VIX: A Final Knockout @ the Kia Forum

1. Alyssa Lynch vs Emily VanCamp (Body Saddle)

Alyssa:

BEFORE:
Not the best of years for Miss Lynch, despite her repeated promises to do better at the start of each calendar. She’s gone 4 wins to 4 losses within these opening three months alone, and pledges to work harder against some of the other budding Bantamweights in the division.

“I’m happy for Kyra - if she takes the title from Demi, she’s gonna be up there with the top Bantamweights,” Alyssa says. “But I can’t help but wonder when it’s gonna be my turn. I believe beating Emily is going to be one step in that direction. The body saddle stipulation is just an unfortunate aftertaste you’ll have to swallow, babe. I hope she doesn’t mind…” Lynch says with a smirk.

“I remember being that young and ambitious,” Emily responds from across the room. “But I also remember that it got me nowhere. I hope Alyssa sits back and starts to evaluate her options and future. Because after I beat her tonight and ride her about the ring with HER own freakin’ saddle, she’s gonna wonder if she can do this boxing thing for another ten years.”

Tense staredown at the podium as blonde and brunette get in close and personal, noses almost touching and eyebrows angled in mutual glares. Alyssa’s got loads to prove, but so does VanCamp, who hasn’t won a fight in almost three years. They separate without further incident, though the rest of us are left wondering if that missing handshake between the fighters counts.

We’re LIVE! from the nearby Kia Forum and ready to go for ten rounds of Bantamweight action tonight! Three matches on tonight’s card, which of course culminates in a FINAL showdown between heated rivals Lily Collins and Emma Watson.

But first, Alyssa and Emily make ready at opposite ends of the ring. Lynch is in a mint green bikini top and black boxing trunks, sporting red gloves. Emily’s gone for a simple black sports bra and long yellow leggings, giving her a dangerous look. Referee signals for the opening bell and HERE WE GO!

ROUND 1:
Emily’s making good inroads in the first round, not shying away from the younger Alyssa and immediately landing punches off her arms and stomach. It’s a good start to soften up the Vixen’s resolve, with Alyssa having also marched in but only to be surprised by the older blonde’s aggression. Lynch throwing punches to the head but mostly hitting the arms instead, then suffering Emily’s return lunges for her body to throw the brunette back with a lurching ughh! VanCamp PUSHES her foe backwards, showing none of that ring rust from her counterparts! Alyssa cycles back to a further distance, breathing hard and just looking shocked by this first round result against her!

ROUND 2:
Emily smirking early, coming in strong once more. But if she was expecting lightning to strike twice in a row, she’s sorely mistaken. Alyssa punishes her back by staying at a distance and counter-jabbing to her facial features, several jabs crunching into the nose, lips, and forehead one after the other. VanCamp’s trying to use her slight reach advantage to lunge for the tummy and over the arms, but Alyssa’s just too quick and agile on her feet, weaving or leaping out of the way, before suddenly rushing back in with a flurry to her face once more. Round ends and Lynch shows us why she’s the one with the tougher, more frequent fight schedule!

ROUND 3:
Emily continues to hold her ground, fending off a few assaults from the younger Lynch in the first minute. Lynch may have started on a bad footing, but she’s slowly pressing into enemy territory, shoving leather into the blonde’s body and arms, constantly pushing her back for the first two minutes alone. VanCamp has had enough in the third, landing a clean shot across the youngster’s bow, earning a grunt from Lynch’s lips. Before she can follow up, however, Lynch returns with a wild swing to the body, another heavy punch battering into her guard to send her reeling too. Ladies don’t want to give each other ground, and it shows!

ROUND 4:
Emily is getting a better read on the Vixen, however, disrupting her momentum with a series of left jabs stinging above the eye to throw Alyssa off her game plan. Lynch is getting stunned, her vision impaired, and her own punches are shooting off, off-target! VanCamp goes after her open body, prodding the belly with a left-right lunging hook combo to drive the air from her lungs, before shocking an uppercut down the center parting. Alyssa barely blocks in time, groaning as she gets a taster of the older blonde’s power. Rest of the round has Lynch protecting her face and keeping at a distance, with Emily smirking and slowly tightening the noose.

