2. Alyssa Lynch vs Mia Khalifa II

Alyssa:

BEFORE:
A strong start to the Visitors, but the night is still young, the home crowd ever vocal, and the IBB team hungry to make their mark against a veteran stable of the FCBA. Up next is a rematch between Alyssa Lynch and Mia Khalifa, the former formerly falling to Mia in the latest Princess of the Beach tournament.

“That was a complete fluke. Beginner’s luck,” Alyssa says first with a shake of her head and abundance of confidence. “These IBB girls are stealing the spotlight and getting all the title shots, which I absolutely will not allow. Some of us have been doing this far longer, and better, you know?”

Mia not mincing her words either when it’s her turn at the microphone, rolling her eyes and then smirking back at Lynch from across the press table. “Maybe it’s because some of us are merely better in every way?” the Italian girl says, which draws a loud cheer of support from the assembled crowds. “I’ve beaten Alyssa on the sands, and I’ll do it again on home turf. Viva l'italia (Long Live Italy!)”

Ladies square off in the ring, and Lynch continues to tower over the short Mia, with a good five inches on her Italian counterpart. That height disadvantage proved nasty when Mia last faced off against the Dollhouse’s Bella Thorne, so it might be a question of whether the Vixen can enforce her strengths tonight, or lose again to complacency.

Referee signals for the second match of this stable war to commence! Lynch is in a red sports bra for a top, white bikini briefs for bottoms, and blue gloves. In the other corner, Mia has gone for her signature gray sports bra and long fighting tights, and white gloves. There’s the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Alyssa controls the action early, left-right jabs sent towards Mia’s head to shock the IBB girl with her longer reach. So far, so good, according to the VIX playbook: keep the shorter girl at bay with plenty of precision jabs, then scoot out of the way in case the overeager newcomer storms in to try and brawl. Mia receives lots of punches to the face in this way, but for now, shrugging them all off, keeps pressuring Alyssa to get into close quarters with constant movement forward, then taking swings at her head to scare her off instead. Alyssa is just too fresh, head movements fluid as she avoids the bigger blows, returns fire with a right glove shoved into the nose directly to cement her first wide round of the contest.

ROUND 2:
Mia’s blocking much more often now, and efficiently. If anything, she’s learned from their first fight that Alyssa might be a one-trick pony, and all she needs to do is lock her arms over her head and keep the Vixen’s punches off her. Her forearms take a beating, sure, but the vulnerable nose and lips are safe for now. Alyssa grows frustrated when another flurry is blocked by the guard, and she dips low to target Khalifa’s chiseled midsection instead. Bad idea, as Mia simply shrugs those attacks off even easier, then torques the Vixen to the side with a well-timed right hook to the head or two, sending Alyssa gagging from the shock. Mia’s got a firmer handle now, keeping up the pressure and allowing the Vixen to make the errors instead. She lands another stiff one off the brow late in the round, and Lynch almost gets staggered by the smaller woman’s power. Closer round than the last, but it’s clear who took it instead.

ROUND 3:
Mia continues to outplay the more experienced Lynch, surprising her with sudden swings to the arms, of course aimed for the head, and then suddenly dipping low to blast away at her ribs and body. Alyssa looks hella sluggish in there, not the best few months in the ring after recently falling (again) to Foxfire’s Natalie Alyn Lind, and struggling to stake her claim on these rematches. The Vixen continues taking pot-shots at Mia’s face, but apart from several bangers off the top of the head, most of the impacts are still to Mia’s arms and body, which she continues to shrug off like bulletproof armor. Instead, Khalifa bullies her way in with sudden flurries to the Vixen’s arm, then rushes in to batter Alyssa to the body, a left hook snagging the tummy and folding her over with a grunt, then another big overhand slammed into the guard to keep Lynch guessing. Far from conventional warfare, and that’s exactly how the IBB people like to play things. Round ends and Mia’s taken another close round for herself.

