Mini-PPV Event: Summer Winds Are Changin’

1. AJ Lee vs Brittany Snow

AJ:
(35, 5’3, 9:5 FCBA, Free Agent)

Brittany:
(36, 5’4, 6:12 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
We're LIVE on Venice Beach with a special three-matcher this balmy afternoon! It’s the fall of the summer and what better way to celebrate the coming of Spring with a mini-event on the sand and shores just meters away from the VIX Headquarters in Santa Monica.

Up first, AJ Lee returns to the ring to not only prove her fighting chops, but promote her newly formed wrestling promotion: Women of Wrestling (WoW).

“Excited to be here, of course, and to meet all my fans,’ AJ says first after making her way to the beach in a black bikini and red briefs. “I’ve always belonged in the ring, whether boxing or wrestling other girls, so I hope to put on a show today!’

Her opponent, Brittany Snow, is a famed actress of her own right, having starred in the Pitch Perfect movies, and now moving on to directing duties.

“I personally don’t watch wrestling, but all I know is that it’s fake as hell,” Brittany throws shade from across the ring. For a 36-year-old, the blonde is looking fit and toned. ‘This here’s an actual sporting contest, and I just don’t think AJ’s got the fighting spirit to really take it all the way.”

Steady glares as both women get into the ring, and the crowds are ready and anticipating much action for today’s mini-event. Brittany wearing a baby blue bikini and white gloves, her blonde hair braided out back. AJ letting it hang, her red gloves loose and shaking by either side. She’s definitely got the agility in her lean and toned figure, so it’s gonna be a clash of styles.

Referee calls this match to order! The sand dunes are hot and shifty today, so both women will have to be careful with their balance. There’s the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:

Brittany with a one-inch height advantage but is more content with using her bigger bulk to power shots at AJ’s direction. Lee is toned as f*ck but needs to be careful about getting caught by that right hand swing. Ladies trade fire in the first round but it’s mostly Brittany hammering the arms and tossing Lee to the side, Lee firing back with jabs to the face but they’re not always landing as much as she’d like them to. Snow stays steady, keeping her guard in place, able to absorb and take the jab combos no problem. Lee takes a side shot to the body and those abs can only absorb so much before the damage adds up. Brittany makes a statement early to take this round wide.

ROUND 2:
AJ uses her ring knowledge to move and weave, even faster than before. And the punches are also thrown higher and faster, slamming shots off Snow’s forehead to frustrate the blonde’s attempt to close ranks. Snow looks perturbed, keeping to her original strat or moving forward with her arms up, then swinging hooks at AJ’s head, hoping for that one lucky blow to send her foe down. But Lee keeps shoving her fists into Brittany’s face, till Snow’s had enough and deliberately takes a combo to her lips, thereby getting in close enough to land a stiff show off the side of Lee’s head, which sends the former WWE wrestler half-spinning towards the ropes! Lee might be in trouble! Snow rushes in, landing more uppercuts to her body, before going up high to the head for that killer blow again. Lee hangs in there, however, grimacing by the end of the bell. Good points scored either way this round, and the fight is just getting started.

ROUND 3:
Lee now knows what she had to do to pull ahead, and it’s much more than that first two rounds combined. The brunette moves in and out with speed, hitting shots all over Snow’s frame and arms before getting the f*ck out of the way of incoming fire. Snow thought that those big hooks to her foe would add up, slowing Lee down somewhat. But no dice - Snow grunts as she takes another left-right jab-cross combo straight to her lips and nose, and finally has to stay back at a distance to regroup and regain her bearings. Lee’s corner sees light at the end of the tunnel, and she keeps circling and harassing the blonde to the bell. Snow’s lost the first round of this fight, but that look of determination on her face is as strong as ever.

ROUND 4:
Leather gets crammed into Snow’s face early as Lee keeps the fast pace and doesn’t let up. Snow’s getting hammered to her body at multiple points, raising her guard too high and allowing the American brunette to drill in one-two shots straight into the breadbasket. Snow gets pushed back bit by bit, in danger all of a sudden of going down when Lee flashes a left hand high and then drives another right cross straight into the chin to blast her back. Snow regroups by the ropes, but manages to chase Lee off with a fast swing at her head, another low hook to the body to show her she’s still alive and well, and the bell rings with the two women standing at opponent ends.

ROUND 5:
Brittany looks steady still, and for all of AJ’s bluster, she can’t quite pack much power into her punches. Brittany takes the attacks to her arms, now bracing whenever Lee fires at her tummy and sides. Lee’s slowing down, getting tagged by a hook here, another blast to the arms to send her grunting back. Brittany slowly regains ground, sending Lee to the ropes in the third minute with another blast around the arms, catching her on the cheek. Lee wide-mouthed, lagging behind, but manages to fend Snow off one last time with a flurry to the face. Snow, however, gets in one more drilling shot to the body to fold the brunette over in half. But the bell rings before Snow can capitalize, and she has to contend with a closer round than usual.

ROUND 6:
AJ makes a renewed surge, impressive for her age given how much faster some of her younger peers are moving. First half of the round she’s winning, returning the favor with an early weave to the side to avoid one of Snow’s swings, then catching the blonde with a power swing to her body instead. Snow grunting, bowled over, but then returning the favor later with a stiff ding off the forehead to send Lee reeling once more. Lee can’t keep up the momentum forever, now panting hard as she tries to keep herself out of range of Snow’s power. But Brittany’s been working on a comeback for a while now, charges in at the last moment and again slams her about, Lee protecting her head with her arms but no match for Snow’s power - the blonde hammers her to the side stomach before almost sending her off her feet with a big blast to the arms. Another effective draw, but by this point, both fighters are bound to be tiring.

ROUND 7:
Brittany still holding her ground, fending off another flurry to her head with relative ease. She’s gotten used to AJ’s attacks at this point, using her arms to parry and block, and then firing an overhand that makes her step back several paces. Snow looks focused, capitalizing on Lee’s growing panic as she steps in and harasses her opponent. Lee running out of options, getting trapped with her back to the ropes and then having to weather another charge-in rush, Snow plugging in shots to her stomach before landing a clean hook off the chin. AND DOWN LEE GOES!! Seven rounds of back-and-forth action and we get the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening! Lee looks shocked, eyes shut and rolling over onto her back. The referee starts the count but Lee doesn’t make it past her knees! At least she doesn’t need to feel the humiliation of another 3-count pin! Referee reaches the end of the 10-count and waves it off! It’s over!

Official Decision: Brittany Snow defeats AJ Lee via KO7!

AFTER:

“Lee’s work in the ring was more fiction than reality,” Snow laughs in the post-fight, looking tired but over the moon. “I took a while before putting her away, but it was only a matter of time.”

Lee has to be slowly brought around by the medics. Later, she reserves choice words for Snow when reporters catch her backstage. “Just a misstep. I may be getting older but I know I can still perform in the ring.”
