Before:
Bantamweight action sees two girls looking to build their fighting careers as free agent Suzy Bae steps in the ring with newly signed Fates fighter and true rookie Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Natasha is fresh off a win on the beach and the Fates girl is looking to build her momentum early in her career. Suzy meanwhile looking to recover from two losses in 2023 and find the form that let her win her first fight in 2020. The two girls step foot into the press conference and sit down.
“I wish Natasha the best in her boxing career.” Suzy starts. “But I have no intention of losing to her. Fates is only good at managing girls at lightweight and welterweight. Natasha is going to be the girl I beat to get back on track.”
“Suzy has more fights than I do but I am going to win tonight.” Natasha says. “I won my first fight on the beach and I am not going to stop any time soon.”
Come time for the fight Suzy steps to the ring in a pink bikini set with black gloves. Bae paces around the sandy ring waiting for Liu Bordizzo. Natasha steps out from the back and the Australian girl wears a small red bikini set with matching gloves. The Australian actress comfortable on the sand as she steps up and touches gloves with her Korean opponent. The bell rings and off we go for ten rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1:
Both girls circling to start the fight and they feint at each other early. Natasha switches from her feints first and the Australian actress jabs a left into Suzy’s gloves before digging a right into the Korean girl’s body. Bae with a short right of her own to hit the actress back into her ribs. Liu Bordizzo gives a slight grunt as she nudges Bae back and connects with a short right to her opponent’s face. Natasha following up with a left hook and the Fates girl has the free agent on her heels. NLB hunting with rights and lefts at Bae’s head and the Korean girl’s guard protects her. Suzy ending the round with a counterpunch into Nat’s face to catch the rookie fighter by surprise. The bell rings and NLB wins the round on points.
Round 2:
Suzy picking up where she left off and the Korean girl hammers her opponent’s face with a pair of punches early in the round. Natasha retreating on unsteady legs and the free agent drives the Fates girl into the ropes and digs in a pair of punches into her midriff. Bae shifts her focus to Bordizzo’s guard and the Fates girl takes the chance to get out of the ropes. Natasha with a short right into Suzy’s ribs and follows up with a haymaker that flies wide of Suzy’s head. Bae with another pair of punches into Liu Bordizzo’s face and the free agent drives the Fates girl back into the ropes. Suzy keeping it textbook now with blows into Natasha’s body and the rookie fighter struggles to take the punches and fight back. The bell rings and Suzy wins the round on points.
Round 3:
Suzy picking up where she left off and she goes right for the rookie’s body. Natasha still getting accustomed to fighting in only her second fight and the Australian girl winces with each punch she takes. Bae keeping her focus on Liu Bordizzo’s body and the Korean girl is scoring easy points. Bordizzo struggling to find her offense and the Aussie clinches to force a break. The ref pulls the two girls apart and Suzy goes right back to Natasha’s body. Liu Bordizzo keeping her gloves up to protect her head and she starts to find her counters into Bae’s body but the free agent continues to fight back. Both girls trading blows to each other’s bodies and the bell rings and the round goes to Suzy on points.
Round 4:
Natasha told to get her head into the fight and the Australian girl feints left before sticking the Korean girl with a right. Suzy fighting back with a right hook that clips Natasha on her chin but the actress keeps herself upright and snaps the singer’s head back with a right. Bae giving up ground and Liu Bordizzo keeps in close with her opponent and hits her body. Natasha turning up the pressure and makes Bae’s ribs turn red from the blows. Suzy struggling to find a punch back and can only find the odd punch here and there as the Fates girl wears her into the ropes. Bae clinches for the break but it is only a temporary break and NLB keeps on tagging her ribs after the break. The bell rings and Natasha wins the round on points.
Round 5:
Natasha quick out of her corner and she ducks a right from Suzy to tap the Korean girl in her mouth. Bae snarls and swings a left into her foe’s body and Bae swings with a right overhand but the blow sails wide as Liu Bordizzo connects with a hook that knocks the singer off balance. NLB pouncing on her unsteady opponent and Natasha connects with a pair of hooks before digging in a shot to her opponent’s midriff and then an uppercut and down goes Suzy! The ref starting to count over Bae but the Korean girl is working her way to her feet. The free agent beats the count and the ref gives her the mandatory before waving NLB back in.
Aussie girl going to her opponent’s body but Bae is standing her ground and fighting back. Bae with a right into Natasha’s face but the free agent’s lost all of her power and the Fates girl takes the punch and snaps back her opponent’s face with a right. Bae staggers into the ropes and Liu Bordizzo hammers a pair of rights into her opponent’s face without response and the ref jumps in. Bae only held upright by the ref and your winner by TKO5 Natasha Liu Bordizzo!
After:
Natasha raises her arms in victory and the Fates girl has won her first two fights while Suzy is helped to a stool. Liu Bordizzo sheds her gloves and mounts the ringpost to the cheers of her name as the true rookie signed by Fates is getting her following even if her boxing is rough around the edges. Nat soaks in the moment before turning her attention to Suzy on her stool. Liu Bordizzo goes over to the defeated Bae and towers over her. Suzy looks up at the actress as the Fates girl extends her hand and helps Suzy to her feet before raising her hand to the cheers of the crowd. Natasha applauds Suzy before the two girls embrace and Nat heads to the press.
“Suzy is a good fighter.” Liu Bordizzo says. “I know I am a rookie and am still finding my form but make it known that I am here to stay. Fates has found another girl at a smaller weight.”
