Saraya:
(30, 5’8, 1:6 FCBA, Queens of Absolution)

BEFORE:
A clash of titans has arisen from the ongoing Queens vs VIXENS stable war. Continuing their inaugural debut against a renowned stable, the Queens of Absolution had left the shores of Los Angeles and the United States behind for the foreign soil of Australia and the Sydney Showground. Tonight’s match was to be a special one: the return of Saraya to the ring. The press gallery was waiting in baited breath for the two fighters of this match when finally the silhouettes of six people could be made out walking towards them. Taking their seats, Kyra Santoro and Saraya didn’t seem to have any animosity towards each other but that was going to change.

“Look,” Santoro began, “I know that in a way I’m considered an underdog in this fight because Saraya has had all that experience as a wrestler too alongside her participation in the FCBA but wrestling experience isn’t going to help her here and her time away from the boxing ring will make it that much easier to put her face down on the mat,” the Calabasas, California native said.

Well, that statement didn’t go over well with Saraya who grabbed the wireless microphone in front of her while she stood up to face her slightly younger opponent. “Listen ‘Pumpkin,’ it may have been a while since I was in the FCBA ring but I can and will still showboat and make your fall as slow and humiliating as possible,” Saraya said with a certain level of snark. “You will go home tonight bruised both physically and in the ego - the audience, the reporters, they're not here to see you; they want me,” Saraya finished her snarky comments.

After a few tense moments, the raven-haired fighter and the brunette haired fighter stood face to face on the podium where photographers took amazing shots of the two women facing off.

A few hours later and the fight night event was here. The packed Sydney Showground almost had an audience split of fans there to see Saraya’s return to the FCBA and those that wanted to see the Queens vs VIXENS stable war which was shaping up to be an exciting contest.

First out, wearing a gray sports bra with matching trunks, brown hair in a battle braid, Kyra Santoro! Focused on the ring she made her way down, almost not acknowledging the cheers she was getting from the VIX fans in the arena until she finally made it to the ring and raised one arm up at them before entering it. She had matching gray gloves strapped on and began to shadow box in her corner for a few moments before it was time to announce the next contestant in the competition.

Having the flair for the dramatic, the Queens had been setting up little entrances to pander to the crowd - one thing you have to say for Jennifer Morrison is that she knows how to get the crowd riled up with a good show. As the arena darkened and purple hues glowed from the Queens entrance to the arena proper, lavender sparklers set off in perfect timing with the appearance of Saraya who was wearing a lavender leather sports bra and and low waisted lavender shorts - both pieces of attire adorned with black lining.

As the crowd started chanting her name she reached out to high-five some of her fans on the walk down the ramp to the ring. Meanwhile, in the ring, Santoro was rolling her eyes believing that the woman she was about to face was nothing short of overrated. Finally, Saraya made it to the ring and slipped under the ropes to get right in and into the business of intimidation.

The Norwich, England woman hastily made her way to the American woman taunting her with her infamously famous line “this is my house” as she got nose to nose with the American before the referee could break it up. Saraya clearly hadn’t lost her touch. Realizing it was likely going to be one of those nights, the ref explained the mandatory rules, but didn’t ask for either of them to tap gloves which was probably smart given the daggers in each of the woman’s eyes that just showed how eager they were.

DING! DING! Let ten rounds of FCBA action begin.

Round 01:
If there is one way to make a girl unsure of herself come out of a corner weary it is to intimidate them before a match. Neither woman taking any chances in the first, the match started out with circling between the two ladies as they tested each other with the occasional jab to the guard. Things started to pick up nearing minute two when Santoro went below the guard digging into Saraya’s taut abs. A little audible gasp could be heard from Saraya by ringsiders as Santoro, who also participates in the JMD division - put those skills to work, with several cruel fist slams in Saraya’s jugs. With a yelp from Saraya, Kyra thought she was going to have an easy put away.

However, as the final minute began, Saraya came to life with several swings to the temple and cheek. While not cutting into Santoro’s skin it certainly left bruising marks. As the bell rang signaling the end of the round, the gleefulness in Kyra’s bruised face could still be seen while Saraya headed back to her corner with looks of frustration.

Judges rule the round 10-9 in favor of Kyra Santoro.

Round 02:
The VIXENS corner did their best on the bruises that Saraya had given the model while at the Queens corner, Saraya was simply waiting for the next round, wanting to give off the persona of intimidation to a woman who was clearly uncertain of herself or her abilities. The interlude came to an end, the bell rang again, and round two began.

Right away, both girls were out of their corner wasting no time swinging at each other but this time Saraya was showing off her natural talent in the ring while Santoro landed a swing once or twice against Saraya’s guard before Kyra’s right arm was stopped mid-swing followed by three haymakers to the shocked Santoro’s face pushed her against the ropes.

Quickly pushing Kyra up against the ropes, Saraya laid punch after punch into Kyra’s midriff. Knowing she was in trouble, she fought Saraya’s technical strength for the clinch around Saraya’s body forcing the ref to step in and break the girls up to reset.

As the match resumed, Saraya kept control of the ring using her technical abilities to control where her opponent would be in the ring but with so little time left, neither girl could hope to do much as the round came to a close.

Judges rule it wide for Saraya.

