas doing battle. Jenna Ortega is looking to move up the rankings into a title position soon enough, this would be a big step if she can defeat the woman who nearly won the title only two weeks ago against Vanessa Hudgens. Cierra Ramirez nearly won her first ever title and now will look to recover here in Mexico against another young rival.

Both women were at the press event the night before after a little trash talk had been shared throughout the build up through their social media accounts. They met face to face on a stage with the Mexican flag hanging on the wall behind them. Jenna is wearing an emerald dress and heels. Cierra meanwhile wore all black.

Coming nose to nose, the tension was clear between them as this is a fight clearly both have wanted in a while. There's a few whispers between them with both looking more furious by the second. Something seems to set them off as Jenna gets a two handed shove to her chest by Cierra, knocking Jenna out of her heels. Back comes Jenna with her own shove to force Cierra out her heels.

Barefoot now both rush each other but the security has gotten on the stage to pull them back. Jenna yelling "let me at her!" As Cierra roars back "come on then puta!" As their management teams come on the stage looking to cool off their fighters.

It looks like things have cooled off as both as both hold their hands up. As Jenna moves to go get her heels, Cierra sees her chance and lunges to grab the hair of her rival. Yanking at it and tugging a whining Jenna as she steps backwards. Security struggles but does get her off with a few strands of Ortega's hair in between her fingers. Jenna stares up red faced looking ready to kill Cierra if she got the chance to get to her.

Both are led off the stage as it is clear that things are too heated between them. Jenna yelling "I'll f**king crush that bytch!" As Cierra looks like a Cheshire cat. Telling her people that she is going to enjoy battering Jenna when they meet in the ring. There won't be any security to hold them apart.

Fight Night! Out first comes Jenna with her coach Anne Hathaway. Jenna is wearing a green sports bra with white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with green thumbs, hair is braided. She looks ready for war as she steps into the ring as fans chant her name. Anne telling her to keep her cool as she watches Jenna pace in her corner like a viper ready to strike.

Cierra heads out to her own loud roar with the Mexican flag draped over her shoulders. She has Roselyn Sanchez working her corner tonight as some whistle at both from ringside. Cierra steps into the ring wearing a red sports bra with green trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with green thumbs like her opponent, hair braided too. Cierra stares over at Jenna with a grin as she clearly can't wait to start this fight.

The referee takes the risk of bringing the fighters together for the final instructions to be read out. All the while both women exchange insults and threats. They are being kept apart by the referee and there is no touch of gloves, no respect at all. Returning to their corners as the referee takes a deep breath, knowing they could be busy here. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" Both women come out the blocks quickly to start exchanging in close range. Fists doing the talking now as both women nearly clash heads at times trying to force the issue. It's Jenna who breaks the deadlock with a sneaky uppercut to snap back the head of Cierra.

While Cierra seemed happy she was getting into her opponents head in the build up. It is the fists of Jenna that is controlling the action inside the ring at this moment. Cierra finding herself cornered with her coach yelling at her. Jenna switches to the body when her punches are being guarded from. Making Cierra grit her gumshield.

Back comes Ramirez after landing a short left hook on the ear of her opponent. Cierra steps forwards to drill in two short body shots, making Jenna retreat back into space. It isn't long before they are in tight holding and hitting, referee warning them when they are broken up. At the bell a few rude words are exchanged before they walk back to their corners.

Round 2:
After tapping her cheeks with her gloves; Cierra comes out looking to be fully focused. Hammering more punches into the chest of Jenna, Cierra is moving her upper body more to make her opponent dodge and then strike her to the face. Jenna thinking about it as she takes a step back, getting clocked with a short left across her cheek as she does so.

Before Cierra can get too cocky, she walks into a left cross to keep her honest. Jenna closes in on her as they exchange to the torso, hot breath from each fighter going on their opponents face. The crowd is on its feet loving seeing these two petite warriors duking it out in close and personal.

Cierra though nudges back Jenna with her left forearm, following with a right hook on the lips of Ortega to make her cry out as she backs off. Cierra now crowds Jenna onto the ropes, swinging in a range of punches as she grunts with effort, making Jenna shell up. The round soon comes to an end with Cierra staring down Jenna, as if to tell her whose the boss of the ring. Referee stepping in to make sure they stick to the rules and return to their corners.

Round 3:
Both come out swinging to start, wanting to grab control early of the round, there's as much leather hitting the others shoulders and arms as they do land flush. Jenna steps inside with land a short left hook to the ribs of her rival. Getting a right hook in return that looks borderline around the back of the head.

The referee either didn't notice or is going to let it go as Cierra backs up Jenna with several piston like body shots of her own. Jenna needing to clinch as insults are whispered into her ear. Both are pushed apart when kidney shots are traded. Eyes full of fire on both gorgeous women as this fight means the world to them.

Back they go with Cierra starting to land the cleaner punches on the inside, Jenna getting a little sloppy as she is letting her emotions get to her. Cierra bullies her back into a neutral corner after landing an uppercut to knock back Ortega. The round ends with Ramirez showing why she was nearly a world champion.

Round 4:
After a stern telling off from her coach Anne. Jenna starts to use her jab more to set up her punches. Cierra a little thrown off as she expected another rush. Instead Jenna is starting to lay in some nasty shots around the face of her foe.

