Pre-Fight: We are at the TD Garden in Boston for a bout between League of Mighty Women’s Anya Taylor-Joy and Global Boxing Syndicate’s Miley Cyrus. Anya’s winning streak was snapped in her last fight, so she will be looking to start a new one. Miley, on the other hand, is on a losing streak as she faced elite competition lately, so she is looking to put an end to it and try to refind her form that led to a title back in the day.

Anya addresses the audience first during the pre-fight press conference. “I hit a bump on the road in my last fight, but I was just unlucky and I will get back on track. And what better way to do that than to beat up a has-been loudmouth like Miley! She can try all she wants, but she is not an elite fighter anymore and I will prove that again tonight!”

Miley listens to her opponent with a furious look on her face and she tries hard to control her emotions as she begins to address her. “Look bytch! I might be struggling lately, but it doesn’t change the fact that I won a title and I can do it again, so I’m an elite fighter and that’s more than what you can say! You crumble against elite competition and that’s what I am, so I’ll make you my bytch tonight!” She gets up as she shouts those last words towards her opponent, but Anya just rolls her eyes, looking unimpressed by Miley’s threat. It further angers Miley and she seems to be getting ready to pounce on her opponent, but her team and the security act fast to hold her back and take her backstage as Anya watches the scene from her seat with a smug smile on her face.

It is fight night and Anya enters the arena first accompanied by her coach Gillian Anderson. She waves to the fans as they cheer for her. Gillian gives her some final instructions as Anya goes through her warm up routine.

She is wearing a navy sports bra and matching trunks with white gloves and boots, while her hair is tied into a ponytail.

Next up, Miley comes out with her coach Anne Hathaway accompanying her. Even though LMW is expected to have the home-court advantage, Miley gets an even bigger cheer from the fans. She seems to be enjoying this show of support from the crowd as she pumps her fists on her way to the ring, while Anya looks a bit disappointed. Miley’s expression quickly shifts as enters the ring and locks eyes with her opponent as she now looks deadly serious.

She is wearing a red sports bra and matching trunks with black gloves and boots, while her wavy hair is left loose.

Both fighters come to the center of the ring to receive final instructions from the referee, but then neither of them goes for the touch of gloves as they stare each other down. They only step back to their corners when the referee tells them to do so and now we are ready for 10 rounds of bantamweight action!

Fight: Round 1: Miley starts the fight as the more aggressive side as she quickly closes the distance with her opponent and swings with a hook, but Anya easily avoids it with her head movement and then steps in for a counter one-two punch before backing off again. Miley tries to put pressure again with a couple of wild hooks, but she is off-target as Anya dodges them and lands single counterpunches again.

Anya uses her opponent’s aggression against her in this opening round. Miley lands a few clean punches as well, but Anya is much more consistent so far with her counterpunching and lands more than her opponent. As the bell rings to signal the end of the round, Miley looks frustrated with the lack of results she got with her aggressive attacking, while Anya looks content as she takes the early lead on the scorecards. During the break, Anne tells her fighter to control her anger and channel it towards their game plan.

Round 2: We are getting a slower start to the second round as Miley listens to her coach and stops attacking recklessly, while Anya sticks to her defensive, counter-punching approach. Miley starts going for the body more in this round and she lands single shots, but she doesn’t commit to longer exchanges as that seems to play into Anya’s hand so far. Anya still finds some counter-punching opportunities and she makes good use of them with one-two combinations, but she is not getting them as much as she did in the first round when Miley was careless with her offense.

As the round progresses, Miley starts to find her rhythm and gets more confident with her offense as she steps in for a couple of body shots and then steps out before Anya can respond. Miley struggled in the opening round, but she is now taking control of the fight and she is clearly taking her frustration out of her opponent with those body shots landing with a thud, making Anya wince. Miley looks confident and focused at the bell as she wins the round with a dominant performance and ties the score.

Round 3: Miley dictating the pace again as she initiates the exchanges in the third round, while Anya stays on defense as she tries to readjust and get her counter-attacking game going again. Miley is not willing to give her any time to readjust though as she keeps on the pressure with her constant attacks, forcing Anya to fully focus on her defense rather than to look for openings.

Anya defends well for the most part to limit the damage her opponent can do, but just as we enter the final minute of the round, Miley slips a stiff cross between Anya’s guard that lands hard. It is the opening Miley was looking for and she quickly follows it up with a couple of hooks to the chin that rocks her opponent. Anya barely avoids the next swing and then quickly clinches with Miley to slow her down. They wrestle for position and throw some punches from the clinch before the referee separates them. Anya starts backing off and circling the ring once they are separated, but before long, Miley cuts the angle and lands a big left hook to the ribs. Anya winces and takes a step back, but then she realizes that she will be trapped in the corner, so she looks to clinch again. Miley acts faster this time though, gives her opponent a forearm push towards the corner and steps in to keep her there. It is a bad situation for Anya as her left hand is trapped behind her back in the corner, giving Miley a chance to blast the unprotected side of Anya’s abs with four shovel hooks that dig deep. Anya doubles over as she struggles to get her hand free, but the bell comes to her aid to rescue her from further punishment and a potential knockdown.