ROUND 4:
Some glimmer of hope in the fourth when Lynch rushes out of her own corner early, surprising Mia with a flurry of punches to her face of her own. Mia barely out of the gate herself when the punches come in multiple batches of threes, Alyssa suddenly pounding away on her defenses with force and speed. Mia tries to fight back, of course, but can’t quite keep up with the Vixen’s adrenaline, taking a hard swipe across her cheek at the end of a number to send her stumbling towards the ropes. Lynch baring her nostrils, following up with more headhunting strikes, almost shocking the Italian girl off her feet with another well-placed overhand delivered between the eyes. But as Khalifa gets cornered on the ropes, Lynch decides to switch targets to the youngster’s body, pounding away on her abs with several tepid uppercuts rocking into her torso. Points scored, of course, but Mia absorbs these a whole lot better, concentrating on protecting her head and chin instead, which allows her to finally break out of the corner and create distance for the remainder of the round. Wide round swings back to Lynch at the bell, though some would say she had the chance to finish the IBB starlet off there for a sec.

ROUND 5:
Lynch trying to repeat the success of her previous round, but lightning only strikes the same place once, and this time, Khalifa is MORE than ready for her assault! The smaller girl covers up as the first long-range jabs come sailing in, then planting her feet and simply BRAWLING with the Vixen in close quarters!! Lynch has bitten off more than she can chew, delivering a hook across her foe’s face but then taking several in return across her body, chest, and chin!! Look of shock across her own face as Khalifa rocks her across the cheek with a hard swipe, and THERE SHE GOES, stumbling off to the side with her mouth agape!! All Mia has to do is scoot in after the taller girl, continuing to blast away at her sides and back, till Lynch finally LOSES her balance and GOES DOWN!! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Mia Khalifa, and BOY does this scene look familiar!

Alyssa’s sputtering on her side, trying to shake the cobwebs from her head and gauge how much strength she has left to push herself back up. Mia looks on from the corner, with a smug expression on her face, both arms draped over the turnbuckle, her youthful body still brimming with energy. Even when Lynch manages to get back up and steady herself by the count of 8, the Italian girl is already readying herself back into her fighting stance, daring the Vixen to bring it on!

Round resumes and there’s still a minute and a half left on the clock! Mia’s taking her time, slowly walking in and seeing if Lynch has anything left in the tank or surprises up her sleeve. But several of the IBB girl’s attacks are going unanswered, with Lynch simply covering up and swerving to block some of her bigger attacks. Mia decides to RUSH in fully, blasting away at the Vixen’s arms, sinking more punishment into her tummy to bend the taller girl over with several grunts. Lynch barely making any return moves, simply covering up her head and taking it and taking it, till the referee decides to jump in and STOP the action!! For a minute, Alyssa looks confused, her eyes wide and mouth still hanging open, and when she finally sees the ref signaling for the final bell to be rung, sags into the ropes, looking both tired and outraged that the match has ended too soon. Tell that to Mia, however, who immediately rushes back to her own corner, glad to have evened the opening salvo of this stable war, and scored another milestone win in her fledgling career.

Official Decision: Mia Khalifa defeats Alyssa Lynch via TKO5!

AFTER:
A controversial decision indeed, but poor Alyssa Lynch doesn’t look like she’s in the best position to even keep herself standing, having to be helped to her own corner whilst still spewing expletives at the referee. Later, she speaks to reporters by ringside, still looking incensed at the situation:

“I could have taken her out if the fight went another five rounds. Hell, if the bloody ref had given me another thirty seconds, I would have stayed on my feet. I’m NOT done with Mia. She can call this a victory all she wants, but we both know this ain’t over!” Alyssa says.

Mia, on the other hand, looks ecstatic, later dismissing Alyssa’s claims and calls for yet another rematch. “How many times does she want to go down to my fists, huh? All excuses, she makes! If she cannot fight, she cannot win!”

For now, the stable war continues, with the IBB girls taking the second leg and showing off that home turf advantage!
