CELEBRITY BOXING AFTER DARK

Road to the Hall-of-Fame: Lily Collins vs Emma Watson (I/Special Guest Referee: Victoria Justice

Lily:

(33, 5’5, 112, 77:18 FCBA, VIXENs)

Emma:
(32, 5’5, 59:36 FCBA, VIXENs)

BEFORE:
“It’s no exaggeration to say I’ve been waiting for this for a LONG time,” Lily Collins beams from the packed press conference.

All those after-dark matches, all that striving, has led the Vixen to this moment, both her and Emma five fights shy of the magical 1-0-0, and both eager to get there first.

There might be only ONE fight on tonight’s card, but the event is brimming with press and luminaries alike, with plenty of fellow Vixens in attendance, including Hannah Ferguson, Luisana Lopilato, and Kate Beckinsale.

Lily continues, looking like she’s just ran a full marathon and still has breath left over for tonight’s match. “Watson’s been dodging me for the last six months. Well, no more. Tonight, I finally get my hands on her. And she has nowhere else to run.”

Miss Watson smiles sweetly from the other end of the hall, waving at fans and friends alike as she strode into the hall earlier wearing a white bralette top and long black jeans.

“Who’s been ducking dear Lils?” the Harry Potter starlet quips from the other end of the ring. “She’s been out there making an utter arse of herself, getting beat up by everyone just to prove a point. Well, you wanted me, Lils. Here I am.”

First up to the center of the ring is none other than Miss Beckinsale herself, the Head of Marketing and Communications. The British actress is looking nothing like her age, putting one leg forward in a dark blue mini-dress and high white heels.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we want to welcome you to the VIX Headquarters in the heart of Los Angeles,” Kate begins, beaming. “Tonight marks the start of a Gauntlet series of fights between two of our very own Vixens, where Lily Collins and Emma Watson have agreed to face each other in a series of bouts till ONE of them crosses the threshold to qualify for the Hall-of-Fame!”

Applause and hoots of excitement erupt in the arena. By our recollection, either girl was currently at 95 wins before tonight, meaning it’ll take another five wins in order to clinch victory, in what’s going to be a brutal Best-of-9 series.

Kate continues. “I’ll leave you ladies to make your final preparations, but we do have one more surprise to kickstart your trip down memory lane.”

Beckinsale flourishes an arm and the stadium lights go dim. Suddenly, rock music begins pumping out of the house speakers, and someone’s familiar, beaming face is broadcast all over the giant LCD screens. “Please welcome to the ring your Special Guest Referee for tonight: Celebrity Wrestling Federation’s VICTORIA JUSTICE!!”

Victoria:
(29, 5’5, Celebrity Wrestling Federation)

Justice emerges through the smoke with a wide smile and both hands outstretched. She’s wearing the standard referee’s black-and-white stripes, though her top is too small and tight, showing off her toned midsection. For bottoms, the Special Guest Referee aims to steal the show, wearing a similarly tight pair of hot black shorts.

Justice relishes the look of condemnation on both Emma and Lily’s faces, with neither girl having shared a favorable history with the Flyweight. Even after Justice enters the ring and takes the microphone from Beckinsale, both Vixens are eyeing her warily.

“Can I just say what an HONOR it is to officiate this fiasco,” Justice says first, drawing laughter from the audience. “I’ve shared the ring with BOTH Lils and Ems many times before, and I would like to say before we begin that it’s going to be an absolute pleasure to see both of you smack the living sh*t out of each other.”

Lily’s narrowed brows say it all, the Vixen flaring that short temper and striding forward towards the guest referee tonight, spouting her own insults at her! Just before she gets too close, however, Justice puts out a tutting finger in her direction. “Uh uh, Lils. You mess with me and I’ll bury you in penalties. Don’t even try!”

Having little other choice but to comply, Lily backs away to her corner, as Justice goes through the rest of the motions, before asking both girls if they’re ready to start this match. Emma and Lily both give her a glare and curt nod… so she tosses the mic out of the ring and signals for the bell!

Emma has stripped down to a pair of black boxing trunks, now donning red gloves. In the other corner, Lily is in her no-nonsense black sports bra, long orange tights, and blue gloves. HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action! This here’s the first match in the Lily-Emma Road to the Hall-of-Fame Gauntlet Series!