A small mouse forms under the left eye of Cierra. She comes firing back around the chest of Jenna to make the younger woman hiss. Slamming more punches into each others abs when they get right into each others grills. That leads to them clinching up as the crowd is chanting for both women in this electric atmosphere.

They are split apart with Jenna quick to land a double jab into the face of her rival. Cierra finds herself being herded around the perimeter of the ring as Jenna shows off her combination punching. The bell ends the sound with Cierra looking annoyed at herself as she heads to her corner.

Round 5:
Both women are coated in sweat with red marks on their cheeks. They fight on with Cierra crouching more to get under the jab of her opponent. Both women starting to use more tactics then bull rushing each other. Cierra lands a nice left cross on the chin of Jenna to back her off. A follow up straight to the lips of Jenna opens her up to a short left hook.

Jenna now the one finding herself moving around the outside of the ring. Cierra using more skirmish style attacks to get inside to work and then move back out. Jenna landing several punches back into the face and chest of Cierra but she isn't able to hold off the older fighter.

That's till late in the round she catches Cierra around the left eye with a straight, a short right hook follows as Ramirez cries out and backs off. Jenna coming at her with hooks till she is held onto, both women landing rabbit punches to the back of the others head till they are split apart. They have one final exchange of fists just before the bell rings.

Returning to their stools, they lock eyes in a venomous stare down. Both corner crews working to wipe down and prepare their fighters as the crowd are chanting for the boxers. Cierra looking the more comfortable even as that mouse looks to be bugging her when it is worked on.

Round 6:
Neither woman is wanting to back down an inch as they kick off the round fighting around the middle of the ring. Jenna feints before ramming a straight into that left eye of Ramirez to make it swell up more. Cierra looking worried as she backs up and Ortega comes after her with a flurry of punches, not all land but they are keeping Cierra under wraps until she can dip under a straight and move into safety.

Cierra comes back with short body shots to make Jenna grimace as she winces. A forearm to the chest of Cierra though opens her up to a right on that eye again to make her cry out. The momentum has certainly swung into the favour of Ortega as she backs up her foe with more punches in bunches aimed at her face.

Needing to hold and hit more, Cierra looks pissed off as her gumshield is being gritted between her teeth. Jenna trying to break free each time but they nearly trip up with legs getting tangled. The fighters stare hard at each other as the bell rings. Jenna with a very strong round there as Cierra can't believe she is being caught by the younger woman.

Round 7:
While the left eye of Cierra is giving her trouble, she is still plugging away as best as she can on the inside. Working the torso of her opponent till Jenna can nudge her off. More punches come towards the face of Cierra, she is moving her upper body more and using her left to protect that swollen eye as best as she can.

Still Jenna lands some crisp punches into the face of Cierra to back her up. The lack of experience in a fight as big as this for Jenna shows itself though as she lets her guard down and an uppercut catches her out to push her onto her heels. Cierra pounds her to the face with cross punches. Driving Jenna onto the ropes to the delight of the Latina Knockouts corner crew.

Now it's Jenna needing to hang onto her as blood runs from a cut bottom lip. Again rabbit punches are traded as both women are warned about that. They resume with more stiff straight punches landing into faces. The round ends with Cierra showing she isn't going to quit this bout. Neither is Jenna as she wipes the blood off her chin and scowls at the stain on her left glove.

Round 8:
Resuming the action around the center of the ring, an early straight into the left eye of Cierra makes her cry out as she backs off. Jenna sticking to that left side as the accuracy of Cierra is dipping. Jenna landing to the chest of her foe to open her up to bigger punches.

Cierra trying to close that distance but she is being pegged back by straight punches into her face. An uppercut opens up Cierra to a left hook on the jaw to twist her head as the punches are adding up and she looks to be wobbling. A RIGHT HOOK ON THE CHIN SENDS CIERRA FINALLY TUMBLING TO HER BACK!

Jenna takes a breath with both her hands on her hips as she stares at Cierra. The referee needing to nudge her over to the neutral corner. 1....2....3....4... Cierra has her eyes shut as she groans. 5....6.... She covers her face with her left glove. 7....8....9....10 Cierra is counted out by the referee!

Winner Jenna Ortega KO Round 8

After:
An emotional victory for Jenna as she covers her face as she cried tears of joy. In comes Anne to applaud her fighter. Jenna walks over to her to give her a warm embrace, thanking her for all her help in preparing for this major bout for her career, one that puts her right in the title picture.

All the while Cierra is checked over by Roselyn. Who looks to help console her fighter as Cierra is looking wrecked. This has been a horrible two weeks for her as she had finger tips on the world title, now she has two defeats back to back to try to get over.

Cierra is helped to her feet as the crowd applaud her, she is taken over to her stool so she can be worked on. While the crowd response must feel nice, she is fighting back tears as her swollen eye is being worked upon. Roselyn telling her she will come back to Mexico and next time will emerge the victor.

All she can do is watch as Jenna goes to the middle of the ring to get her left hand raised in victory. As she is celebrating Cierra is helped out of the ring. The defeated fighter walking part of the way up the aisle before she stops, looking over her right shoulder with her good eye to stare hard at Jenna, clearly feeling this isn't over between them.

Jenna though of course is more interested in doing a lap inside the ring. This is a massive moment for the young woman. Anne smiles warmly as she looks proud of how far Jenna has come in her short career. They leave the ring together with Jenna looking to have a very bright future ahead for her, maybe one involving the world title.
