4. Kyra Santoro vs Sasha Pieterse II

Kyra:

BEFORE:
And now, another rematch on the cards, and a dangerous one at that for the Visiting Vixen, with Kyra Santoro first falling to Sasha Pieterse in just six rounds back in 2017, only a year after the Vixen made her debut.

“I was a different fighter back then. It’s been almost seven years since then!” Kyra says, smiling with realization. “And Sasha’s as dangerous as ever, so I’m not underestimating her abilities either in tonight’s fight.”

“She’d better not,” Sasha puffing out her chest from across the ring, the native Johannesburgian drawing a loud welcome cheer from the crowd upon her earlier entrance. “I thought Kyra had potential back then, and am glad to see her rising through the rankings. It’s still a shame, though, that she’s taken this long…” Sasha smirks, enjoying a rare dig at her opponent.

Blonde and brunette square off in the ring, gloves on their hips and both bodies brimming with knockout power. Last time, Kyra got overwhelmed by the blonde’s aggression. We’ll find out soon enough if the Vixen has learned any lessons over the years.

Santoro in a dry amber bikini, white gloves, her hair braided tight. In her corner, Luisana Lopilato giving her last minute advice, after falling to Pieterse just over a year ago as well. In the other corner, Sasha’s wearing a white sports top, red trunks, and black gloves, a smile still on her face at having defeated every Vixen thrown her way thus far.

Referee signals for the opening bell, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
And BOTH Kyra and Pieterse want to BRAWL! Blonde and brunette have big bodies and even bigger egos, striding in and swinging from the get-go! Sasha wants to prove that she’s still got contender status in her very first bout of 2023, whereas Kyra’s uphill swing for the fences means she HAS to get over this old hurdle if she ever hopes of pushing her way to the top of the Bantamweight bin! WIld swings landing all over their bodies and arms, both girls doing an instinctive job of blocking shots to their face, for now, before returning the favor with a low thud to the stomach or arms, each trying to break the other girl’s guard in the very first round! Santoro mixes her offensive charm with some deft swerves left and right, shocking Pieterse back with a well-placed punt to the chin in the late minute! It’s just enough to gain the edge over her rival, but Pieterse is already rubbing her jawline and vowing revenge for the next round!

ROUND 2:
Sasha surprises the Vixen with a jab combo in the opening seconds, leaping in all of a sudden before plowing that right hand straight into Santoro’s stomach! Ouch! Kyra heaving, mouth open, but chooses to STAND HER GROUND, banging right back with a hook into the arms, almost rotating Sasha’s head there and then! Girls get right back into the thick of the action, taking turns beating the other’s challenge back with a smattering of lefts and rights prodding and churning the stomach, before going up high with a knockout blow. Sasha’s gained the upper edge in the early seconds of this round, and sure as hell doesn’t want to lose it! She keeps up her aggression right to the closing bell, rocking another left hand under the arms to stun Kyra to the body. Santoro wincing, grunting, but vowing her own hell to pay going forward!

ROUND 3:
Santoro makes a mad dash inwards as the bell rings, but her swing for the fences is too early, too keen! Sasha easily avoids it with a swerve of her head backwards, before slamming a right hook into the side of the Vixen’s head, throwing her to the side with a loud grunt. Blonde big girl walks the brunette down, once more ramming her fists into either side of her body, and even taking a pot-shot or two at Kyra’s jugs. Santoro grunts, eyes shut but trying to reopen them and reorganize her stance. She’s forced to be defensive for the remainder of the round, however, blocking more than punching, and allowing her foe to take the biggest round of this fight for her corner, so far!

ROUND 4:
Sasha is slowing down but it’s a mere consequence of her constant chasing! She’s surprised, however, by Santoro’s constant pressure that ramps up even further! Santoro ignoring the abuse suffered last round and immediately wading right back in, ready for round 4! Pieterse is getting blasted by big hooks to her arms, and her own heavy hooks are missing or hitting the guard. Still, she’s getting pushed around the ring, each of Santoro’s punches stunning her badly from both the power and quantity. Kyra’s like a human dynamo as she chugs another left-right combo into the tummy, before rocketing an uppercut into the middle of her arms, almost snagging the chin into orbit if Sasha hadn’t hastily covered up. Pieterse tries to fend off the assault with plenty of jabbing action, but each poke to Kyra’s face only makes her madder, as the Vixen rushes in towards the bell to hammer at her sides, blast her to the body once more and send her butt through the ropes! Sasha groans and covers up, but thankfully is saved by the bell! Wide round for the Vixen right back, who brawls her way back into contention!

ROUND 5:
Pieterse still trying to stay afloat in the fifth, fending off another early rush from the contender. Kyra’s the one with the tougher and most consistent fight schedule, so the Vixen is making the best use of her stamina reserves, and must be smelling blood for her to keep pushing like this. She stays her hand until the opportune moment, either when Sasha is gearing up for a strike of her own, or the PLP starlet lands a punch to her body and tries to go in for a follow-up. Santoro squashes her ambitions, a right cross shoved into her lips here, another thunderous hook slammed into her ribs there, constantly making her lose out on aggregate. Sasha soon is looking both winded and wounded, crouched over by the ropes at the end of the first minute, and prime candidate to TAKE ANOTHER BIG SWING to the temple, which SWIVELS her about on the spot! DOWN THE BIG BLONDE goes, landing onto her side with a mighty grunt! It’s a KNOCKDOWN in the fifth round for Kyra Santoro, who ROARS and pumps her arms in victory!

Pieterse may be DOWN, but she ain’t OUT, folks! The blonde looks shaken but is slowly pushing her way up, using the ropes for assistance. Kyra is ready and waiting for her, the Vixen’s thick and bronzed body pulsing with sweat and leftover power. Even as Pieterse regains her footing by the count of 8, Kyra’s already set her feet forward, arms up and just ready to rip back in for the remaining two minutes!

Bell rings to resume and Pieterse’s got an uphill climb ahead of her indeed! Kyra making a beeline straight for her, her head bobbing left and right in case of a surprise attack before she SLAMS the straight cross up into her face! Sasha groans, too slow and too out of sorts to effectively respond, getting her head knocked back and to the side as Kyra STAYS on top of her the entire way down the ropes! Pieterse just needs to keep her arms up and survive to the next round, but a nasty double-lunge to the gut has her heaved over and wavering, arms barely back up in time for that follow-up hook across her cheek! Sasha spins a couple of times, and throws her body weight over the top rope, her mouth hanging open and eyes wide in shock! That’s it! The referee’s SEEN ENOUGH!! He jumps in to cover the blonde up!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Sasha Pieterse via TKO5!

AFTER:
Redemption tonight for Santoro, who once again iterates for the crowds: “This is MY year! Demi had better watch out, because this ass is going to be sitting on her face by the end of April!!”

Meanwhile, Pieterse still looks stunned after sinking down the referee’s arms, then pooling on her back by the ropes. It’s a disappointing run for the PLP starlet, who suffered her very first loss against a Vixen in an already illustrious career.

“Kudos to Kyra, who deserved to win tonight,” Pieterse later speaks to reporters, shaking her head but acknowledging her opponent’s superiority. “Whether she has what it takes to be champion one day is still unclear. Meanwhile, I don’t plan on letting another Vixen beat me… ever.”