ROUND 5:
Lynch’s troubles continue as she gets rocked by a sudden overhand between the eyes, her wanton aggression leaving her more than a little exposed in there. Compared to the steady, focused VanCamp, the younger fighter is taking too many unnecessary risks, and is paying the price, as a result. She winces as another leading left jab makes impact with her nostrils, a return lunge to Emily’s face intercepted by the blonde’s firm arms. Vixen gets PUSHED back towards the ropes, groaning and shouting as Emily continues to PLUNGE leather into her face over and over!! Last shout of pain as Alyssa’s head gets rocked to one side by an overhand hook, which STAGGERS her! Emily POUNCES, walking her into the ropes with several more punts to the body and chin, before DOWN SHE GOES! Alyssa Lynch overwhelmed by the sheer number of swings, collapsing down to her side and looking shellshocked! Could this be an early UPSET for the older blonde?!

Count of 8 later and Lynch finally manages to recover, still looking shaken by the ropes and breathing hard, but up on her feet, at least. Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, VanCamp gives her a hearty smirk and gesture of her gloves, urging the younger girl to try and keep up, if she can!

ROUND 6:
VanCamp roars inwards again, hoping to end this fight! Early minute has her keeping on top of the brunette, with Alyssa left covering up and moving, hoping to stay alive instead! Several big BLASTS to the arms has the Vixen grunting and swerving, but Lynch manages to salvage her situation and get away, with Emily’s heavy and heavier swings getting more tired and slow, and more difficult to pull off. By the end of the round, Lynch is the one biting back, slow, steady right hands shoved clean in between her sagging arms, to knock the blonde’s head backwards with loud grunts. Bell rings and Alyssa might have pulled out of treacherous waters, though she still won’t be happy with her performance thus far.

ROUND 7:
Emily has switched into a defensive posture, which is great for turtling up and protecting your flanks. But it doesn’t account for that fire in Alyssa’s eyes, the brunette clearly wanting some payback! Lynch picks up the pace minute by minute, slowly rocking her frame with powerful combos before going up north to try to take her head off. VanCamp trying to block all of them at once, but her face is filled with a grimace when another overhand lands on her forehead, her arms instinctively raised to block any follow-up, but Lynch already sinking a straight cross into her tummy seconds after. Vixen is slowly dismantling her opponent, finally forcing her back into the ropes for a final sequence of swings: left hook rocking to the arms, swiveling her head and torso to the side with a loud grunt, before a step-in uppercut STUNS to the chin, making Emily CRUMPLE on the spot!! That seems to have DONE it! Lynch towers over her blonde foe, VanCamp slumping onto her side, then over onto her back, staring up at the stadium lights throughout the entire ten-count! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Emily VanCamp via KO7!

AFTER:
A sturdy performance from Miss Lynch, though the fact that it took seven rounds to put her older opponent away has left a bitter taste in her mouth. It doesn’t feel right to put Emily through her paces, though, with the older blonde having put in her best performance in years, and given the Bantamweight contender a run for her money.

Saddle is brought into the ring but Lynch refuses to strap it over the blonde’s back, instead simply rolling her over and planting her butt down into the small of her back. She’s as gentle as possible, cupping Emily’s chin from behind and raising her shocked face just high enough for the cameras to capture her handiwork tonight.

Then, barely a minute after ‘riding’ her opponent, Alyssa climbs back up and heads back to her corner.

“Credit to Emily where it’s due, of course. She put up a heck of a fight tonight. I’d bet that if she was fighting in her prime, we might have gone a full ten rounds,” Alyssa says with a nod, then a shake of the head. “Look, I’m not pleased by my performance tonight. I don’t know what that says about my future prospects, but I’m gonna take it one fight at a time.”