ROUND 1:
Finally Lily has her target in sights, and is it anyone’s surprise that she CHARGES?! Emma is caught off-guard by her fellow Vixen’s ferocity, letting out yelps and shouts of surprise as Lily tears into her near her own corner, the other Brit shooting left and right combos into her arms and body from the very opening minute, then mixing in her offense with bigger overhands to the guard. Em’s getting rattled, wincing and grunting, trying to contain her rival’s excitement, and barely gets in a lick of leather before taking a bashing back. Not as though Watson’s not throwing her own punches, of course, but as she shoves a right hand into Lily’s face, she takes a ringin’ hook to the side of the head, which sends her packing and into another full retreat. Justice proves surprisingly professional on her own, bent over throughout the action and trying to keep her eye on the punches that land. Bell sounds and immediately she steps in, narrowly avoiding another wild hook from Collins, before sending her back to her corner with a stern warning to obey the bell. Not as if Collins cares - she’s won this opener wide, sporting a smile on her way back to her corner!

ROUND 2:
Speaking of corners, Head-Trainers Corey Saucier and Steve Boyd having decided to split duties over the period of this Gauntlet series, alternating between both girls’ fight camps just to maintain a spirit of parity. In between rounds, Corey’s giving advice to Emma, and Steve to Lily this time, with the rest of the VIX crew openly showing their own allegiances by ring-side. Luisana is actively in Watson’s corner, for example, cheering her name out loud, whereas Kyra can be seen chanting Lily’s name.

Girls get right back into it, especially for Lily, who makes another beeline for Watson. Smattering of jab combos once again hit the arms and body, but Emma suddenly checks and parries a swing harmlessly to the side, before burying a fist clean into Lily’s cheek! OUCH! Poor Lily looks shocked as another fist cracks into her chin, pushing her head to the side, and forcing her off balance! Watson has a mean look on her face, her own brows narrowed and a twisted grin on her lips as she walks her fellow Brit actress down, pumping leather into her sides and going back high to shove jabs into her nose and lips. Unrealistic to expect a knockdown this early in this fight between prizefighters, but both girls are playing to their strengths! Lily forced into a defensive pattern until the end of the round, blocking and weaving, and allowing Emma to take this next one wide.

Emma is slightly more compliant to the rules than her counterpart, throwing up her hands in defense once Justice gets in her face and orders her back to the corner. Fair enough, Watson says. Her beef is with Collins, and not a girl she’s already beat twice. That statement doesn’t seem to sit well with Justice, of course, who glares at her back.

ROUND 3:

Girls CLASH in the center in a haze and flurry of punches, Lily not backing down and Emma wanting to prove that she too has the ferocity and drive to dish out the same punishment. Lily grunts as a snap left hand slams into her chin, but thankful that one of her own return crosses hit Emma square on her button nose. Back-and-forth these two go, exchanging fire in close quarters, turning to the other’s tummy at one point in leather-shoved-into-ribs fashion. Emma, however, better at counter-fighting, swerves out of the way in the third minute to avoid a hook to her face. Lily STILL hasn’t learned her lesson till it’s too late, eats a facefull of leather on the Harry Potter’s return swing! Crowd goes wild as the last few seconds has Watson back to chasing after her dear rival, rocking her with more left-right combos to the body, interspersed with head-hunting flurries! Justice not forgetting that backhanded comment from the previous round, however, intervening too soon and drawing a look of fury and protest from Watson, who almost had Collins on the ropes! Lily looks shocked but grateful for the breather, her back leaning against the side and breathing hard, watching Emma get into a shouting match with the referee!

ROUND 4:
Lily finally fights smarter, breathing harder behind her gloves as she hangs back and tries to out-box her rival. Slow circle from the start, as neither girl wants to make the first move. Emma grows impatient, however, initiating with jabs and straight crosses to the arms, trying to pierce Lily’s guard and call it an early night. Lily not having it, however, responding with some effective counterattacks of her own, bopping Emma to the side of the head with a return hook, then another landing to the side of her stomach, making her wince and grunt. Emma is still testing the waters, but she’s only shown effectiveness when her opponent is the one making those unforced errors so far. Yet another of her flurries gets blocked before Lily trounces her with a wicked blast to the temple, another snap uppercut forcing her head back and rest of the body wobbling slightly. Justice scoots in between both fighters after the bell rings, saving the Harry Potter starlet from possibly going down. Good comeback for Lily Collins fans, who begin to see the turnabout!

ROUND 5:
Watson stays at range this time, however, picking and choosing her attacks with more wisdom. Lily’s jabs are blocked entirely or they miss overhead, Watson still showing off surprising agility as she bobs and weaves, before going big with looping fists to the stomach and ribs, forcing a painful grunt from Collins’ lips each time. Lily is overextending herself once again, paying less attention to her own defenses as she probably should. But Collins lands her own number to Emma’s face late in the round, pestering her with a lead left jab before driving that right cross straight down the middle of the arms, and slamming it into the dirty blonde’s chin. Emma groans, her head pushed back, then taking more pain as Lily lunges under the flailing arms to snag tummy and breasts. Emma gets caught on the ropes and has to endure more body abuse, with Lily staying at a distance and just shooting her fists in left and right. Once again, the bell proves too early, and Justice is visibly annoyed when some of Lily’s punches catch her on the arms on the way in to break things up. Lily looks a little smug, no doubt, having killed two birds with one sock. Sure, she got some points docked off at the end there, but the fight is still only at its halfway mark!