Round 03:
Those punches to Kyra’s face really had the VIXENS crew working overtime to keep the black and blue swelling down. Fortunately, it didn’t seem like Saraya was actually targeting anything directly which made the VIXENS less concerned. Back at the Queens corner, Saraya jumped on the turnbuckles and stuck her arms out in a victory pose that was met with mixed reactions as the VIXENS fans were not happy with the early celebration by the English girl when the match was not over. After basking in the moment she jumped down and got ready for round three.

With another bell, the two girls raised their guard and came out at each other as if the center of the ring was a hill to be held at all costs. This time the two women exchanged punches to anything that was exposed: ribs, tummy, the occasional shot to the face. It was a fast paced brawling match as both women matched the other virtually move for move which in its own right was quite impressive.

The round came to an end and the ref had to break the two girls up either because they didn’t hear the bell or because they wanted to keep going. Either way, the Judges rule the round a draw.

Round 04:
Neither girl needed much patching up from the brawling match they had just had although it was especially apparent on Saraya how hard they were hitting each other with the red blotches of where fists had landed.

As round four started, it almost looked like it was going to be a repeat of the previous round until Kyra’s fist came in like a missile into Saraya’s left cheek hard enough to almost make the English girl fall to the mat. Shaken from that punch, she didn’t have much time to respond as she hit Kyra’s nose, causing warm, red fluid to drizzle down from it but Santoro powered through the pain by returning the favor with multiple missile-like facial hits.

Where did this come from? The VIXEN was having a second wind and although was not dominating completely given Saraya was able to return fire, she was doing more damage. Nearing the end of the round, Saraya plunged her fist into the American’s abdomen, forcing the air out of her as she went wide eyed momentarily. The bell rings and the English girl promises in a whisper to the American that “she’d make it much more painful for her next round.”

The ref split the women again and sent them to their corners while the Judges ruled the round wide for Kyra Santoro.

Round 05:
Half way through and while hurt, neither girl looks like they intend to slow down as they reach their corners although they are evidently holding parts of their bodies which emanated pain. Especially Kyra who got that harsh punch from Saraya after that beatdown to the face that Santoro gave Saraya. Both corners were working overtime to ensure their girl was ready for the halfway mark and they did as best as they could with the intermission they had.

As both girls got off their stools and the bell rang, neither charged at each other. This time they were fighting at range which was about equal given their nearly equivalent heights. Light jabs were traded into the other’s guard but as minute one continued, Saraya decided to step the war of attrition up a notch. Delivering two nasty cannonball-like punches to Kyra’s lower stomach which caught Santoro off guard and, Saraya went to work upstairs with bruising punch after punch to the nose and cheek as if she was directing an orchestra. As minute two came into focus, Saraya delivered a cruel uppercut that poor Kyra didn’t even see coming which took her feet an inch or two off the ground from the sheer force and made her land the canvas looking up at the arena lights.

“Stay down!” the English girl yelled as the ref pushed her to a neutral corner to begin the count. 1, 2, 3… the American was still dazed. 4, 5… realizing what had happened she rolled over and used the strength she could muster to get on her knees, 6, 7… Kyra began to stand, 8, 9… she barely beat the count to the annoyance look on Saraya’s face. The ref came over to give Kyra the mandatory and was hesitant to let the match proceed given all the bruises and dripping blood from her face courtesy of Saraya but now Kyra was fired up, even if severely weakened, and gave dagger eyes to the ref who then signaled in Saraya and the match continued.

Kyra only had to make it through the final minute. Wanting to get Saraya against the ropes she rushed at her but Santoro’s move was predicted with Saraya planting her right fist into Kyra’s face again before going downstairs to control her position in the ring as she boxed Kyra all the way next to the VIXENS corner. After that, all hell broke loose as Saraya sent fist after fist like cannonballs into Kyra’s face and tummy, forcing her butt in ropes as she hopelessly tried to defend herself.

After nearly twenty seconds of what was likely hell for Santoro, she was treated to several uppercuts to the solar plexus where her physical response made it clearly apparent that she could no longer fight. The ref waived off the fight as he came to the aid of Santoro while Saraya turned for the Queens corner.

Official Decision: Saraya defeats Kyra Santoro via TKO5!

Postfight:
“Get these gloves off of me,” Saraya barked and the Queens corner happily obliged while handing her a microphone as well. As the VIXENS corner worked on their fighter Saraya took her time to saunter in glory: “Let this be a lesson to you would be boxers out there, that this, this is what happens when you come after me. You’re not just defeated, you’re broken. The VIXENS have been sent a message and just to make sure they get it I promised she would be asleep on the canvas.” Saraya stating, that started a mixed reaction of loud chants of her name and boos from VIXENS fans. Seeing that Kyra Santoro was, mostly, medically cleared, she made her way to the VIXEN’s corner, dragged the American up and paraded her to the center of the ring.

As she stood pressed against Kyra, Saraya interlocked her legs and wrapped her arms around Kyra’s head. “Don’t worry ‘Pumpkin,’ I’ll make this quick” and with a smirk she lowered Santoro’s head to smother her. As the air ran out, Saraya could feel Kyra slowly weakening until she was limp which got a bad reaction from the VIXENS fans who thought Saraya was taking things a bit too far. However, for her last act, she let the limp girl go and fall on the canvas - asleep; grabbed the microphone once again, and infamously said it: “we are the Queens, and this is OUR house!”