Before heading over to her corner, Miley taunts her opponent “I told you that I will make you my bytch tonight!” She looks very confident as she dominated two rounds in a row to take the lead in the scorecard. In between the rounds, Gillian tries to motivate her fighter and goes over some urgent changes to their game plan.

Round 4: Miley might have expected her opponent to stay in defense, but Anya surprises her with an attacking approach at the beginning of the fourth round. She was in a bad shape at the end of the third, but she is taking a risk to turn things around in this round and it seems to be working for her early on. She steps in and out of range to land a couple of good combinations and they are left unanswered by Miley as she seems to be trying to make adjustments after getting caught off guard. She does make those adjustments by the minute mark though and now we have a fight in our hands. Both fighters are willing to stand and trade at the center of the ring. Anya lands a double jab-straight combination, while Miley lands a left hook to the ribs and a right hook to the chin. The next couple of attempts are blocked on both sides, then Anya ducks under a hook and lands an overhand. Miley staggers back momentarily and eats a double jab follow up, but then she comes back, stepping in with her head low to land a couple of shovel hooks to Anya’s tummy. Neither fighter is backing down, so they continue to exchange leather in this relentless pace for another thirty seconds or so.

In the final minute, the fight turns into more of a physical brawl as they start to clinch more often and use shoulder bumps, forearm pushes and some trash-talking to accompany all that. By the time the bell rings, both fighters are breathing hard with marked up cheeks and bruising bodies. It was a close round, but Anya was more active in the first minute, so she got the narrow win to tie the score once again. With the way things are going though, either fighter could get a knockdown soon to change the course of the fight. Both corners are hard at work during the break to patch their fighters up.

Round 5: Both fighters are on the attack again at the start of the fifth round, but they are not as willing to engage in long exchanges like they did in the previous one. Instead, they circle around and initiate shorter exchanges. A jab by Miley gets blocked, but then she splits her opponent’s guard with a straight that forces Anya to back off. She comes back with an attack of her own soon enough though as she lands a lead uppercut to the abs and a couple of hooks to the ribs. Looks like Anya is switching her focus to her opponent’s body in this round.

Both fighters continue to land solid combinations in a tightly contested round and the damage starts to accumulate on both sides, making them wince with each blow. As we enter the final minute of the round, Miley ups the pace and goes for some wild swings, forcing Anya to back away to avoid them. A right hook to the ribs by Miley finds its mark, Anya adjusts her guard to protect her body. Thinking that it is her chance, Miley puts all her power behind a wild swing, aiming for the chin. The risk doesn’t pay off though as Anya ducks under it and lands an uppercut to the abs that knocks the wind out of Miley. A nasty right hook by Anya connects, giving Miley a blank expression and then the next hook drops her! Anya walks over to the neutral corner with a smirk on her face, while the referee begins the count. 1…2…3… Miley is lying on her back, covering her face with her left glove 4…5… she rolls over slowly as it looks like she is still trying to catch her bearings 6…7… she is on all fours now as she tries to find her way back to her feet 8…9… she gets on one knee, but she is shaking her head as she doesn’t seem to have recovered enough to stand up in time and 10! The count passes her by and it is all over!

Post-Fight: Anya quickly goes over to her corner team to get her gloves taken off and once that is done, she briskly walks over to Miley, who is still on one knee, trying to muster her strength to stand up. Anya grabs Miley from her armpits and helps her up, but she is clearly not doing it out of her kindness. Anya mocks her opponent “Who became whose bytch now, huh? Let’s take you for a walk of shame!” Then she proceeds to wrap her arm around Miley’s waist, puts her opponent’s arm around her shoulder and starts parading around the ring, showing off her vanquished foe. Once they are at the GBS corner, Anya pushes Miley towards Anne, who is not happy with the situation, but she prioritizes checking up on her fighter then to start anything.

After getting checked by the medical staff and getting the thumbs up, Miley leaves the ring with her coach. Meanwhile, Anya comes to the middle of the ring to get her hand raised by the referee and then she takes the mic to address the fans. “She is fit, I’ll give her that, but I proved again that she is just a has-been loudmouth! The important thing is that I’m back on track and I will continue to deal with the bullies, so they should be aware!” With that, she waves to the fans before leaving the ring with Gillian.