ROUND 6:
Emma looks winded from that last round tummy assault, still gingerly making it out of her corner with one arm draped around her waistline! Lily looks emboldened, striding forward and immediately opening with a big overhand swing to the arms! Emma grunts, goes into retreat towards the side from the bell, fending off more of Lily’s blasts with her rapidly deteriorating guard. Lils needs to be careful, of course, with Emma’s counter-punching skills having saved her from sticky situations many times before in the past. But as another right hand NAILS the Harry Potter girl clean on the side of the head, behind the arms, Emma seems to SAG against the ropes with a loud grunt, her knees buckling as she struggles to recover! AND HERE COMES COLLINS, stepping in close and WAILING away on her rival’s body, uppercuts drilled into her stomach and ribs from the side, before trying to KNOCK Watson’s head sky-high with similar big blasts! Emma still has her hands up but is clearly not in a good place, her eyes glazing over as she takes another stiff punch to the head, which SENDS HER SPINNING! Lily STILL bashing away at her body and arms even as Emma HITS THE GROUND, looking flabbergasted! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of this Gauntlet series from Lily Collins!

Justice is quick to intervene, shoving Lily backwards hard and repeatedly, perhaps wanting to give Emma the best chance of recovery, perhaps just being professional, perhaps relishing any opportunity to lay her hands on one of her rivals. Lily finally relents, smiling as she returns to the neutral corner.

That smug expression quickly turns dour, though, once she realizes Victoria Justice is giving her opponent one of the LONGEST 10-counts in the history of boxing! Good lord, ref! Are you new or something?! Justice striding over to Emma’s side and shouting “1!” before allowing a good 5 seconds to pass before the next number appears. Justice doing this on purpose, of course, smirking in Lily’s direction, even as Collins wants to protest but is unable to do anything but take her frustrations out on the top rope.

Watson, however, is not doing too well, trying to get back up from all fours, but her head seems glued to the canvas, one cheek still pressed into the ground, and with both eyes shut and squeezed. She’s panting hard, both gloves pushing down, trying to assist the recovery, but the rest of her body and head just are not cooperating.

Justice clearly can’t keep up the slow pace forever, the referee showing frustration of her own when she’s hit the count of 8 and Emma’s STILL lying in bowled over position. The rest of the judges and officials are already signaling for her to wrap it up, which she has no choice but to do so! All ten fingers go UP into the air, before Justice has to signal for the bell! She hisses down at Watson on the way out of the ring, calling her “one hell of a weakling” and “how in the hell did I ever lose to someone like you?!” There goes the bell and we have the first winner of the series!

Official Decision: Lily Collins defeats Emma Watson via KO6!

AFTER:

Explosion of feelings, as all that Lily has endured these past few months has culminated in her first win over Emma Watson! She leaps into the air and goes striding around the ring, raising her gloves to acknowledge her fans who’ve stuck by her all this time.

“Get up, Ems,” Lily later coos down into the back of Emma’s head, circling her slowly whilst removing her gloves. Emma is still in pain and shock, allowing Lily to take her time to toy with her rival, with several kicks and punts to her body, followed by slaps to the head.

FInally, Lily drags her up by her hair, and as the pain shoots through her scalp, Emma finally lets out a shriek, flailing about but having no choice but to comply. She’s quickly silenced, however, with a fist buried into the pit of her stomach, as Lily holds her firmly face-to-face, continuing to hiss insults straight in.

Emma tries to struggle for a moment, surprising Lily with a sudden lunge for her own hair. But Collins growls, burying another knee up into her midsection to bowl her over and send her back down to her knees.

Fitting start to this Best-of-9 and conclusion to their sordid history, with Emma’s trembling lips planted helplessly into Lily’s tummy, the brunette holding her position from above and sealing the tummy smother in with both her hands still gripped in the top of Emma’s hair.

It’s the first step to complete dominance, and Lily Collins continues to impress with this first win of the new year. Can she continue her wins and make it all the way to 100 fights unscathed? Tune in next month to find out!

We'd like to thank CWF for allowing Victoria to Special Guest Referee, to Lookout for the organisation of the entire Gauntlet series, and to Tractorpull for officiating the HoF qualification process!
