4. Eden Cohen vs Valentina Fradegrada III

Eden:

(24, 5’10, 15:5 FCBA, VIXENs)

Valentina:
(31, 5’9, 16:8 FCBA, Italians Boxing Better)

BEFORE:
Third time’s the charm, no? Eden Cohen understandably looking nervous in the pre-fight presser, after having fallen twice now to Valentina in under a year of competition, and now getting a third and final shot to make a statement.

“It’s personal, this time,” the Vixen says, with a nod. “I might as well pack up my suitcase, tear up my contract, and leave if I don’t win tonight.”

The pressure is certainly on, with Eden struggling in recent months to establish herself as separate from the pack, felling Kelly Gale recently but then going onto a series of high profile losses against the likes of Joy Corrigan and Kendall Jenner.

Her opponent tonight, on the other hand, continues to make a name for herself, her meteoric rise assisted by recently attaining the BBU Lightweight championship belt, and also besting girls like Cara Delevingne and Melissa Satta.

“Eden’s stubborn, and stubborn girls need to be put in their place,” Valentina says with a smirk, but her tone dead serious at the same time. “I thought I’d humiliated her twice now in the ring. This time, when I win for a third time, I’m gonna brutalize her so badly she’ll think thrice before stepping into the ring with me again.”

Ladies square off at opposite sides of the ring, both dressed skimpily and proud of it, as the crowds cheer and applaud with approval. Eden in a gray sports singlet cut-off at her chest, showing hints of underboob. She’s also wearing a pair of black bikini briefs and white gloves. In the other corner, Valentina has gone for a bright red bikini, drawing hoots as she stepped into the ring earlier in a pair of leather black boots and black gloves.

There’s more at stake here besides both womens’ win records - the IBB team needs a win here if they want to stay in the game and potentially take the win by the end of the evening. A loss here would mean the Vixens automatically win this year’s stable war.

Referee waves for the match to officially start, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:

Valentina establishes early on why she’s considered the premium fighter and warhorse in this race, meeting Eden head-on and immediately plowing a right hand straight into her face to kick things off. Not as though Eden was not equally eager to get started, of course, with the Israeli fighter also striding right in and throwing hands with her Italian rival, though her slightly lean figure means she’s losing out in the power department. Eden’s playing with jabs whilst her opponent is already at the stage of throwing hooks back her way, and the end result is the Vixen getting caught point blank by hook after overhand hook slamming into her arms and side of the head, continuously tossing her from side to side. Valentina also takes some shots to her face, but they pale in comparison to the damage she’s inflicting on the Vixen, and the IBB girl makes a promise to even the stable war score by the end of the night with a one-sided wide opening round!

ROUND 2:
Eden seething, and the fact that the VIX top dogs are pitting her in another fight she’s lost twice already in a row, this early, is another sign of her impatience at rising to the very top of the ladder. She’s made a ton of mistakes in the first round, now trying to make up for it with a wide berth. It works for a while, with Valentina waiting at a distance and then getting shocked by Cohen’s sudden flurries sent towards her head, chest, and body. Eden’s scoring aplenty, but is she doing enough damage to make a difference in the end? Fradegrada starts making inroads in the final minute, blasting a right cross straight into the body to churn Eden’s insides, then chasing the Vixen backwards with more combinations towards her head. But it’s too little, too late, and Eden merely backpedals for the remainder of the round to finally even the score.

ROUND 3:
More of the same, with Cohen finally playing to her strengths and keeping her distance for the first two minutes, evading Valentina’s attacks with her lithe and agile body slipping and bending this way and that. Valentina tries her hand at more aggression, but her big attacks aren’t landing the same way as before, as Cohen makes it infinitely more difficult with her own practiced grace. Instead, the Vixen punts the head to the side, another one two straight hands thumping to the belly and chest, for good measure, to further frustrate the IBB girl. Valentina needs to take a pager out of her own playbook, hang back in the final minute if she doesn’t want this third round to become a rout against her own forces. She does manage to surprise Eden with a punch or two to the body throughout, but for the most part, it’s Cohen’s show yet again.

ROUND 4:
So far, looking good for Eden’s third chance at scoring a victory over the BBU Lightweight champion, and arguably, the stakes are even higher tonight, with Valentina’s pride on the line and that of her stable’s. A loss here would immediately stop the IBB stable’s chances of winning this war in their tracks, and turn the home crowd against them in a flash. Valentina hangs back in the first half, blocking and anticipating most of Cohen’s flurries to her head. Cohen’s attacks do slip through on occasion, the sheer quantity of punches nearby threatening to overwhelm the Italian girl. But in the second half, Fradegrada rapping her own knuckles back on the Vixen’s hide, a left hand bashing into her temple before a right swing down low catching Eden on the belly button, and folding her over with a grunt. Ladies continue to engage in wild melees down the line, getting in close and going to town on the other girl with little regard to their own safety. At the bell, both ladies look weathered and are breathing hard, red-faced and chests heaving. It’s gonna be an effect draw this time!

ROUND 5:
Eden pushes in early, looking to surge ahead and secure an insurmountable lead here in the fifth. She starts with her usual modus operandi, drilling a left-right combo into Valentina’s body to get her to lower her guard, then planting her feet and delivering a stinging hook towards the side of her head. But Fradegrada is more than ready, taking the first two dings to her tummy and then holding her ground and bracing for the follow-up hook, which rattles her but doesn’t have the desired effect of sending her down for the count. Instead, Cohen’s caught off guard with a return slam of leather right to her kisser, another left hook driven into her cheek to ROCK HER TO THE SIDE!! Ouch!! Eden’s reeling, sent stumbling to the ropes, her lips parted and desperately trying to regain her footing!! AND HERE COMES FRADEGRADA, her nostrils blaring as she walks the Vixen down and continues to PUMMEL her to her body and across her chin, each blast sending Eden further flailing down the line! Things look DIRE indeed for Cohen, who’s barely trying to defend herself as well as hang onto her marbles! She takes another big hit across her temple, which SENDS HER OFF HER FEET, and down to the canvas, where she lies for the remainder of the ten-count, her lips kissing canvas!! Referee has no choice but to signal for the final bell! This THIRD encounter is OVER, with no change to the result!

Official Decision: Valentina Fradegrada defeats Eden Cohen via KO5!

AFTER:

“HAD ENOUGH, b*tch?! HUH?!?” Valentina practically shrieks down at Cohen in the immediate post-fight, not even bothering to shed her gloves as she mounts the fallen brunette and continues to rain punches down into her face.

Eden can only groan from beneath, covering her head up and rolling about, helplessly. The Italian mode and Lightweight champ not letting up, just holding Eden down by her shoulders and plugging her over and over in her forehead and face, till finally the ring officials rush in to haul her off.

It looks like it’s more than professional between these two, and despite Eden’s third loss to her rival, things are far from being over. In other news, Valentina’s swift victory has brought IBB’s chances back from the brink - it’s all down to the fifth and final bout of the evening, where the Welterweight titans will go at it to decide the winner of this stable war!
