2. Kyra Santoro vs Alyssa Lynch II

BEFORE:
And now, a rematch in the making! Fellow Vixens Kyra and Alyssa last fought years ago, back when both girls were newer, fresher, and less jaded. These days, with Miss Santoro having leap-frogged her fellow Bantamweights into the Top 20 of the Official Rankings, the busty American thought it was time for another crack at her stablemate.

“I’ll fully admit: I’m the one who asked for this fight, and Alyssa was kind enough to say yes,” Kyra says from ringside, uncharacteristically standing with her opponent shoulder-to-shoulder.

“It’s only fair that I kick your ass again,” Alyssa playfully says, giving Kyra a little nudge and wink.

“I think we’re both different fighters after so many years in the ring, so it’s going to be an interesting rematch.”

Moments later, Alyssa and Kyra are in separate corners of the ring. Lynch is in a green sports bra and short grey tights, red gloves. Santoro has gone for a simple white singlet blouse and red sports shorts, showing off her toned midsection and time spent in the gym.

Referee signals for the opening bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Alyssa showcases her speed, running around the slower, bulkier Santoro and hitting her to the face with multiple jabs. This is how Kyra lost out last time, with her bigger size making it difficult to get in close enough to blast Lynch off her feet. But perhaps the years of sparring with each other have softened their fighting spirit, and Lynch doesn't move fast away out of the way of Kyra's incoming hooks, allowing Santoro to land several stiff shots off the arms to throw her off balance. Alyssa can do better and knows it, promptly keeps her distance for the rest of the round, continuing to jab at her fellow Vixen's head. Santoro’s blocking better, however, before ripping a right cross in between the arms to end the first round on a slight positive. Lynch still takes it close at the bell, but Kyra would have caught up if it wasn't for the buzzer.

ROUND 2:
Girls both moving and punching with more strategy, Alyssa staying at range and pestering Kyra’s arms and body with jabs. Santoro is still having trouble keeping up with her counterpart’s agility and speed, finding her hooks dashing the forearm but barely making contact on actual score-worthy parts. She slams another right cross to the center of her guard, hoping to surprise Lynch in her retreat, but Alyssa simply responds with a fist of her own stuck firm into the nose, another one-two combo catching Kyra on her mouth and chin before the other brunette retreats. Kyra growling, narrowing eyes, keeps chasing, finally waits till Lynch jabs at her again before PLOWING a right cross right between the eyes, scoring BIG in the final seconds! Alyssa seeing stars, immediately falling back, shaking her head in pain. She fends off more big lunges at her, intended to take her down, and Kyra manages to score the upset close round here in the second!

ROUND 3:
Lynch not about to make the same mistake twice, however, circling at an greater distance in the first minute, firing jabs to keep Kyra at bay, and only letting her big guns loose when Santoro makes an unfortunate lunge towards her. Lynch in this way scores aplenty, stuffing that right hand clean into the center of Kyra’s face and also helping herself to several swipes of the bigger girl’s torso. Kyra, still underestimating her beloved foe, stops chasing only at the last minute. But by then, it’s kinda too late, with Alyssa positively glowing and still looking like she has plenty left in the tank over.

ROUND 4:
Santoro tries her hand at some long-distance fighting, and the results surprise her! Truthfully, both girls are the same height, with Santoro packing more power in those rotating hips. But that jabbing hand of hers is able to bang back into Alyssa’s space as frequently, responding to each flurry with one of her own. Alyssa grunts as another left hand catches her on the cheek, and before she can get away, she decides to swing a hook towards Kyra’s head, to catch her off guard. BIG mistake, as Kyra merely ducks and wades forward, BURYING an uppercut right into her stomach, which DOUBLES HER OVER! Lynch getting walked back, the mighty Santoro slamming hooks into both sides of the head, shoulders dipped low to hammer those flanks with power as well! Lynch gets trapped on the ropes, groaning as more leather gets stuffed into her midsection, and only after repeated clinches does she manage to save herself! Wide round right back for Miss Santoro!

ROUND 5:
And all of a sudden, things don’t look as positive for Miss Lynch, as she tries to restart her fortunes in the fifth with a dancing ritual, but Kyra Santoro just NOT wanting to play ball! Big, huffy girl just STORMING back in, both fists already up and ready to chug back into her space. Lynch groaning, trying to protect her chin but her torso taking a pounding from those repeated charge, Kyra just ignoring the jabs to her head and BARRELING inwards, left-right hup hup HUPS to the waistline before a final uppercut BLASTS into those arms, intending to break the guard and score the killer blow! Lynch holding on for dear life, getting walked down the ropes when another hook hammers her to the side of the head, and all it takes after is another glove packed into the pit of her paunch before her chin is TURNED TO THE SIDE by a mighty hook!! AND DOWN SHE GOES! Lynch sent crashing down to her side, looking utterly spent and unwilling to continue! Santoro gives her a genuine look of concern, but then follows the referee’s instructions to head back to the neutral corner. Poor Alyssa does her best to get back up, but it ain’t much use, her legs turned to jelly and her head barely lifted off the canvas! He hits the end of the 10-count and WAVES this rematch over!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Alyssa Lynch via KO5!

AFTER:
Santoro is gracious in victory, flashing a small smile for the cameras but then quickly heading over to Alyssa’s side to check on her friend. The two gals share an embrace while still on the canvas, with Alyssa heard urging Santoro to “Go knock Demi onto her ass on the sand.”

But before Kyra can challenge Demi Rose for the Princess of the Beach title, she still has to prove herself against some other Bantamweights, including a dismissive Emily Ratajkowski, who has been watching from the front row this entire time.

“I’m here just as a formality. I’ve already beaten her twice, so if Kyra wants another shot at me, she’s welcome to try,” Emily says with pouty lips.
