BEFORE:
We’re LIVE in the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo, New York, the local gymnasium space transformed into a sports arena, with the VIX ring and banners adorning the space. Tonight, we have five fights on the cards, a mixture of guest fighters and Vixens themselves doing battle, and showcasing their skills!

First up, Madison Beer is all smiles as she enters the pre-fight press conference, wearing a black leather jacket and long jeans. Underneath, a tight crop top shows off her toned midriff, as she takes her seat at the table and addresses reporters’ remarks that she’s appearing a little too often on VIX cards, in recent days…

“Nothing’s signed yet,” Beer says, smiling a little sheepishly, and wondering if she’s even authorized to speak on the topic. “I’m of course grateful for the repeated opportunities to prove myself. I know I can grow in this league, and just need to get more fights under my belt.”

When pressed about her choice of opponent tonight, Beer turns serious. “I’ve watched Andrea on her chess streams, of course, and I follow her on social media. More recently, I got to watch her go up against Dina in the chess boxing match, and more recently, Michelle Khare, which she lost. She’s tough as nails, and I look forward to seeing what she brings to the ring.”

Botez is making her debut in the FCBA tonight, but she’s already got some in-ring experience, exactly as Beer describes. The Canadian master first made waves for her remarkable chess skills, but also backing it up with her physical prowess when she stepped into the ring to punch out her competition.

Earlier, she walked in with a cheeky smile, her dark blonde hair already braided out back, ready for battle. At the table, she was courteous but dismissive of Beer’s evaluation of her skills in the ring.

“I don’t think Beer should be making judgment calls about who’s better, given her own middling record in the ring,” Botez later says, effectively upping the ante. “Arguably, I’ve fought better competition and I’ve got the smarts to beat her in there. We’ll see who’s the last one singing, won’t we?”

Tense staredown at the podium as Maddy and Andrea meet on stage, facing off with their lips inches apart, chins upturned, and hands planted on their hips. At the signal to pose, Beer cocks her fists close to Andrea’s chin, another pressed into her tummy for emphasis. Botez ain’t intimidated one bit, responding with her own fists shoved a little too hard into the chest and belly, forcing a hard SHOVE to the shoulders from Beer, and a louder gasp of surprise from the audience, who are clearly anticipating a premature clash!

But the ring officials quickly step in, and Botez looks satisfied that the psychological damage has been done! She may be only two inches shorter than her opponent tonight, but she’s clearly got an equal confidence to boot!

Hours later, both fighters are geared up and ready to spring at each other at the signal of the bell. In one corner, Madison Beer is sporting a red sports bra and white boxing trunks, raising blue gloves at the announcement of her name. In the other corner, Andrea is in a black sports bra and shorts, bouncing on her feet and bunching up white gloves.

There’s the wave of the referee’s hand, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Botez asserts her dominance early with a swift and aggressive start. She moves around the ring with quick footwork, darting in and out of Beer's reach. Botez's jabs are precise and snappy, creating a staccato rhythm as they land on the head and body, each punch landing with a sharp thud, accompanied by the swishing sound of gloves slicing through the air. Beer, initially caught off guard by her opponent’s speed and aggression, tries to counter with her own punches, but Botez's head movement and evasive skills allow her to effectively avoid most of the hooks with an agile slip to the side or downwards. As the round progresses, Botez focuses her attention on Beer's midsection, driving her fists into the stomach with force, the thudding of leather blending with Beer's grunts of discomfort. Yet, Beer refuses to back down. She launches a barrage of jabs whenever she gets in range, utilizing her longer reach to keep Botez at bay in the final minute. Those jabs, propelled by Beer’s height advantage, momentarily push Botez back, creating a temporary barrier between them. The crowd erupts in a mix of cheers and gasps as the round draws to a close, with both fighters displaying their grit and determination. But Botez has clearly impressed the judges, who award her the round.

ROUND 2:
Botez attempts to assert her dominance by moving forward and pressuring Beer from the very start, jabbing religiously towards Maddy’s head in an effort to overwhelm and dazzle. But her momentum is abruptly halted by a thunderous overhand shot to the forehead, with Beer playing possum this entire first minute before timing her punch perfectly to land between the eyes! Ouch indeed! Botez didn’t see that coming, now seeing stars as the impact sends shockwaves through her body, forcing her into a defensive stance for the rest of the round! Beer’s turn to stalk Botez about the ring, lunging hooks at her body, her fists hammering into the torso with thudding force, only punctuated by Botez's grunts of discomfort. Beer then switches her target, unleashing powerful hooks aimed at Botez's arms, hoping to weaken her defenses in the long-run. Botez valiantly defends herself, locking her arms to absorb the blows and trying not o get trapped against the ropes. Her occasional jabs are aimed at Beer's face, but lack the necessary power to deter a most determined Beer. Beer continues to apply pressure all the way to the bell, and the round concludes with a clear victory for the former Lookout starlet.

ROUND 3:
Botez adopts a more calculated and logical style, in keeping with her chess background, carefully analyzing Beer's movements and then countering with precision. Beer, of course , is already trying to bully her about the ring, stepping in and taking big swings at her head, but Botez always keeps one step away, showcasing her footwork. Then, she lands crisp shots on Beer's cheek and chin, further showing off her patience and what a little finesse can accomplish. Beer has a look on her face of growing frustration, having expected her powerful hooks to dominate the fight, and put her foe into the ground by this time. But besides a couple of thudding hooks to Botez's midsection, she pays the price with more jabs finding their mark on her nose and lips instead. As the round progresses, both fighters maintain their distance, unsure of how to capitalize for now. And when the bell rings, predictably, the judges award Botez the edge in points.

ROUND 4:
In the fourth, however, Beer demonstrates her own patience, hanging back and allowing Botez to close distance with her strikes and weaves. The two brunettes repeatedly CLASH in the center, delivering jab combinations to each other’s heads and bodies. As the round progresses, Botez launches a spirited assault, unleashing a flurry of blows towards Beer's face while targeting her waistline with powerful swings. Initially forced to retreat, Beer quickly regains her composure and counters with a devastating hook to Botez's side, causing her to gasp for air as the punch lands on her side stomach. With impeccable instincts, Beer follows up with an uppercut that snaps Botez's head back, before sending her crashing DOWN to the canvas! Botez definitely got sloppy in those final seconds, having underestimated Beer’s power! Immediately, the referee slides in, intending to start the count, but one look at the KO’ed Botez lying on the ground, her head still turned upwards at an angle, both arms lying limp by the side, means he’s waving the rest of this fight OFF! It’s OVER, folks, by flash KO4!

Official Result: Madison Beer defeats Andrea Botez via KO4!

AFTER:
Beer looked troubled for a good sec in the early rounds by the newcomer’s energy, but that last series of punches has solidified the songstress as one hell of a power-hitter! Botez, meanwhile, still impressed despite today’s loss, showing off smart moves and some agility in the ring. Who knows? If the chess grandmistress keeps this up, she may yet conquer two worlds at once?

Rumors have already begun to swirl of Botez stepping into the ring AGAIN by the end of the month, having no doubt impressed her fair share of pundits in this last series of performances!
