The card opens up with top tier bantamweight action between brunette actresses Ana de Armas and Elizabeth Olsen. Olsen punched her ticked to the hall of fame earlier this year but the founding member of Fates has struggled since the start of this year with a pedestrian 5-7 record after an impressive stretch from 2020 to 2022 that saw Olsen go a scorching 38-9 including picking up the bantamweight title. De Armas holds an impressive 17-6 record and a victory over the stumbling hall of famer would be her biggest win to date. The women actresses are escorted into the press conference and they respectfully hug before grabbing their own mics.
“I have a lot of respect for Lizzie.” Ana says. “She was one of the most dominant forces in the FCBA and is a deserving member of the hall of fame. However,” the Cuban girl pauses. “Elizabeth was talking about for so long that she was still relevant and the measuring stick. She isn’t. Sorry sweetie but it is my time to shine. It is an honor and a privilege to fight you but I am going to give you the fight of my life.”
Elizabeth nods her head. “I know that this year has been hard for me even with the hall of fame but I know I can win this fight. De Armas is a good fighter and I am excited to step foot in the ring with her. May the better woman win tonight.”
Ana de Armas the first girl to step out to the arena and the Cuban actress receives a stunning round of applause from the near hometown crowd and the girl removes her robe to reveal a white bikini set with blue polka dots and solid white gloves with blue trim for the fight. The LMW girl shadow boxes with bantamweight trainer Summer Glau while she waits for the Fates girl.
Elizabeth Olsen steps out from the back and removes her robe to reveal a brown bikini set that shows off her features and has matching gloves for her outfit. Olsen mounts the ringpost to a few cheers but the crowd is definitely in de Armas’s favor. The ref asks the two women to touch rings and they touch gloves and bow their heads in respect before backing away as the bell rings for ten rounds of bantamweight action on sand.
Round 1:
Both brunette actresses are quick to exit their corners and the two girls trade jabs in the center of the ring before Lizzie connects with a right into Ana’s face and the Cuban girl gives up ground. Olsen methodical as she works around the older girl’s gloves. Armas quick to clinch and the referee pulls the two girls apart. Olsen feinting high and digging a left into ADA’s body but Ana catches the American girl with a left into her chest. Ana smartly goes to Elizabeth’s body and the Cuban girl is keeping it textbook. Ana just working on Elizabeth’s body for the long game and she digs in a pair of shots that cause the Fates girl to wince. Olsen clinches when she finds an opening and the younger girl tags her opponent’s ribs. The two girls trade close quarters punches and Ana catches Elizabeth with a right in her cheek and the American girl takes a half step backward. The bell rigns and Ana evens the fight on points.
Round 3:

Olsen with a left back into de Armas’s body but the Cuban girl takes the blow and snaps the American’s head back with a straight right. Olsen with a right as soon as her back touches the ropes and she connects with the bigger girl’s head but Ana wraps up Lizzie and the referee gives the break before Olsen can follow up. Girls trading jabs as the bell rings and Ana takes the lead on points.
Round 4:
Olsen told she needs to get her head in the fight and the Fates girl comes out mobile to start the fourth and she is making it hard for de Armas to land her jabs. Lizzie darting in for a stick and shift strategy and the American girl finds her strike into Ana’s body before shifting treating and sand then hitting her body again. Ana’s movements not as fluid and Elizabeth notices and starts laying into the bigger girl and showing off her power a bit. Olsen not known for a slugfest style but the Fates girl is a former champion and a member of the hall of fame and she knows how to hit hard when it counts. Lizzie splits Ana’s gloves with a right haymaker and the older girl staggers backward as she brings her gloves back together. Olsen goes for the follow up but de Armas’s gloves hold firm and the bell rings.
Round 5:
The fight opening up to start the fifth round and the Fates girl starts to connect with her punches more easily as Ana’s jabs aren’t as crisp. Lizzie showing her hall of fame pedigree and the Fates girl lands another right into the League of Mighty Women’s girl’s ribs. Ana backpedaling and Elizabeth chases after her and shoots out a right but Ana ducks the blow and connects with a left into Olsen’s chin. Lizzie now the girl giving up ground as Ana cautiously steps after her. Armas finding her jab and keeping Olsen worked back and vulnerable to the left hooks and the Cuban actress crashes a left into the American’s jaw that stuns the Fates girl. The bell rings before Ana can do more damage and the two brunettes return to their corners.
Round 6:
Ana darts out of her corner and she gets under Elizabeth’s chin early and the Fates girl is staggered! Olsen caught off guard and she barely gets her gloves up to protect from an overhand right from the older girl. Elizabeth plants her feet in the sand and digs a right into Ana’s midriff. Olsen with a left but it sails wide when de Armas buries leather into the smaller girl’s solar plexus and Olsen is hurt! Lizzie stumbling backwards and kicking up sand as on comes Ana. The LMW girl is relentless and she is hitting every inch of legal flesh she can find. Olsen driven into the ropes and the Fates girl covers up until she can clinch. De Armas and Olsen are separated but right after they are separated Ana is back to hammering Lizzie and she connects with a left hook around Olsen’s gloves and the American is stunned! Ana with a right left straight into Elizabeth’s chin and down goes Olsen! Ana to the corner as Elizabeth climbs to the ropes. The Fates girl grabs a hold of the bottom rope at six but she can’t pull herself up. The ref reaches ten and your winner by KO6 Ana de Armas!
After:
Ana raises her gloves with an impressive win over a fellow brunette actress and a hall of famer and the stunning Cuban actress poses for the crowd on the ringpost. Elizabeth meanwhile helped to a stool and despite qualifying for the hall of fame earlier this year Olsen’s record falls to a dreadful 5-8 for a girl who won 38 fights of 47 bouts from 2020 to 2022 and she is on a four fight skid. Ana dismounts the ringpost before giving Elizabeth a brief hug on her stool before leaving for the press conference. Tears seen trickling down Olsen’s face as the brunette grapples with her rapid fall from grace.
“Lizzie has been telling the FCBA for a long time that she wasn’t going anywhere.” Ana tells the press. “She has to admit she had her run and now it is over for her. It’s my time now.” The Cuban actress steps past the press with another statement win and what seems to be only a matter of time before she lays claim to the title.
Olsen steps into the pressroom minutes later, the hall of famer with a sad look on her face despite reaching the impressive milestone earlier this year.
“Ana was the better fighter tonight.” Olsen says. “I give her credit where it is due. She was the better fighter.” |
