There's a moment then where Virginie seems to falter, allowing Megan to land a quick lunging right hook to her ribs. The punch lands with a solid thud, drawing a wince from Virginie. The impact forces Virginie back even more, and allows the American actress to continue thumping shots to her body, which leaves Virginie grimacing in discomfort. But late in the round, Virginie counterattacks, catching Megan off guard with a well-placed left hook high to the temple. Megan staggers back but quickly recovers, not letting Virginie capitalize on her moment of weakness, as both women settle back into a defensive circling pattern, exchanging jabs to the head. But right as the round comes to a close, Megan manages to land a powerful right uppercut that cuts through the arms and snags the chin, forcing Virginie to take a step back. This last minute rally from Megan sways the judges in her favor, although just slightly, as she narrowly wins the round on points.

ROUND 4:
And it’s Virginie’s turn to come out swinging! The forty-something year old looks ready to regain her footing in the fight, barreling towards a surprised Fox and blasting her with a series of hooks across her arms. The Frenchwoman is definitely not letting age define her at all, instead pushing in with the rest of her energy, determined to give Fox a repeat challenge. She dodges a right hook from Megan, then counters with a well-aimed jab to Megan's midsection. Megan visibly winces, but doesn't back down, returning a left hook to Virginie's ribs. But Virginie absorbs the hit, and with an agile sidestep, lands a sharp right cross on Megan's cheek, forcing the Vixen to stumble back a step. A couple of tense seconds later, Fox charges right back in, throwing a flurry of lefts and rights. In her mind, there’s NO way the older woman is able to stand and brawl with her! Virginie, however, skillfully backpedals, dealing with the onslaught well by blocking and moving. And as the round progresses, it’s clear that Virginie is playing the long game, conserving her energy and landing calculated punches that gradually wear down Megan's defenses. In the final seconds of the round, it’s Virginie who capitalizes on Megan's fatigue, landing stiff blows to the cheek and forehead that force the brunette fighter to retreat. The bell rings just as Virginie lands another solid punch to Megan's jaw, tipping the scales in her favor for this round. Exhausted but undeterred, Megan wipes the sweat from her brow and squares up to Virginie once again. As the audience erupts into applause for Virginie's round win, the two fighters exchange a respectful nod. The fourth round goes to Virginie, but the fight is far from over!

ROUND 5:
Start of the fifth and Megan comes out like a woman possessed, her eyes ablaze and her every move exuding an urgency that wasn't there before. She clearly doesn’t like where this fight is going, and the sheer possibility of getting beaten by her old rival isn’t setting well with her at all. Virginie, on the other hand, steps into the center of the ring with a calm demeanor, ready to continue the fight, and dare we say… possibly win this. In the first minute, Megan goes on the offensive, her gloves assaulting Virginie’s position despite a torrent of return jabs that crunch into her own face. Virginie tries to keep up, to deflect the punches with her own gloves, but Megan is just throwing more volume towards her. Fox keeps pressing in without much of a breather, and each and every punch thrown seems to be backed by the full force of her body. Suddenly, Megan sees an opening. Virginie's guard drops for just a moment after taking a powerful shot across the bow, and it's all the time Megan needs! She takes a step back, plants her feet, and with a loud grunt, throws an overhand hook with all the power she can muster - BLAM!! Her glove connects with Virginie's jaw… AND THE REST IS FOR THE TEXTBOOKS! Virginie's eyes widen in shock, then roll back as her body goes limp. Almost immediately, she falls back onto the canvas, out cold before she even hits the ground! It’s a decisive KNOCKDOWN Megan Fox, who stands over Virginie, her chest heaving as she watches the referee start the count… But it’s no use! Virginie doesn't stir, her head rolling to one side, her mouth guard already halfway dipped from her lips! The referee takes one quick look and signals for the final bell! It’s OVER!

AFTER:
