Intro/Fight:
Having just eliminated one of her biggest long-time rivals from contention and now gunning for the former Lightweight Champion, Jenny McCarthy kicked the Pool-deciding fight off with a bang; practically floating on air as she remained buoyed by the increasingly legitimate chance that she could fight her way deep into this tournament. Jenny knew Kate Beckinsale's punching power from multiple first-hand experiences, but the mere fact that Beckinsale had made Strahovski look human in their bout had to boost the blonde's belief tenfold. After trading lopsided Rounds 1 and 2, Jenny McCarthy shocked Strahovski and thousands more watching by absolutely dismantling the Hall-of-Famer in the next three rounds. With Strahovski bottlenecked by a bit too much patience and wariness, McCarthy simply let it rip, erupting on the defensive-minded blonde with an incredibly ambitious assault. With her back arched over the top rope and nowhere to hide, Strahovski was lambasted by alternating slugs to her taut belly. Finally doubled over and cracking her guard, McCarthy snuck a straight left through Yvonne's forearms and pistoned her pert bosom, seemingly stopping the blonde's heart. Wobbled, Strahovski was deposited face-first to the mat by a wide-ranging left that snapped against her chin, flickering her lights for the second time in as many fights. Stunned, but resilient, Strahovski managed to find her footing at 8, but the rest of the round and subsequent 4th would be no kinder. Piggybacking off her dominance in the 3rd, McCarthy made even more of a statement by completely shutting out a daydreaming Strahovski in the next round. In one of the most shocking turns imaginable, Yvonne didn't look like she belonged in the same league as a voracious McCarthy.

Unable to totally stop Yvonne's ticker however, Jenny's momentum slowly tapered off after the 5th, even going so far as to allow Yvonne to come back and dominate the 6th round. After trading another two rounds in the 7th and 8th, it looked as though this fight was headed toward a decision and a win for McCarthy if she could just play her cards right and hold on. As the clock wound down in the 9th, the unthinkable happened for McCarthy. Perhaps exhibiting a bit too much pomp and flair as she tapdanced her way toward a decision, McCarthy managed to bumble a seemingly routine exchange; getting nabbed by a ferocious left hand that was so wild it had no business finding its mark. With her puncher's power on full display even while gassed in the 9th round, Yvonne's left buckled the preening McCarthy and sent her to her heels. Feeling the effects of fatigue but knowing this was likely her last shot, Yvonne waded forward and stacked two testing lefts onto Jenny's chin, spilling her awkwardly into the corner. Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Yvonne stapled her chest to McCarthy's wilting frame, ripping gutting right hands into her belly and finally following with a rising left hand that parted Jenny's cleavage and erupted square against the bottom of her chin. Lifting off her toes, McCarthy sloshed into Strahovski before sloppily faceplanting in the corner, dribbling her mouthpiece across the canvas. Try as she might, she couldn't rise past all fours before the count hit 10; and in stunning fashion, Strahovski had stolen the round, the fight, and Pool A.
