3. Lily Collins vs Emma Watson (Race to the Hall-of-Fame/III)

Lily:

BEFORE:
Barely two weeks after Emma’s return KO of rival Lily Collins, the latter pressed for the gauntlet series to continue, Lily insisting that her British counterpart’s victory was a fluke.

“Ems got lucky, that’s all. I didn’t expect to win all five fights in a row, so if she takes one fight or two, that still won’t save her,” Lily says with renewed confidence earlier. The Vixen is wearing a black sports bra and white boxing trunks, and tying red tape over her fists. “No more gimmicks for our third showdown. It’s gonna be just Ems and me in there.”

“I couldn’t agree more with dear Lils,” Emma says next, from footage from another locker room. The British starlet is looking chirpy indeed after her previous victory over Collins two weeks ago, when she proved to her rival that she ain’t just a pretty face. “It’s a classic case of ‘Be careful what you ask for’, Lils. You wanted a brawl to the finish line. Well, you’ve got it.”

Ladies meet for the third time in the Race to the Hall-of-Fame, with little else to be said between the two, as they stare each other down opposite the ring with their hands planted on their hips, lips upturned in a mutual smirk.

Obviously no touch of the gloves as the referee sends them back to their corners. The VIX Headquarters & Gym is packed to the brim with well-wishers on both sides of the aisle, eager to see which girl takes the lead in this epic, drawn out contest.

Referee waves her hand for the opening bell, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Lily on the rampage, coming in hot and clearly wanting revenge. She opens up with hooks to Emma’s arms, then straight away bashing at the tummy, wanting to end this so-called ‘race’ as soon as possible. Emma grunting, taking damage to her body, but then whipping her head to the side with return shots, Watson showing much grit of her own despite her less-than-stellar reputation, at least compared to the rest of the VIX Flyweight roster. These are both former Flyweight champions circling and hammering each other with nasty blows, but it’s also a personal vendetta that might just push one girl over the edge, leaving the other in the dust. Lily lands another left hand to the ribs before rocking Watson’s head back with a high cross, securing the opening round, but just barely.

ROUND 2:
Emma fends off another early assault from Collins, who stalked in at the sound of the bell and slammed a flurry right into her arms before reaching under to snag the tummy. Can’t blame Collins, who has those much flaunted abs to protect her torso, and knows her rival does not, at least not to the fame of hers. She barrels hooks to the sides and suddenly launches an uppercut under the guard to try and bash at Emma’s torso, but Watson is a little wiser as well, lowering her arms to guard against each incursion. Watson has had enough in the third minute, whipping a hook across her temple to daze her. Lily has her hands full suddenly, eyes bulging as Emma bangs another off her flanks, then buries an uppercut straight into her gut to fold her in half. Bell rings soon after and both girls are left breathing hard, but it’s Emma who edged out rival back there.

ROUND 3:
AND BOTH FIGHTERS WANT TO BRAWL! Lily and Emma snarling and shouting insults from a distance, arms spread wide and daring the other girl to do their worst! They BANG away at their bodies as if by mutual disagreement, Emma rocketing a left-right hook into Lily’s tummy but then grunting as Collins shrugs it off and plows a right hand straight up into her belly. Emma’s left gasping and retreating, tried to go tummy-to-tummy with her VIX rival and paid the price, now getting hounded towards the ropes with more lunging hooks. Emma manages to hold her ground with her back almost at a dead-end, poking that jab straight to one of Lily’s eyes, making her pause just long enough to create distance to the side. Bell sounds and Collins has the upper hand this time, cursing but with a grin, and warning Watson not to mess with her abdominal superiority.

ROUND 4:
But it looks like Miss Watson didn’t get the memo! She chops a hook into Lily’s undercarriage in the opening seconds, feinting to the head with a left hand before scoring off the side tummy with her right. Collins groans, immediately fights and swings through the pain with a serious combination of her own, but the expert counter-fighter expected this, socks her rival to the face with more punches to drive Lily back! Collins not used to playing defensive, especially when her own punches are not hitting home, and instead, Emma is the one pressuring her backwards, slick shots grazing her nose and lips before the Harry Potter starlet punts and prods at her torso, sinking another uppercut right into her belly button to throw her into further disarray. At the bell, Emma looks supremely confident, raising a hand high and enjoying the return cheers from her corner of the arena.

ROUND 5:
Lily’s fight schedule has slowed down significantly after matching Emma’s record last December, but that residual strain might still be hounding her. The former champ is moving sluggishly to start the fifth, finally realizing that an all-out rush isn’t going to work its charm like before, at least not against the fresher Emma Watson. What Lils doesn’t expect, however, is a sudden rush from her British counterpart instead, Watson surprising her with a flurry to the head here, then her fists banging off her sides and ribs there, before Watson punishes her with a hard overhand to the side of the ear. Collins is getting PUMMELLED in there, and what started off as confidence in her own abilities to get the job done has quickly descended into a desperate ploy to get away and fight another day! But Watson NOT allowing it, leaping in and rocking the leaner Collins all over the head and body, another hook drilled low to the waistline to force a collapse and clinch near the ropes. There, Emma ravages her rival’s torso with a mixture of more hooks and uppercuts cut down the middle and upwards, Lily’s chin lifted THREE times in quick succession before Collins FALLS listlessly to her side, lying SPRAWLED BY THE ROPES! It's an early KNOCKDOWN for Miss Watson, who walks over her rival’s lifeless form with a big grin on her face!

Poor Lily has her bad fortunes repeated TWICE in a row now, and much earlier than expected, as she struggles to even push herself off the canvas, her head hung in shame and pain throughout the entire 10-count! The referee does his best to give her enough space to recover, but Collins is still shivering in pain as he passes the final count of 10! This third fight is OVER in even MORE dominant fashion from Emma Watson!!

Official Decision: Emma Watson defeats Lily Collins via KO5!

AFTER:
Good lord! Trouble in paradise indeed, as Emma’s earlier victory can no longer be denied! She’s pulled ahead in this epic rivalry, and now threatens to seriously derail Lily’s plan to win this race!

Emma is all celebratory and I-told-you-so in the post-fight interviews, telling reporters that she always knew Lily was biting off more than she could chew. “Now, she’s going to pay for trying to compete with me,” the British darling says with a smile. When she wakes up, we can discuss when our next fight is going to be!”

Meanwhile, Lily’s left licking her wounds, her head still hung and shaking as she’s escorted from the arena moments after Emma takes her leave. One loss might have been a fluke, but two in a row might spell trouble for Collins if she doesn’t get her act together!
